Scuttles, I would like to say great work on the texture pack so far.
I am sure you have noticed a few people have been encountering performance issues while using your texture pack. This is due to trying to run 100% vanilla Minecraft without optfine or mcpatcher. While minecraft can load the texture pack, performance is reduced to a crawl even on higher end machines. My computer has a Core i7-2600k cpu running at 3.4GHz, 16GB of DDR3 ram, and an Nvidia GTX580 graphics card. When I try to run Minecraft without optfine, performance drops to 16fps. When I turn optfine back on performance returns to normal.
This is only an issue with extremely high-res texture packs. 64X texture packs work just fine.
Many thanks for the update, Scuttles! I've been using it since the 30th March and it's working fine for me (I'm using the x128 version along with OptiFine).
It turned out that I must have been using an old version and that's why I was missing so many item textures/icons. It's so much better now! So thankyou for your continued work on this pack.
Awesome texture pack however I'm seeing orange X's above the torches in the game both on buildings and in my hand. I also notice some lines between blocks. I heard the lines were supposed to be fixed in 1.5.1 however they weren't, I've also seen them in another texture pack. I'm using the 256x textures, Optifine, and MC 1.5.1. I tried MCPatcher but that didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions?//i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o711/NateinMpls/2013-04-01_171156_zpsc563ca4a.png" width="" height="" alt="" />" width="" height="" alt="" />

As for the lines, try turn on the "connected textures" toggle on optifine menu
lol, but you do know that when the "pointer" is at a block it gets "selected" and you can see it's bounderies, just in case this is your case.
Yes I know that but it's there when I point at another block and that doesn't explain the torch in my hand. Also when I looked at my garden there were lines radiating from the plants
Hey i seem to be getting network error whenever i download x256 lb realism from mediafire, is it possible to make an alternate link? also is x256 working for 1.5.1?
hi would it be ok with you if i could use some wood textures from your pack for my texture pack i am making and im also going to be making a lets play series soon using your texture pack.
i didnt check yesterday on account of it being aprilfools and this TP is what i have been looking forward to more than most things... but lucky its the day after now...
So the hotel we went to didn't have any internet access. I apologize for the disappearance. In brighter news I'm now in Hawaii so that means some really nice opportunities for textures. =)
It seems many people are having issues with the new 1.5 with the texture pack.
My best best is to stick with Optifine to help with crashes. I've been running it without issue. Also be sure to update your graphics card and disable any silly settings such as CATALYST AI which caused issues with my computer.
Just out of curiosity, but are you going to make the x512 for the regular Photo Realism (Not the RPG) that has ALL the textures? I noticed it had stuff like the grass, Quartz and some others, but not all of them in the link you posted
Edit: You said you wanted to see some creations in your Texture Pack and a shader mod so here is one I've been working on, but taking a break from it http://imgur.com/a/uqgv5
Since I natively made the LB pack to x256, I have to build the new textures from the ground up to be entirely x512+.
This will just come in time since all the new textures have been created in 1024x just in case. A x512 will be in the future for sure.
Heya. I love your texture pack. I've been using it since probably just before Minecraft got out of beta. My computer can't quite handle the really high def, so I use the 64x64 version. It's still pixellish enough to be minecraft, and yet looks beautiful.
However, I was really disappointed about the color of Mycelium when I found out just five minutes ago. I'm on a survival server, and I want to build something involving the ground being purple and slimy looking. And I wanted it to be a real great achievement. So I legitimately managed to get an enchantment table, managed to get a diamond pickaxe with Silktouch on it, and went off on a journey across the ocean, exploring lost wilderness and vast seas on my journey to find a mushroom biome and harvest the Mycelium on it.
And at last, I finally found it. But the Mycelium was just normal grass. Green, and... grassy. xD
I respect your design choices, but I'm going to find a way to make the Mycelium purple-ish again. If I have to edit that texture every time I update the texture pack, or use a different texture pack, that's what I'll do, haha!

You can get different mycelium texture from other photo realism texture packs. Scuttles made that mistake long ago and forgot about it.
This texture pack have best mycelium out there. It's purple and grassy. You'll have to use MCpatcher program to convert this pack, so you can take two textures(mycel_side.png and mycel_top.png) from it and add to your texture pack. http://www.minecraft.../page__hl__512x
I actually came up with a pretty nice solution. The whole reason I wanted the mycelium to be purple was because I wanted to build something involving the ground being slimy. Purple and grassy would've been enough for me, but when I found out mycelium was green and grassy, I just knew I had to do something about it.
There was one guy making a texture pack called Erebus that I liked the mycelium of, but he didn't release it yet. So I downloaded a texture of Zerg Creep from Starcraft 2, added brightness and saturation to make it less gray and more purpley, saved that as mycel_top.png, and edited it onto the dirt texture for mycel_side.png. I'm surprised it doesn't look too bad for such a quick job. (I use 64x64.)

I don't like the new grass texture... It looks like foam. If I have to, I'll edit the texture pack as well.

Well I looked at the options and it was set to "fancy"

~60 vs. ~50 fps.
GENERATION 28: When you see this put it in your signature and add 1 to the generation.
