I'm working on getting the RPG pack out really soon. I wanted today until I got wrapped up in Java homework and 3 hours of frustration trying to get the HD font to play nice, lol
Compressed versions will most likely come right after 1.2 comes out which should be pretty soon.
Alright, sounds great! :biggrin.gif:
I just downloaded the shaders and they are amazing. Thanks for that tip.
I am having the same issue with the new font in the latest release. My apologies in advance if I missed a post or comment that shows how to correct this issue. Here are examples:
This is the x256 TP.
No other complaints though. I LOVE this TP! Been using it since I started playing MC :smile.gif:
Edit: I even tried patching it twice with the latest version of MCPathcer.
Try this. I worked on toying with it for several hours of frustration. Extract the files and then open up the .zip of the texture pack with winzip, winrar, etc. Place these files INSIDE the font folder inside the texture pack .zip.
Scuttles, we had a short conversation concerning the 'new' ugly swamps a while back, remember? That your texture pack changed them into a sepia-colored horror show. I just found out how to use the custom colors feature that was first implemented in the MCPatcher and now works with Optifine as well to remedy the swamps. Ok, I looked at Misas texture pack how it was done, but since there's no guide anywhere on how to do it, I thought I'd fill you in on my findings:
I created a 'swampfoliagecolor.png' and a 'swampgrasscolor.png' (not quite sure which purpose the different files serve) in the misc folder of your texture pack. I used the 'grasscolor.png' as a template, only increasing saturation of the colors a little. That gave the swamps almost exactly the look they had in Beta 1.8 when they were first introduced with a lush, rich green color. I liked it a lot.
But since some people like the swamps better with the new dark colors, it's now up to you to decide which color you want them to have in your texture pack :tongue.gif:
NICE! I'll look into fiddling with that. I want to reserve the lush green for the rainforest biome that is coming so I think I'll do the swamps a more passive or maybe even dark green (Obviously no as dark as it is now, lol)

Alright those HD font fixes have been added to the downloads so that really makes me feel a lot better. I will be sure to have it perfect by the 1.2 release whenever that is suppose to hit.
Unfortunately, out of pure frustration with Java programming and that font ordeal, work on the x512 was setback. I can never win. >.<
looks good but something seems to be wrong with the text/font in the 32x
-snip-
Oh wow!!! I never meant to have an HD font in the x32 yet. =(
I'll remove that for the time being. You can delete the font folder directly from the .zip if you want to.
edit:
Removed that from the pack and the download should now be right and proper. I really botched the font in this update. Damn HD patcher royally screwed me up. >.<
I don't understand. I have installed the texture pack and it works fine and all. But is everything supped to look so "grainy" from a distance? It looks a lot worse when you move around too. It only seems to be like this in HD texture packs.

Appreciate all of your hard work, sorry you're having so much trouble with the fonts. Unfortunately I am still having the issue, but only with lowercase L's and I's. I made sure I had the latest 128 pack, and even tried copying in the manual font file you uploaded earlier, but no luck. Everything is fine with the fonts in 256 for me, but not 128.
Either way, donation on the way for you. Thanks again for all of your hard work.
font works perfectly now UPDATE: spacing occasionally screws up. not extremely common, so i cant really post a picture at the moment.
OTHERWISE...it really fits the pack's scheme, nice job. hey, i was wondering how you made this. i'd like to make my own pack and i would like to know if there is a mac-compatible editing application or something, of course for an HD pack. what would you suggest?
I'm running into a ton of issues with the x512 pack at this point. I think I need more RAM, unfortunately. Photoshop is taking well over 2.7GB of my memory at times and I'm no where near done with the terrain. =(
So, I'm going to continue working with a very slow PS until I blue screen or melt my computer, lol.
Well, in better news the snow is melting so it's about time to get some new pictures for textures!

's to you!
I'm working on getting that font perfect for all resolutions. I just gave up halfway after nearly 4 hours of frustration and updated the packs which the fonts were completely messed up.
I have been watching that one for a bit. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to create a pack that big because I could even test the textures in-game. =(

Quite welcome and I'm aware of the issues with the L's and I's. I've fixed quite a few of the similar letters so the next update should look much better.

Try installing the optifine mod. They mipmapping setting will really eliminate that grain.

No problem. I'm still waiting on the water shader mod to be compatible with it.

They aren't perfect, but at least I've figured out the reason as to why everything was so broken.
Awesome. :wink.gif:

I appreciate your hard work and dedication to this TP. That seemed to have fixed it. :wink.gif:
I'm uploading it right now. I'll let you know when they are up.
Good to hear and thank you. =)

In the same place where the launcher jar or exe is.
Hey Scuttles, there's one dude making realism pack at 700x700.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/986001-700x700-ultra-realism-its-unbelievable/
Can you imagine that? Let's see what fps I get on 700x with Sonic's unbelievable shaders. I already get 44-50fps on 256x.
