The vines/trees are not full resolution yet so those will look much nicer in the beta release (hopefully next week). These are very difficult to work with textures and creating seamless environments is already a pain in the ass for Minecraft. >.<
I will also have the fix for the missing jungle saplings and I guess I didn't put in the food bar so I'll add that in as well. I had it finished, but never saved it to a .png it seems. =(
This update will probably come in a few days or maybe tomorrow depending on how my studies go.
Oh, and the connected texture mod part of optifine will be added. I'm not too happy with the glass because I went for maximum vision originally so it includes many invisible blocks. Anyone know to how possibly fix that? =S
I think that pretty much covers many of the questions/issues I was seeing. I apologize for the blanket answers.
I'm liking the new stone and dirt textures. The grass looks great and I noticed there are random small leaves mixed in it. I bet they would look great at 768x. About the connected glass textures, you could add some specks on it. This is Minecraft and we don't expect the windows to be 100% clean.
I have a big problem. Why does the Jungle Biome look like this:
I don't know what's happening. Can anyone explain?
Did you actually go into that biome, because that happened to me on a world I recently generated, with a different texture pack, and it was all weird. I could walk through the areas where the trees "should" be, and if I punched the air a sort of invisible "block" got cracked up and broke at about the same speed as a glass block would. This "air block" didn't drop anything, but I don't think it was a texture issue. Haven't really figured out the cause, but in my case at least I don't think it has to do with texture packs.
EDIT: That is to say, usually when it is a texture problem, the trees would actually exist in their normal state, even if the texture didn't load right. In my case, there weren't any trees there.
IF YOU ARE RUNNING OUT OF MEMORY OR EXPERIENCE CRASHES READ BELOW:
Using the following method also may resolve the "white box" issue.
This is how to increase your memory towards Java in just a few simple steps! I highly recommend you do this if you are experiencing the out of memory error. http://www.minecraft...o-java-windows/

About this pack:
This pack was originally to appease my insatiable hunger toward making this game as realistic as possible. What started as a compilation of other mods became a new texture pack of it's own.
DONATE!!!!
Donations are more than welcome. I've decided to not only use the donations to purchase textures to use for this pack, but the wife and I have agreed to start collecting a baby fund for the future:
People to thank for their large donations:
Thank you for your dedication and donations. I really appreciate people understanding the delicate time and effort put into these higher resolution packs.
If I don't know your forum name, I post just the first for confidentiality. ^^

--The first Adfly links allows me to get a little bit of money for your patience of 5 seconds. Again, all of this will go towards purchasing of new textures and the fund. ^^
-The second Adfly link is an extremely experimental compressed version of this texture pack. It reduces the amount of memory used when playing and hopefully resolves some white box issues. Memory drops vary from computer to computer.

I had a few personal requests to do these lower resolution textures. They still need heavy refinements but still came out pretty decent with the downsampling. I won't be doing compressed versions of these since it would simply be redundant.

This is actually an entirely new texture pack but I'm far too lazy to create a new thread. Please give constructive criticism as this is a really rough beta and I need helping finding the negative aspects.
Note: Raven found a fix if it redirects you to a survey.
If it redirects you to a survey, do not bother fill it out. It's against the user agreement of Adfly and they are working on weeding them out. If you can't skip the ad (Top right corner) then also go back as it was against their user agreement.
Click back and try to redownload until it works. Thanks for understanding.
LotR Server:
I've agreed to support this server as I'm a huge LotR fan. I'll try to get on there sometime and I will be texturing some things especially for this.
Supported Mods:
These are the current supported textures for some mods. I will be working on expanding this tenfold over the course of this summer. =)
GLSL Height/Specular Maps by Engehenk:
These are the bumpmapping terrains that go along with the GLSL shaders mod (found here). Thanks to Engehenk for his impressive work.
Wildgrass:
Download: http://adf.ly/1UsPC
This is a download link that is compatible with the modloader version of wildgrass. I'm not sure if I'll ever include into the actual downloads since it is just more to download. Anyway, enjoy!
Modders thread: http://www.minecraft...p?f=25&t=100771
Wildcaves:
This is support for Dilla's wildcaves which is simply wildgrass in the version of stalagmites/stalactites growing in caves.

Alternatives:
New Biomes:
For now, all I have available is alternative biomes which cause the grass and foilage to be colored in a variety of different ways. Some such examples would be a fall/autumn coloring, a summer coloring, or a consistent green everywhere.
Download: http://adf.ly/1UsT5
Alternative Terrains:
Old stone texture from previous versions: http://adf.ly/22TsL
I will be posting additional alternative terrains as time progresses. I'll even have quite a few terrains that will almost make it a different pack altogether.
Asian Themed:
This was done by a fan, Blizzard. He did a nice job with this. Gives the pack a different taste.

Hey I am recently making a map to get people to notice me on Youtube I have been wondering if I could use this texture pack only for that map of course I would give you all the credit and others that helped so please reply soon because it would be great if I could use this texture pack also this texture pack is the best, because all the other ones sucked I tried to find I great texture pack for hours and finally found a great amazing texture pack with true detail! This is by far my favorite texture pack but ever since i downloaded minecraft 1.2.3, everything isn't working i tried readding it, redownloading it, redoing mcpatcher after doing all the other stuff, and nothing is working. not only this texture pack but any hd textures! can anyone help

I was finally able to convince my fiance, new to Minecraft, to find a texture pack. The moment he saw the screenshots of yours, he had to have it.
Congrats! He's not easy to please... HAHAHA!
My graphics card screams at the sight of trying to render that, well done!
And (most) of us understand you're very busy, don't stress yourself, take your time we can wait.
Well, in good news I decided I'll just save up for a new computer instead of constantly upgrading this antique so I can actually work on this x768 terrain without slow renders. XD
I'm glad you understand that I have a life outside of this.
I'm liking the new stone and dirt textures. The grass looks great and I noticed there are random small leaves mixed in it. I bet they would look great at 768x. About the connected glass textures, you could add some specks on it. This is Minecraft and we don't expect the windows to be 100% clean.
I guess we won't know how the x768 looks until I grab some testers. Lol
That's not a bad idea. I'll mess around with that to see if I can get anything I like. I REALLY wish that they would have implemented transparencies to the windows. =/

Sounds alright with me. Now go forth and make videos. =)

Haha, that made my day! I'm glad I have pleased your fiance. =D
Well, as I remember, the first time I upgraded to minecraft 1.2.3 and this texturepack also, optifine was missing from my minecraft. And either of them was an older version than the other. Try to put everything again: force update, put your mods again, download the texture pack again, especially keep an eye on Optifine.
For me, that was it. With the same symptoms, so I hope I could help.
Did a reinstall with just modloader, optifine 1.2.3 HD MT B and this and still I get the same results. I went into the Jungle biome and was able to punch invisible trees.
EDIT: I think I found the problem. I use the LB RPG Pack x512 also. How is that installed? By overwriting the files in the LB Photo Realism Pack or what. Scuttles, please let me know.
TESTED: It's definitely the x512 LB RPG Pack.
I'm also wondering if you could make an LB Project for Randomobs.

Well that's because RPG Realism doesn't have any 1.2.3 textures yet. It's not updated, duh. Do you even check if there's any missing textures in terrain.png?

The OP didn't say anything about it being "incomplete". It just said it was a "rough beta".

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
That should (theoretically) be enough to run it haha. I just noticed you said you didn't have any testers and I would be more than willing as I have been using your pack for nearly a year now.
This is what my Stone texture looks like, which is quite annoying. Also, I have invisible water. (possibly lava, and i dont want to find out by accident!) Whats going on?
I only have the mcpatcher and the x128 texture pack. I forced an update to Minecraft 3 different times and got the same looking stone and water every time.

WHY DID YOU QUOTE THE ENTIRE OP?
Congrats! He's not easy to please... HAHAHA!
Well, in good news I decided I'll just save up for a new computer instead of constantly upgrading this antique so I can actually work on this x768 terrain without slow renders. XD
I'm glad you understand that I have a life outside of this.
I guess we won't know how the x768 looks until I grab some testers. Lol
That's not a bad idea. I'll mess around with that to see if I can get anything I like. I REALLY wish that they would have implemented transparencies to the windows. =/
Perhaps. =)
Pm me?
I shall look into it. So far it seems almost the same. Maybe he changed the names of the images, though.
Sounds alright with me. Now go forth and make videos. =)
Haha, that made my day! I'm glad I have pleased your fiance. =D

It just said it was a "rough beta".

however, i noticed that Ocelot(Wild Cat?)'s texture is still in vanilla,
so maybe you can check that out.(i am using x128 by the way)
looking forward to the fix, still no pressure though,
just take your time, thanks a lot!
Specs:
Phenom II x4 965 @ 3.9GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
eVGA GTX 480 SC
That should (theoretically) be enough to run it haha. I just noticed you said you didn't have any testers and I would be more than willing as I have been using your pack for nearly a year now.
Anywho, you are doing a great job!

Curse PremiumI only have the mcpatcher and the x128 texture pack. I forced an update to Minecraft 3 different times and got the same looking stone and water every time.
