Hello, first off I just wanted to say how much I love your texture pack! I've always used the photo realism since you first released it.
Unfortunately in your more recent updates the added font is very hard to read and hurts my eyes. The font doesn't fully display in-game and a lot of the letters are broken up or have floating artifacts. Also the spacing in between letters is off, some words that are 3-4 characters long take up more space than words with 5 or more letters.
I tried to just go into the zip folder and delete the font folder, but I was denied and the font stayed. This is a game breaking thing as text scrolls fast on my server due to people talking, skill ups, exp gain, money gain, etc...
Is there any way you can make the font optional? I really would like to return to the default font if possible. I point many people to this texture pack to keep my server theme somewhat the same, but the font is causing quite a stir.
Thanks for your time, and keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for letting me borrow some of your textures for the mod!It's been a lot of help. I hate to ask this of you, but my editing program is poorly equipped. I was wondering if you could edit a small thing for me? Link to pic
It's a 128x set of leaves. Currently, I need it to be a bluish color. I can change a pic's color, but only if it had color to begin with. My program won't let me add color quick and simple, and it looks horrible otherwise. I hope it won't take too much out of your time, should you accept. Thanks in advance if you do, and if you don't then no worries. ^-^
Sorry if I'm repeating a question and I missed the answer, but I looked around. I'm using the newest version of LP Photo Realism 256x. Uhh it's version 7.5.0_1. Some of the things that I know have had textures don't seem to have the textures anymore and instead defaults to the, well, default ones. Specifically I saw this this Glass Panes and Sandstone.
So my question is, how do I fix that? Thanks.
Oh and also, it only applies for the placed blocks. If I'm holding the item or looking at it in my inventory it shows up correctly. So that's caused me some confusion.
Actually, I have x64, with 4G Ram and triple core processor, 3.2Ghz. :biggrin.gif:
And another question: How do I use that "batch" file ? :biggrin.gif:
Ah, I have that one.
Quick tutorial for it::
make a new text file and name it whatever. This doesn't matter.
Then copy and paste this:
@ECHO OFF
javaw -Xms6g -jar "C:\Users\Dakota T'Alon\Desktop\Minecraft.exe"
Make sure you have a 64bit version of java! Go download it if you don't. You can find it by googling Java and going to the Sun website (or something similar)
replace the -Xms6g with a much smaller amount. If you have 4GB of RAM, set it to 2. Never set it to the amount you have, it'll crash your computer. To check how much ram you have, click start, right click computer, and click properties. It'll tell you a few things about your comp, including how much RAM you have. Always set it to at most, 1GB below your max. Like I said though, it'd be best if you're only using half.
Then replace the "C:\Users\Dakota T'Alon\Desktop\Minecraft.exe" with wherever you have you minecraft.exe file. If you don't know the exact location (though it's easiest to just leave it on the desktop), right click the .exe file and copy the location, then add Minecraft.exe to the end. It MUST have the quotes at the beginning and end.
Then make sure you can see file extensions. Click start and search for folder options, then open that. Click the view tab and scroll until you find "Hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck it.
Then go back to the text file and save it. Go back to the desktop, or wherever you saved it, and rename the file to [yourfile].bat and open it. It should open a command box and then open minecraft. Viola! You have now upgraded Minecraft's memory! Enjoy!

Like the Makator said, get 64bit java if you don't have one. I prefer using this bat file, it's little more simple.
@echo off
java -Xincgc -Xmx2556M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
exit
Make sure you name the file like namehere.bat and choose save as "all files" Then put the bat file in the same place as the launcher. Feel free to lower the RAM to 1536M.
They are little too high of resolution, but they will look fine downscaled. I figured if Minecraft will ever work with 1024x1024, I'm ready for it.
Cool, we are getting new tree textures? The pine one, are you sure it's a pine tree? The pine trees in my backyard doesn't look anything like that unless you remove all the bark. The others look good even though I have no idea what the jungle trees look like. To the google!

Indeed. ^^
Source image of that pine tree. (Unfortunately, Imgur has to shrink it for some reason) http://i.imgur.com/KrFGe.jpg
It is an odd pine tree, but that's why I like it. :wink.gif:
I plan on transitioning the pack slowly into a x512 in addition to the possibility of going 1024x1024 when/if that is possible.

You might want to fix the source image. It's a picture of a birch tree. 1024x might be possible in couple years. DRR4 RAM might be coming out in 2014. The new CPU that supports DRR4 might be twice as fast as Sandy Bridge. We already have powerful GPU with 3GB VRAM. Or MC may will never run it because java sucks. 768x is more possible. Do you know most of the BF3 textures are at 8192x.

Well, BF3 is taking that texture and stretching it over a massive surface as oppose to Minecraft having it on a 1 meter by 1 meter block. One of the downfalls of using such huge textures is that the anti-aliasing and other filters require larger amounts of processing power. Additionally, BF3 only has a few textures of that resolution. Many of them are rather small (512x to 2048 small, lol) for many of the smaller objects.
I'm sure if we compare the pixels of a 10 meter in-game surface for both games. I'd have to say the x512 would either have more or equal pixels to BF3.

...There I go rambling... /lecture
Well, in that case 512x-768x is the best resolution. I doubt MC can handle 1024x considering I get 1-2fps with it
(Back in 1.7.3, I upscaled your terrain.png). Maybe somebody who is pro at java and MC modding would shred some light on MC's true limits.

Indeed. 1024x brings your comp to its knees. I just think Java is reaching it's limits having to render that much where as an engine designed for gaming would have no problem.
Oh, and I fixed that source image. I'm not sure why it didn't copy the right url.

That pine tree doesn't look that natural. It looks like it was stripped to bare by animals or people. My GPU only have 1GB VRAM, maybe somebody with 2GB or more VRAM will able to run 1024x better than me.

We have hundreds of them around here. It's a little odd, but they just shed little slivers from their bark for some reason. I can get a more recognizable pine later this weekend when I'm back out in the country. :wink.gif:
I'm still waiting for a compatible update on the shaders mod for my computers. It's one of those moments that going ATI/AMD was not the best course.

Pine trees with bark layer is more common here in US. I really do like the current LB Photo Realism pine tree texture.
I don't think Phantomgamers is going to like this comment. I do keeping hearing the problems with the AMD drivers. However AMD does have a lead in GPU department. HD 7970 is the currently the single fastest GPU out there and it overclocks very well. Plus it has display port 1.2 which can support 4K resolution monitors. I hope Kelper can complete with 7970. I do wish MC can use SLI. I'm sick of tired seeing GPU2 at 99% usage at the most of the time while GPU1 remains at 0%. Sonic's shaders is really GPU intensive.

On a side note: Are you planning to add chain-mail armor textures?

Thank you. Have you looked into Optifine to see if you can squeeze a bit more FPS out of it?
