That is cartoon, this is REALISM. Two totally different styles. If you want a cartooned looking game then realism isn't for you, but if you want realistic looking textures then this is the only pack I would recommend as it is the only one with a consistent look and feel across all the entire pack.
Yeah, the only problem I've found wth the texture pack is that the flower pot gui texture is missing.
Hope they fix that, always loved this pack. But I noticed something...no random mobs. OP says that they have permission from Misa to use her pack, but there's no wide selection of mobs. Hope they will change this too.

Do I need MCpatcher or can I just use Optifine that I normally would?
Either/Or, they do the same but Optifine adds more things. I use both because I like what MC Patch has to offer and handles some things that Optifine has that I disable.

IF you have problems with ANYTHING texture related a Picture is quite nice to have showing the problem, and asking WITHOUT an obscene amount of exclamations and annoyance, this is a place for discussion and if you have a problem we are here to help, just give us something to work with, i.e. detailed explanations, and pictures, if you have problems with a any texture make sure you are correctly patched, look in past post to see if anyone else had the same problem, and see if you can find a solution before making your post, as it saves time.

Not sure about the second part, but the first part for the crash would be a "heavy load" circumstance as I looked at that error, you had way to much going on at one time and your MC just couldn't keep up, it will probably happen every time you generate a world with the current mod load you have, but once you crash you can come back and pick up after world gen and everything's fine, but that's just with my experience.
Is this a joke? This pack hasn't been updated since 1.3.2. We are about to begin 1.5 snapshots. This tex pack is dead. Honestly screw the rules someone else update this the author is clearly not playing MC right now.

I have 6GB ram and use the Java for windows 7
In Magic Launcher I set the program memory max to 768MB and the java parameters are set to -xms1024m -xmx1536m
I don't know much about these settings, I just set them according to settings I read on a thread somewhere.
Since you have 6GB of RAM, set sms to 1536 and smx to 3072. Set max memory of Magic Launcher to 3072. Try it and see if it works. If not, then do the following:
1) Download the Executable .JAR file from minecraft.net.
2) Copy that file into the .minecraft folder.
3) Create a text file and put the following into it:
And then save it as "minecraft.bat".
4) Place the new batch file into the .minecraft folder and create a shortcut to it on the desktop.
5) Run game from the batch file.
Not familiar with Magic Launcher but if it works the same as MCPatcher, then you shouldn't have problems running it. If there is, then use MCPatcher to install .jar file items.
Actually with magic lanucher, you can control the memory it uses with a box in the settings where you simply type in the amount. Running magic launcher with 3 gigs of memory won't do anything to minecraft.

Either/Or, they do the same but Optifine adds more things. I use both because I like what MC Patch has to offer and handles some things that Optifine has that I disable.

Did this happen on world gen, or whilst playing?
On World Gen, though it might have been caused by old video driver and old Java. Updated both and seems to be running OK, but can you answer a question?
If this pack has Misa's permission to use random mobs, why isn't them alot more mob varieties? The mob textures are scarce and Misa's has a lot to offer. I tried incorporating them, but got continuous GL Rendering Errors in the command window.

Retired StaffNot sure about the second part, but the first part for the crash would be a "heavy load" circumstance as I looked at that error, you had way to much going on at one time and your MC just couldn't keep up, it will probably happen every time you generate a world with the current mod load you have, but once you crash you can come back and pick up after world gen and everything's fine, but that's just with my experience.
If you're using random mobs:
!) are you using Misa's or another one?
2) use mcpatcher to handle random mobs and a few other things.

You mean the A3 version? You're up to date then with it.
How much RAM do you have and are you running the game through the .EXE or .JAR?
What version of Java do you have?

Since you have 6GB of RAM, set sms to 1536 and smx to 3072. Set max memory of Magic Launcher to 3072. Try it and see if it works. If not, then do the following:
1) Download the Executable .JAR file from minecraft.net.
2) Copy that file into the .minecraft folder.
3) Create a text file and put the following into it:
And then save it as "minecraft.bat".
4) Place the new batch file into the .minecraft folder and create a shortcut to it on the desktop.
5) Run game from the batch file.
Not familiar with Magic Launcher but if it works the same as MCPatcher, then you shouldn't have problems running it. If there is, then use MCPatcher to install .jar file items.

It does help to have more memory associated with Minecraft when running HD textures.
