I still like a lot your texture pack, but there's a point I dislike a little bit (nothing alarming though); you changed the typo (font). I don't really like the new font (I think the kerning between two characters is too high). I'm using (refering to) LB Photo Realism 256 with MC 1.2.3. Otherwise, you still do a fantastic job... thanks!
Hi! I'm an italian user of minecraft (sorry for my bad english). I write a post here to sorry with the creator of this texture pack because i did'nt see the legal terms of his use... and i posted a video in youtube with it inside!
I'm here to ask authors if i must remove this video... or if i can keep it online (please... ). I'm a supporter of creative commons licence and hate copyright violators.. this action was involuntary! this video has no lucrative purposed (i'm not a youtube partner and i not gain money in any way from it), is released under licence creative commons attribution-share alike (you are cited in the description) and is a tutorial that talk about griefing in protected areas. Link is under:
If you tell me that i'm not allowed to keep the video i will remove it from youtube... sorry again for my bad english and for this error!
You are allowed to make videos featuring the texture pack, so feel free to make more.
The copyright in the original post of the thread basically says you are not allowed to redistribute files from the texture pack without permission from Scuttles. Videos are always welcome, publicity is always a good thing.
I'm sure Scuttles enjoys any type of promotion of his work.
It'll work fine except the stuff that was added (haven't downloaded the patch yet, was there anything new added at all? I thought it was just a couple of bugfixes).
This is a texture pack, not a mod^^
Different trees make different coloured planks (3 new plank items) and there are new recipes for different sandstones (2 new sandstone items).
That's quite considerable.
If anyone is REALLY impatient, I edited the terrain.png in the LB Photo Realism pack. I just took the planks he had before and adjusted brightness/levels to get planks that differ somewhat relative to the default planks. For the sapling I just merged 2 other saplings together. I didn't really even care what it looked like since I edited it mainly for the planks. Here's what they look like:
I'm no scuttles but if you drop this into your current Photo Realism archive then you can at least play with the new planks and not have holes in your world.
Uhm, not sure if this is just me or what but the jungle saplings and the new wood planks are blank items for me. i use the 64x64 size pack but eventhe 256 x256 pack isnt showing them.

They are new textures. The 'background' for terrain.png is a transparent layer so if a texture pack hasn't implemented textures that exist in the game then those new textures will appear as clear textures. The only way to get them to show is to switch to the default textures, wait for scuttles to update the pack or edit the terrain.png yourself to add the missing textures. If you choose to do the editing yourself, here is a screen of terrain.png with the new texture locations highlighted:
ok so first i LOVE this mod, the textures are awesome and it makes the game so much better. I do have a question however, i can only run the 32x32 pack for some reason. This boggles me because i can play many of the newer games (skyrim bf3 wow, sc2 ect) on max graphics with NO LAG at all. This pack however, stutters something horrible. I increased the amount of ram minecraft uses (i have 8gb i set MC to use 2). However it still stutters. I downloaded the 64bit java (confirmed with IE64) however i still stutter pretty badly. Any help would be appreciated because my hardware should allow me to run the 256 pack without any issues.

probloem is, it did the same thing when it was updated for 1.2.3. the jungle saplings weren't there but the other things like the mob eggs were. Now it says 1.2.4 updated when i googled it and came here but those textures still arent there. drove me nuts in 1.2.3 when i couldnt find my jungle saps.

jungle saplings were just forgotten in the last update. Googling for it comes to this page because it's the closest you can get- everyone is waiting for an update or doing updates themselves.
I don't suppose someone has a pack for 1.2.3 that has the new 1.2 textures? I do need 1.2.3, not 1.2.4, because my mods are still not all updated for it and I'm about to film.

Wanna upgrade, wanna, wanna. New items forever ;>

PAIN FOREST, THE BIOME FOR MEN
Very nice. Thanks.
I'd like to suggest something along the lines of this:
for the dark wood texture
also Egyptian style of decorated sandstone, with a Minecraft style to it?

Thank you very much! At least we can point the whiners to this if they start harassing about an update.
