I'll get it fixed once I can actually test it in game to get a real look at whats going on...already put off a few of my things until then... like my ore...still trying to work out how to embed them into the stone...
Ok, Go to your bed image, CTRL+A, Copy, Open up a terrain.png, Ctrl+Paste, Move to bed spot, scale if needed, to the perfect spot, then save, open minecraft.jar, put terrain.png in, start minecraft, enjoy. That takes me two minutes... A minute too long
I know how to edit the png..... I'm saying I cant test it in game.... I would have noticed it if I could...didnt update the png on imgur..wont until I can play test the new stuff..
edit..i did the update this morning... xai's patcher wouldnt work...and havent been able to log back in since... had to do a fresh install after one of the mods that is supposedly compatible crashed mel...my own fault for not backing up before patching

A good way to give the "embed" feeling to an ore is burning the stone behind it slightly and then adding a dodge effect to the opposite end of the stone.
Another technique is taking a soft eraser to the edges of the minerals themselves. Keep in mind it has to be a very subtle eraser.
These are Photoshop terms because that's all that I know. =\
Oh, and make sure to keep backups before toying around. I've had to back pedal far too much because of mistakes.

Edit:
Why isn't your game working?
I already made like 5 backups, 1.2_02, 1.2_01, Alpha 1.2.6, 1.3, And then one more backup @ 1.3
Oh and Grugs, I dont use plugins ;P
You guys are creating all sorts of a ruckus on my thread. XD
I really don't mind, I just thought I had hundreds of people asking for help that I needed to answer.

thank you!
and you are so right! I've just had to blow away a map chunk and recreate it cos of updates. No worries though. not a bit of work lost, just.. displaced elsewhere in my map lol. If someone finds a chunk of a building stuck in a cave somewhere.. well that'll be their prize cos.. I don't know where it went but I found part of my harbor out in the ocean lol.
they're for the best though.. we have to take it in stride. It's a labor of love right? RIGHT?? lol.
Lol, that'd be a sight to see. Just wandering around the wilderness... What's this? Who put half a building in this mountain, lol
Could be creepy too. =\
Right... Labor of love... I can almost see it, but then another update comes. >.>
Oh and your city is looking amazing! I'd like to see it from a better angle and not night time. XD

here's the bed and icon I worked up today...since minecraft wont work for me >.> the bed is kinda what I was suggesting for you...kinda..general idea..I know you would do a much better job on it :tongue.gif:
That's quite a nice bed texture. ^^
I've been studying and laying about today, but I may be able to refine and touch it up for you. I hate mid-semester exams, they scare the **** out of me.

Crud. I tried doing the 256... Minecraft simply won't start. I'm blown away by the pictures.. But it doesn't get past the Mojang specifications screen. It just crashes. Ah well, gonna try 128 instead.
Edit: 128 doesn't work either. Darn.
Computer specs?
It also could be potentially a java issue and what methods did you use to install the pack?

Ok, So dont use my signature for lb photo realism, use Scuttles..
Lol, the cake made me laugh, though. =D
But yes, go forth my wandering billboards!
I used MCpatcher to install the pack after putting the zip in the thing. Tried it without the animated stuff, just the HD fixes for compass and such, and it still crashes. Ah well. System specs:AMD sempron 145 processor 2.79 GHz, 1.75 GB of ram, ATI radeon HD 4200 graphics card. Just ran a java update.

Hmmmm... Have you treid a manual install of the game? What I mean by that is instead of selecting the pack with MCpatcher, just directly place the unzipped pack into the .jar in the bin folder of Minecraft.
That has solved problems with things like that before. You also seem a bit short on ram, and your graphics card isn't really up to bar, but it should be fine with a game like this.

Graphics card dont matter on minecraft unless your going to do GLSL shaders :sad.gif:
Anyways, Ram is a bit short for these textures, maybe your processor, but yeah, try it, And keep us posted.

there is an opengl for ati cards that is an invidia patch for them...yes it sounds retarded...but it works..dont have the install files for it but installed it for another game to work about 6 months ago and it worked like a charm.. just google it...thats how I found it
I just downloaded the latest version and I'm getting the default water... I'm sure the water animations were checked in MC patcher.
And help would be nice, thank you.
