Love this texture pack , i mean LB Photorealism i got so used to it that cant play without. I wish we could have reflexive water for 1.0 that would be perfect.

Somehow, the lb photorealism texture is too grainy recently and i really don't think this is how it should look. Any ideas?
I think the resolution on your computer is too low, yes it does look really grainy, it comes with a high res. texture and you have to get used to it, but you are right, that is really, really grainy :/ Pretty sure it's just the res. or your comp. screen, hope this helps :wink.gif: as you can see, your res. is pretty low and it is 854x480. I use a tv for my monitor and can't use anything above 1360x768 or else a box is put around text and everything gets all flickery :tongue.gif: Things look grainy with this texture, just not THAT grainy :laugh.gif:
Actually i took the picture with minecraft minimized, so my laptop's resolution is 1366 x 768. And i know it looks really grainy. But still, there must be smth i can do.. with the 128x indeed it looks better, but still grainy.. >.< I don't use optifine, but i will try too, it's just bad that most thing don't work fine with opti.
I definitely know what you mean - texture looks great up close, is terrible at a distance. This is largely due to a lack of mipmapping (which optifine provides), and somewhat due to a lack of fullscreen antialiasing (which can help smooth this out as well, but not as efficiently as mipmapping). Optifine's most recent version provides AA as well.
I've been a long time user of the Photo Realism pack (x256), and recently have decided to try out the GLSL add-on linked in the OP. Would it be safe to say that the terrain_nh/_s both need to be updated to minecraft's current terrain.png layout due to the addition of new textures/items or not? Has this been done? Neither is working for me, and I realize at this point that it could be one of a thousand things wrong, but I'm positive I installed correctly... the actual shaders have their own problems, but I'd like to sort out the bumpmapping/speculars first.
I'll apologize for the lack of update that I really had planned on releasing quite a while ago.
My uncle has passed away very recently and ambition, in general, has come to a screeching halt. I intend on attempting to get an update out today because I have funeral services tomorrow and Sunday.

Scuttles, this seems like an awesome texture pack (I do not know if it is better than my current one yet, but I will when (or if) you update it to 1.0.0). But anyways, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your uncle, real life should come before internet life, take your time.

I wanted to see what you think of the textures I've made for the 1.0.0 terrain for my Synthetic, when you have a minute.

Curse PremiumIf you're using Optifine for HD textures, try setting the mipmap level to something like 1 or 2. I found that that helped me a lot.

If you use OptiFine, putting mipmapping on max and set to linear fixes this...especially on x256...
