Agreed, however as I can't play with the graphic myself, throw the gravel next to it.. I'm getting a odd feeling that might look a lot a like in some ways..
I just like to keep things feeling different. Because of this new texture layout, it is very simple to replace the new stone texture with an older version in seconds without the use of an image manipulator such as Photoshop or GIMP. That being said, I'll try to start making many alternatives to the current textures to almost give a "painterly" approach to a realistic texture pack.
So the old stone texture will always be available. =)
I think as stone is probably the most common thing we see in the game, more so in a nice cave or something, that change to this could be interesting and scarey..
course if you change the stone you gotta change all the ores too.. wink..
With 1.5 though it's pretty easy to flip out to the old stone if people want though.

I'm not too sure about the sand. It looks a little bit like marble to me, but oh well. That new redstone texture looks amazing, by the way.
I may have to agree that it doesn't come off as sand without really looking at it and knowing the placement of it near water. I think I will go ahead and create that wind-swept wave pattern into the texture to give it a sandy feel.
Hi Scuttles. Firstly, I wanted to say that yours is my favourite texture pack for Minecraft and that I don't play without it. I converted the old version of your texture pack so I could keep using it with the new Minecraft version. The conversion isn't perfect, but better than nothing.
Secondly, I'm looking forward to the next update for full v1.5.1 Minecraft compatibility. It's nice seeing some of the existing textures re-done but I was wondering if new textures for the anvil, carrots, potplant pots, and the new quartz blocks and redstone items will be included in your next update?
I can't take the teasing anymore. Please just shoot me or release the update. Not really images look great now I know why you are waiting to release it. But it's hard to look at them and know you can't have them YET. Man you have out done yourself this time can it get any better. Knowing your work I'm betting on you. Thanks again for the best texture pack ever.
I apologize for the teasing. This update has many more changes than usual so I want to make it just right. Additionally, so many things can go wrong with this unfamiliar layout that I want to have a smooth update.

The textures you've listed should already be available to pack unless you're using the RPG pack which is quite a bit outdated at this point.
The new stone looks pretty good. It's lot better than LB photo realism version. My favorite stone texture is RPG version. It looks so smooth and cool to touch. I can't stop staring at it. I really like the new dirt texture. Will these textures be available in 512x? Are you using 128x or 256x in these pictures? It looked pixelized.
I don't post often, to be honest I'm not much of a fan of forum angst, but your work compels me to do so. Vanilla textures drive me to just want to blow up things. Your texture pack, however, drives my building sprees. The redstone blocks looks wonderful. Everything is quite nice, even the netherrack which I abhor generally. Please do keep up the good work and I, and a good portion of our server, await the update with pickaxe in hand.

I say we take off, and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Could you maybe implement different textures for same blocks, so they dont all look the same...? Been fan of your LB texture pack for like 2 years now, and its still the best! But now i see more and more texture packs using more than 1 texture for same blocks lik KoP 256x256 Realism texture pack. Its just a suggestion...:)

The textures I've been creating lately are actually 1024x1024 natively. This ultimately means that I can eventually get around to a x1024 pack when the time comes. I can post a download to them if you're interested in testing such large images.
The screenshots were taking running them in a x256 resolution.

I appreciate the support. I shall do my best to keep you building your heart out. I also was not a fan of the vanilla textures. =)

Keep up the awesome work! :3
That is quite high on my list of things to do after this next patch. I certainly plan to start working on the variations to the textures to create a more seamless and dynamic environment.

Seems slightly different, but it may vary under different lights and resolutions.
New sand texture. May add in some small waves into the texture as well
Edit for wrong link fix:

Exactly. =)
Okay that looks nice with the gravel.. actually like that a lot..
However you didn't post the sand, you posted the gravel again.. wink.. LOL..
Ahhhh!!! My bad. =(

that might look better than sandstone.. LOL..
I will be interesting to see who this all looks with my existing worlds.
Of course a texture pack will cause building choices on what blocks to use etc.. so this will be interesting!
I will have to change the sandstone to match the color tones of the new sand, ofcourse. =)
Here's the new redstone blocks: http://i.imgur.com/LqK61ja.jpg
I also added in the RPG ferns as I like them more than the LB ones. http://i.imgur.com/Hdfcpuq.jpg
They work well with the pack it seems.
wow.. hmm I might have to do something with that other than redstone.

Of course. I have full intentions of getting all resolutions of this pack available.
