Old smoothstone:
Old smoothstone tiled terribly when in giant amounts which is why I created that new one. It's certainly not finished, but will tile much better after this.
I know I've said this many times, BUT I FREAKING LOVE YOUR PACK.
I try my best. ^^
Thanks for your help and input as well.
I decided to play around with your sand texture and ended up with a blend of both sand textures which turned out pretty well. It has very soft ripples which tiles beautifully and looks fairly nice in deserts.
It may have been said before but I didn't read all 30 pages. My minecraft was just closing most of the time while loading the 256x256 pack before I could get to the menu. Turns out it correlated with the java vm getting to 1GB of memory usage. So I changed the heap size to allow a maximum of 2GB and the game loads ever time now. Java is using about 1.2GB of ram or so, but my machine handles that fine. So if anyone has that same issue they should look into changing the heap size as well. It's pretty easy and I could probably make a tutorial if needed.

Looks nice, The Image could also be of use as a Sandstone (The unedited one) As the top.

nvm about the not digging it comment, i didnt notice until now how far you are away. I dont suppose you could do a side by side comparison of the old and new.

Nao. I'd increase mine to 2.5GB (Leaving 1.5GB)
No reason, it's using 1.2 now so nothing else is going to use that other 800MB.

That would be wonderful, actually. I could post it on the main page. This could be a big reason why many people aren't able to get this working.

Not possible to do side by side unless we edit it... I'll do it!
(I need the stone texture scuttle)
Knock yourself out. (An expression... I do not wish much harm upon you)

cant get the 256 to work. it patches but when i go to open minecraft it crashes. the 128 works fine though
Have you tried downloading java 64-bit? I'm guessing the new update of this game is taking more memory than it used to an as a consequence the HD packs are feeling it ten-fold. =/

@Pazaz do you ever actually play minecraft? lol you've been glued to this thread for a couple days now.. hehe
Nothing like a good ol' dedicated fan. XD
Edit:
Few pictures
New seamless smoothstone
New desert. Yay or nay?
About the 256x256 version, I'm one of the few unable to get it past the MoJang logo most of the time. Unless it's through the "test mincraft" option in the HD Patcher.
I saw the post about installing a 64bit Java, naturally I didn't believe that an 32/86bit OS would run that without some tweaking and that was the result I came to.
However this heapsize managing sounds like it would be a viable solution, I'll Google it myself now, but the tutorial may help though who have more than the currently allocated 1gb of ram.
Old smoothstone:
I lag - 8FPS when the world starts to generate, But when its done I get 55.
Glad you like it. ^^
