Hey I'm new to Minecraft and trying to install this texture pack. Haven't had any success nor have I found any support anywhere that is working. Have not read through all 500+ pages on this thread which i think is understandable so maybe I'm missing something obvious. Ive patched using the MCpatcher HD and have tried both 1.7.2 and 1.6.4 but when i place the (LB Photo Realism x256 10.0.0-converted-1374012707213) into the resource pack folder it doesn't show up in game. Multiple friends of mine who play minecraft have been unable to figure this out either. Any suggestions? Thank you. The pack looks incredible by the way from what I have seen.
I have a completely un modded minecraft, version 1.7.2, and it works fine for me. make sure you drag the compressed folder( dont unzip it) into the resource folder that opens from within the minecraft game, then close the resource folder. exit minecraft. reopen minecraft and go into the resource packs, ytou should see lb on the left, click the left arrow on it to move it to the right side so that it is above the default texture pack, click done, and wait a moment or two for the new pack to take effect. worked like a charm for me. had to help several of my friends install it this way. I think not extracting helps/is the key.
I did exactly as instructed, yet still I can not access the texture pack. I started with a fresh minecraft, just installed, only played once for about 5 minutes. Downloaded MCPatcherHD and patched. Ran minecraft and inserted the texture pack as downloaded still zipped. Exited minecraft, but upon reopening, there is nothing listed in the resource packs. Not sure if this matters, but when i attempt to unzip it, it asks for a password and keyfile and does not allow me to unzip. I have not seen this before with any other mods for different games.

Don't unzip it. So you are saying you downloaded the pack and dragged the zip into the "resourcepack" folder in ".minecraft" folder?
Also, there shouldn't be a password unless it's admin permissions. I modified the pack myself to attempt to restore the compass textures.
I have a PC. I did not unzip it, nor can I. If i attempt to uzip with winRAR I get this (! C:\Users\Hedgepath\Desktop\LB Photo Realism x256 10.0.0-converted-1374012707213.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged). If i attempt in another program I am asked for a passkey. I have tried downloading from many sites, yet they all link the same file. I have tried with and without modifications. I understand that to use the pack I must switch it from the left to the right of the Resource pack list, but my issue is that it doesn't appear on the left under available resource packs.
weird very weird u really did everything only thing that could be is that the zip is damaged but i guess u redownload it allready.
anyway trie it once on another pc to see if it works there if so then there is something wrong with ur pc maybe.
Yeah sounds like a corrupt download to me. Download it again and then try to unzip it with something like 7zip (which is free) and it should unpack cleanly. Reason is if winrar cant unpack it minecraft cant either.
Alright. Had a rough week with illness and work, but I'm back to working on this. First I'm going to tweak the clay colors a bit to make more realistic and then I'll post more foliage such as the blue orchid.
i see the season got u too winter is a hard season with sickness and stuff i got a cold and i felt like i got flue a few days ago i was glad when it did not come to a real flue anyway glad ur back hope to see those blue orchids they seem nice i like blue its my fav color
but do u get a clue when u will be finished i'm curious when i can see this new flower textures and more myself?
i got good news i just finished with my church building to show stained glass
link: LoBH Museum.zip
its also my museum world so all the buildings or redstone i once builded or even designed is in there and even a few builds from friends so if u want u may look but dont copy stuff.
I don't have a good estimate on a release date yet. I will, however, get a "beta" going pretty quick here so people can atleast play with the new foliage and other blocks that I have finished as I work on everything else.

Funny, I was just going to ask you what your expected ETA on completing it was.
I'd be waaaaaaaaaaaay more than happy to beta-test it for you.

Pardon the noob question, but will this beta release be compatible with MC 1.6.4?
Just wanted to say, I love your Photo Realistic so much, I usually won't upgrade to the new version of minecraft until your latest version of the Photo Realistic Pack is out.
Now, at the pain of sounding like a neophite, I hear tell from the posts that there is a beta out there. How do I get it so I can start playing around in 1.7? (BTW, I'm still back at 1.6.2 ;( )
if u read the last 2 pages u will see scuttles said he gonna release a beta so its not out yet.
i know i mentioed it in my posts but i did not knew i gave people the idea it was allready released.
Oh!
Woopse! I don't feel so neophite now
Can't wait for it to come out. I've been having fun prepping my world for 1.7; getting all the arieas mapped out so I don't have strange terrain artifacts after the new map generator gets ahold of it
I want to see those new biomes with LBG Photo Realistic! <Yay!>
The Beta will be compatible for the latest version of MC. It will only be
So far it will have:
-foliage overhaul
-hardened clay colors
-stained glass
-fixed clock/compass
-coal block
-podzol blocks for new biome
-red sand
-packed ice
-possibly new leaves/logs. Not many photos in my archive for leaves at the moment.
I've just finished pacifying the clay colors to become more "earth-like". I'll try to get as much done as I can. Expect a release Saturday.
I'll post some screens of the new content up tonight as well.
I can't wait to see the blue orchids! Bright blue is my favorite color so I hope they are a nice stand out rich bright medium blue color, not washed out and pale. <3what is left to do on top of the other things you listed?Have you seen faerie's photo realism pack? I only bring this up because her birch trees 'pop' or seem to stand out alot. maybe you could make the birches a little more...something...haha

They will pop out fairly nice in the environment. =)
I've got a ton of icon work to do as well as GUI. I want to also work on the biome colors with the new biome system that has been implemented. I wish to blend them more seamlessly and realistically.
I've looked into the pack and it seems they have a ways to go on improving seamless textures as well as tweaking the colors for a more fluid and organic world.
That being said, the birch texture you mentioned is far more stylized than it is in our world but it does "pop" as you said. =)
One little thing is that i'd love for the signs to be a bit clearer, easier to read without having to have my face mashed up against them. I'm sure it's harder than it sounds but if you are already overhauling the gui, perhaps that could be looked at too. I have been using your pack exclusively since 2012, my other flings with photorealistic packs( like faerie's i mentioned) always left me feeling like there was something lacking.
Long story short, nothing compares to your beautiful work.

It's an open beta so everyone can help with feedback and find things I may have missed in my checklist.
