The GLSL shaders is finally back! Plus it will be compatible with optifine. I brought out a texture pack from 1.7.3 with terrain_nh and terrain_s.png. I'm using bump-mapping and bloom shaders. I got couple sweet pictures.
For anyone interested, the reason Rotten Flesh hasn't been updated is because I'm the one helping Scuttles with items.png and I haven't been able to properly make a rotten flesh texture, much like spider eyes. If anyone wants to help me, shoot me a PM

scuttles,
Im sorry to hear about your uncle, and I am eagerly awaiting an update for full 1.0.0 and the new GLSL shaders which is now out.
When you get time to update the pack, could you also update the GLSL shaders (the ones currently available dont work for me, so i assume they arent compatible with shaders 2.0) and make a step by step tutorial on how to install your GLSL shaders? Without a specific tutorial, i found it very difficult to get it to install (you have the links provided, but didnt really say how to use them).

Chests are displayed with the default texture and I can't find where is the problem.
Here's a screen:

I use Optifine for HD texture support.
With 256x version all works fine (I prefer 128x because i'm using a laptop and I get 60 fps with 256x Texture packs).
Thanks in advance.
i get this too and i use mcpatcher; happens with 128 but not 256. i prefer 128 because my computer isnt all that good and 256 lags a lot. not really too much of an issue though, but hopefully itll be fixed with the 1.0.0 update
Take your time man, real life (especially that) comes before anything minecraft or internet related. Hope you are alright and keep up the good work, its amazing.
My condolences :sad.gif: Take your time with the update, at the end of the day it's just pixels on a screen, which doesn't compare to your family in the slightest.
Thanks for checking in Scuttles, and I wish to send my Condolences as well.
I'll be looking forward to the release of the Full 1.0.0 Update, clicking refresh most frequently you can imagine.
But seriously, like they said, take all the time you need buddy. Things like that always come before computer related stuffz.
I really appreciate it you guys. It's good to know I have fans that care instead of just exploiting me for textures. XD
He's in a better place now. Right next to his son.
I'm sorry buddy! :/
Take some time to just sort through the emotions. That's what I had to do.
I wanted to see what you think of the textures I've made for the 1.0.0 terrain for my Synthetic, when you have a minute.

It's been hell this weekend for sure. =(
To be honest, it's the first major death in the family that has been close to me. I just don't know how to cope with it.
The textures are looking brilliant. The one critique I would make is the Ender Portal side texture seems a bit strange where the teal meets the stone. Perhaps adding in a more faded shadow or edge with possibly a burn filter will really make it look grand. :wink.gif:
Oh, and what is the texture in the top left? I still haven't figured it out so I just added holes to my cobblestone, lol

Those are quite phenomenal!
I'll see if my original GLSL shaders guy wants to continue his work. If anyone has experience with working on those, I'd gladly accept help.

This was something I overlooked a while back. I forgot to add the textures for the lower resolutions, lol
sorry if this has been answered before or it sounds like a stupid question but how do you get the shaders to work?I've downloaded the shaders mod the terrain and the shaders file from the first page and put the shaders into the shaders folder into my minecraft shaders folder in the minecraft jar then patched it with mc patcher and the textures look the same as they did before. Obviously i'm doing something wrong. Can someone help please. Thanks in advance.
I'm sorry about your uncle. My uncle, which is my dad's younger brother unfortunately died from the cancer last October. You'll make it fine. Death is part of the life.
On the topic, I tried to run 512x with bump-mapping, but I get like 0-1fps even with Optifine. Back in 1.7.3, I get like 50fps. I don't know why 512x with bumpmap runs terrible, however 256x runs silky smooth. I don't think it's worth making bump-mapping for 512x unless someone else can run it fine.
That's the pedestal from which the potion brewing stand protrudes:

Oh, and for the previously discussed problem with the ugly swamp colors, take a look at my signature (can't believe it took me so long to find THAT thread :tongue.gif:)
Oh wow! I didn't do too bad for guessing. XD
I certainly signed that petition as soon as I read your post. They just look awful now and represent NOTHING that a real swamp does.

Unfortunately, I'm terrible with working on getting the shaders to work myself. I really should learn one day to help people.

It's exhausting physically and mentally.
That is quite strange. Has there been any major modifications to the new 1.0 shaders mod that would consume more memory/make it run slower? Supposedly the 1.0 Minecraft was highly efficient compared to it's beta/alpha predecessors.
I can't imagine Notch would ever let us down. :dry.gif:
Anyway, I'll look into it and I will begin some compression methods soon after this release to see if that helps improve performance significantly or not.
Here's your answer iSimilaXi.
