Surprisingly i got 10 fps using 2xfsaa on radeon HD 5650 Mobility :smile.gif:
Haha, wow. I'm actually surprised that it's running at a playable frame-rate. XD
Screen tearing would be obvious, but might be worth fiddling with and trying to maximize fps.
I probably should use texture sizes 64-128, i need at least 20 fps, can you use mip mapping ?
ops double post
The mip mapping gave me alot of trouble on the 256x256 pack for some really strange reason. You're graphics card is extremely similar to mine so it might do the same, but it's still worth a try. I had the mip mapping running on the 64 and the 128 just fine and actually increased the fps pretty nicely because it's rendering lower resolution blocks the further away.
about the textures them self, many leaves are very dark.
Good to hear. Hopefully it doesn't hit the frame-rate too much because mipmapping is very helpful.
Hmmmm... That may be a specific to a biome of the area. Tundra areas will usually have a dark green colored leaves and grass. Maybe post a screenshot so I can tell what's going on exactly?
Edit:
This is the overall progress I've made on making the tools/weapsons. I'm fairly pleased with the results but await hateful critique. =)
Are you sure these are pics from Minecraft? because i think you went outside and took these pictures lol
Thank you
I've worked hard on making these textures fit very well with Minecraft. =)

Fixed that I'm at a crossroad for the diamond tools. Should I go along the lines of making the tools appear almost glasslike, or should I go along the lines of the light blue metals?

I still get crashes and black screens, i've changed the Heap size via the Youtube tutorial video, but i still get an crash report. Which is below. Im using the x256 version
I've had that same problem recently on my girlfriends computer. It's more than capable of running it, but still black screens. What I did to fix it was downgraded to the 128x128 version because it just was too much when she was on a server for the 256x256. It was really annoying because regardless of installing 64-bit Java, her computer would default back to 32-bit and run MC off of that. If I uninstalled and reinstalled only 64-bit Java, the game wouldn't run at all.
If 64x Java run on a 32bit system because that would eliminate your problem. I can't remember if anyone told me otherwise. =\
Good news scuttles! you remember how I requested to have a mod that removed 3d clouds from fancy so we could have HD clouds? You posted in the thread as well.
So no one answered my request so I poked the code and figured it out myself, now you can have kickass clouds with your set and have fancy graphics too! woot
one thing i just realized because I finally got bored enough to finish it. the standing water texture is the same as the water reflection in black ops during the single player on the last mission lol.

I highly suggest you use this with your pack, this mod is modloader and wildgrass compatible as well :smile.gif:
Most superb job! I've awaited something like this for a very long time. ^^

I haven't played the campaign since release, but's possible that it's fairly close. Unfortunately MC doesn't have dynamic water and won't ripple and wave. =(
I decided against using photo manipulation on the iron shovel and drew it entirely by hand. Nothing seemed to fit it quite right to my means. Anyway, I'm sorry this is taking so long. I'm just a real perfectionist and want this to turn out even better than everyone expects.
The rest of the diamond tools will look similar to that. I'm fairly happy with the results and I'll be able to release it soon.
On a side not I've finally got around to reinstalling wild grass and had some displeasing results in my loggers hut. XD
Everything else was beautiful. =)
Hopefully once Dax improves his advanced shaders even more, this pack would look roughly like this:
Haha, thanks Martin. =)
I've been creeping around your RE project. What are the measurements of that city now? Also, I was wondering if it was based of off after or before the infection?

wow... What are the sysetm requirements for this??
Specs for the 256x256:
Probably in the neighborhood of 3-4gigs of RAM and a fairly decent CPU
A 64-bit OS makes things a bit easier due to the limitations of 32-bit Java, but it's not required.
The rest of the packs need even less RAM, but keep in mind vanilla MC takes up about 500-800mb of Ram alone at times.
Amazing work mate, I enjoy checking this every so often to see the insane quality of work you put into your textures :]
Thank you. It's nice for people to notice the amount of effort put into this pack. Higher resolutions are a pain in the ass compared to the lower resolutions.
Progress on the tools is nearing completion. The rest of the items should take quite a bit less work, but I wanted the tools, which every will look at for hours as the play, to be perfect.
I'll post up a rough draft of all the tools in a few moments.

hahaha! i love seeing people who's specs are a bit below what's needed.... then i go and buy a super computer to play minecraft.... haha, slightly overkill. anyways, i can assure you that a good graphics card helps a lot too.
Lol, then this pack is also boosting computer sales. Keep the currency flowing. ^^
A good graphics card won't necessarily allow a smoother game. MC runs solely based off of Java which is a process for your CPU and RAM to take care of. If your graphics card has a decent amount of RAM on it, then it can boost it pretty quickly. Anything with about 256mb-512mb will run this pack just fine with little to no lag. 128mb cards are pushing into the laggy, but playable, area.
If you people lag, Try running it through xau's patcher - Test minecraft
It supply's more memory for the game from your computer. Worked for me.
And Scuttles... I want to be in the first post.... for something XD
Didn't you say you edited my sand and made a better tiling sand? Love the pack, Still. And I updated it to the latest version just to test. I also kind of edited your items.png.... The bed icon was red and the actual bed is brown.

Curse Premiumedit: the wooden axe should have a chip missing :tongue.gif:
The damn shovel keeps pissing me off. XD
Alright, back to the drawing board. I'll work on that and give a nice chip to the wood axe.
Edit:
I updated the title to see if I can get more outside opinions. The more the better to improve this. ^^
Edit2:
I hope I don't get spammed now that I think of it. =\
