Then do I just put the LB photo realism RAR file in the texture pack folder?
yes, always put your texture pack zip file inside the texture pack folder.
If you use magiclauncher along with optifine, you'll only have to load minecraft and change the texture pack in the texture pack option.
If you use mcpatcher, you will have to patch your minecraft with the directions indicated to follow with mcpatcher (i havent used it in over a year so i dont remember the whole process, but its detailed on the forum thread)
Optifine is the best patcher. It does much more than MCPatcher. Optifine and MCPatcher should not mix together.
I was not advocating him to use optifine with mcpatcher, i was telling him to use optifine and magiclauncher and provided a link to all options mentioned as i believe he/she should make the decision about the best tools for them
Been using another popular texture pack, but I'm really looking forward to the updates on LB PR for 1.4.5. If you see this Scuttles, could you throw us your best ETA until 1.4.5 release? Not knowing is just killing me, and I promise I won't hold you to that date, because RL can happen!
I won't directly ask for an eta, but has anyone heard of any news? For the ones that don't know, you can take textures from an updated pack, and move them over to the LB pack so you have a complete pack. As far as i know its legal, as long as you don't distribute it as your own, you should be fine.
May die? If Minecraft gets a major update, it would be in huge development or die. I thought I heard the owner say he was making textures, but at a slower rate then normal due to some reasons which are explain there that I forgot.

The reason is he's working for some game company making textures.
How hard can it be for the minecraft developers to add higher res...so we dont have to use MCPatcher...it would also help them get more sales, since many people, including me, dont(or dident) want to play this game because it looks like **** when they see screenshots,...
if they add higher res then the game wil look much better when they try to sell it...and higher res realy doesent slow the game down at all, so that is not the reason they stil use crappy 16pixel crappy textures.
Wait for Version 1.5 very early next year. Watched Minecon and someone asked a question regarding high res and they said it is coming along with Mod API / Redstone update.
I have a client that plays Minecraft Classic. It automatically can convert your AWESOME HD realistic texture pack to a Classic one. But because it is missing the water and lava texture in the terrain.png, nothing will look right. I am working, also on bundling texture packs for a program that I'm making. If you could please add the water and lava textures to the terrain.png, that would be helpful. Thanks
The water and lava textures are not there because they are animated, but to convert, he can provide you with an unanimated textures or you can do it yourself by editing the textures from the animation parts.

I am using the x32 textures and I am having a trouble with the water, fire and lava textures I can't see them, these are just invisible to me.
I would really like to use these textures but swimming through invisible water may be funny but deadly, hope you can help me.
