I honestly don't see why this is so immensely popular, there are tiling problems and the atmosphere of all of the textures don't fit right together =/
There are plenty of better realistic texture packs out there, I am not sure why this one is so big, sorry =(
I'm not surprised. You seem to like cartoony textures according to your sig. This one is so big because it is the best realistic texture pack. If you think there's better one, please tell me. I'm curious how it is possible to make better realistic pack than this one.
Ah, I was wondering where you had disappeared to :wink.gif:
Another update sounds great, and might I suggest adding the GUI and the pack.png of LB to the new RPG version? That would stop people from complaining that it's 'greyed out' or that it doesn't work at all, when all they would have to do was load a game :tongue.gif:
I may do that. I intend to have the RPG updated along with the Photo Realism tomorrow, but we'll see how depending on how long wrapping presents takes.

I'm not sure why you are apologizing. To each their own.
I've studied art for 6 years and graphic design for 3 years. Every single texture in the terrain.png is seamlessly tiled. I'm not sure as to why you believe there is tiling issues to the point where this pack is not as good as other realistic packs.
Additionally, each texture is picked to coincide with the next texture. Technically, there is no atmosphere. This is an attempt at realism, not an attempt to build the atmosphere of horror or of a cartoon feel.
Hi. Im a fan of your texture pack. I downloaded it yesterday and it works nice. The only problem is that some of the items look the same.
Heres a screen shot http://tinyurl.com/7chc2z4
Is it supposed to be that way? If not any solutions? Sorry if I missed any important directions but i cant seem to fix it.
Yes and no. The RPG pack isn't quite finished so things such as the items have not been touched yet. So, for now, it looks like that. =(
Did you patch the jar using MCPatcher? Your little mac might run 256x if your CPU and GPU is powerful enough. I doubt it since you have a small macbook.
The latest update was amazing, keep it up!! :biggrin.gif: So all is left to do is... The enchanted book, exp orb, HD Font *OPTIONAL*, Change Mojang start screen *OPTIONAL* and... that is about it, there are probably more things to do, but still, keep it up, this is wonderful :biggrin.gif:
Hoorah!
Sadly, I like my swamps to look different to the rest of my world, whilst this seems to just make it look the same. Something like higher intensity green and maybe a touch of blue or something (God, I've got to experiment with colour channels more often, I have no idea what that would do to the green but I from my experiments adding purely green tends to make it lighter too, which I don't want, and red started to take it towards yellow) to give it a different look, but still maintaining a nice look to it. Damn I wish I knew how to mod...
And awesome work Skuttles, from the sounds of things you've got a ton of time to work on textures now, I don't think Jeb will be updating for a while for some reason. If I manage to fix the artifact (I think thats what they are) issues on the clouds caused by the world curvature shader, I might take a screenshot and upload it. This mod goes brilliantly with world curvature, godrays, bloom and DoF (DoF is amazing in the rain with this mod, but with some others it looks crap).

Crap, oops, sorry for double-post XD :dry.gif: accidentally replied to the thing I typed which had not yet been posted..

All the colors are hard-coded into the game and if you wanted it to be changed, someone would have to make a mod that you would have to install with the texture
So your pack has been my favorite to use since the first day I installed it. On a whim, I decided to try my hand at making my own texture pack. Wow. I'm probably 30 hours in and I'm not even halfway done. I didn't realize how much work really goes into making a nice HD pack. I just wanted to say I humbly bow to your graphical mastery now that I've gotten a taste of the work that goes into these things.
Thank you for making Minecraft an even more beautiful place to visit. :smile.gif:
Book floating above the enchantment table (can be edited with a book.png in the item folder)
EXP-Orbs (can be edited with a xporb.png in the item folder)
Achievement screen GUI (can be edited with a bg.png in a folder called achievement)
Mojang Screen (can be edited with a mojang.png in a folder called title)
Title screen logo (can be edited with a mclogo.png in the title folder)
Title screen background panorama (there's a mod that can do that for you: PanoramaKit)
Just to have it complete again :wink.gif:
Btw, I don't think an HD Font is optional. I know it's a lot of work, but having an HD Texture Pack with the vanilla font just doesn't look right :tongue.gif:
Haha yeah, true about the font, and I would do an updated list for you, but I don't have time to look WAY deep into the details like that, so that is your job as of now :tongue.gif:
Sorry I sound like a noob but do I need the hd patcher for your origianl one? I downloaded the 256 one and I know you posted another pack under that so just wondering if only your second one needs the hdpatcher. Like I said I am a total noob at this and this is my first texture pack download.

You only need to use hd patcher once on your jarfile, and then you can choose any texture pack (hd or regular) from the texture packs menu in Minecraft. If you update your jar, you need to re-patch.

Everytime you get the fresh jar from force updating or when MC updates.

That's what I said Hoorah about. Now, if that mod had the option to edit colour channels so that the grass wouldn't look the same as the normal grass, but not as ugly as the normal swam grass, I'd be happy.

The link is in the OP. Please Read. They are both different styles. LB Photo is updated to 1.0.0.
Tell me about it. XD
So many things still left to do in the name of Sithis.

1:AMAZING texture pack! you've got
2:screw the unions! they are destroying America!
The update for the RPG pack will come within the next few days. Time to blow the dust off some of those ancient files.
updating now :smile.gif: and if it possible that new terrain for bump mapping glsl 2.0?
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Those are my system specs. Do you think that that isn't good enough to run it? (I seriously have no idea if it is or not.)
You have integrated graphics card. It's not good enough to run 128x or higher. You can try. Your CPU and RAM is good enough.

After a quick readup, even better. Texture pack Authors are able to edit the colour of things like the Swamp Biome, lighting and more.
Skuttles, your wish (and many others) of the swamp grass colour being in your hands has come true. No more ugly swamps <3
