Still chipping away at it. The list of things left is slowly shrinking though. Won't be much longer.
just wanted to pop in and say the update is looking good so far man... happy to see you got a hay texture to work.... that was a huge headache for me...always had too obvious of a tiling issue in the center line of the blocks.
can't wait to see what you come up with for stained glass!

I don't know if it's on your list or not, but the iron bars texture seems to be a little off. When viewed on the edges, it has little "bits" sticking out, something the default texture and other packs that I've seen don't have. Not sure if they are intentional or a bug but it doesn't look right when you use iron bars without them connected some something else on all edges. Noticed it when I went to make an iron bar fence.

-snip-
That looks like a crossbar issue. I just need to enlarge the edges to make it work accordingly. I'll add it to my todo list, but no promises this next update. =)

The only snags I'm having so far is the foliage. It's taking hours to extract plants out of images. Especially the new rose plant I'm working on. That's been a trip. =/
I'm torn between a few decisions for stained glass. I'm not sure if I should take the traditional approach with just tinted glass or have detailed designs for each color for people to work with and create things from.
I figure I should update everyone on what I've been working on so far.
New rose texture. Needs some cleaning up still around the edges.
Been messing around with glass-like textures to use for stained glasses. This is much more opaque than it will be when ready. I just needed to see how it tiled and looked in block form.
Had a little fun (went a little crazy) with the tall roses. This is NOT the final texture and it needs heavy polishing. I just threw a bunch of the regular rose bushes together and tweaked each of them to look more unique and ended up liking the result so far. I'll finish this one up hopefully soon.

where is the download in want this texture provide a download
Well nice but you know the old roses were replaced by poppies? Just saying ^^
Methinks those textures are for the new Rose bush plant.
Edit: After double checking I stand corrected. I thought that there were two types of rose bush, single and double height in addition to the red poppy. But it appears that there is only the double height one.
The hardened clay. I may need to work on the vertical tiling, but I'm going to just push forward for the time being.
It looks good so far. Just curious, are the colors of clay textures similar to default? Lot of texture pack makers don't and it is one of my biggest pet peeve. Unlike wool, original hardened clay have reddish color instead of white, so mixing with dyes doesn't give you same color as dyed wool. I used Cyan hardened clay for one of my buildings because of nice gray color and lot of resource packs have it in actual cyan.
Sorry for the inactivity the past couple days. I came down with a real bad cold and was sleeping a majority of the time. I'm getting well and I'll see what I can get for everyone today.
I'm going to look into the clay colors and blend them more appropriately and realistically.
Thanks for the heads up on the poppy flowers. I didn't realize they were changed since the name is still called a rose.
Glad to see that an update for 1.7.2 is in the works! This resource pack is sooooooo awesome!!!!!
Maybe, eh sometime soon after this update you cold do some custom sounds too? Somehow, watching all these HD mobs make the original x16 sounds seems a sacrilege to the awesome textures.
I can get some recordings of cows, horses and dogs if you want? I happen to live on a ranch
Is it possible to make this useful on an xbox 360 using a USB? I've done this with some packs here but they were for Xbox. Does anyone know if it is possible with this pack?

Hey there emeralds. I see you there being all useless!

i don't think it works
the xbox files are set up diferently to the pc version of the game
I have been using this pack for what feels like years now, and absolutely adore it. Nothing comes close. I was just wondering if there were plans to update potato plants so they look like potatoes instead of carrots, and i'd desperately love to see horses/horse armor done. they are so jarring in the realistic world!
Just my observations, understood if they arent being thought about, Was just hoping to make it that tiny bit better.
I cant wait for you to release this Texture pack scuttles. I dont know how much work is involved but I guess its the fine tuning to get the quality right that takes the time. Thanks for all your doing and looking forward to the update!

That's quite a long break, haha.
Are you making a pack again or have you been just around the forums?
