Still looks like this in 1.0. Well, if it really is hardcoded (I don't think it will be 'fixed' because MOJANG actually thinks of this color as an improvement over the lush green swamps of 1.8 :dry.gif: ), does anyone know a mod to change the color of swamps? I looked for one, no luck :sad.gif:

Okay, so I know people have been saying this is already updated to 1.0.0 but I wanted to point out to the creator that a few textures seem to be missing. I dunno if it's because he hasn't actually gotten to it yet and people just assume he has or it's because they got missed/futzed, but I'll list what I've noticed.
-Dragon Egg doesn't appear at all. I've tried both by going to The End and looking on top of the little shrine spawned when you kill the Enderdragon and through inventory editing mods/software. Specifically INVedit, Too Many Items, and more recently through Server /give and/item commands.
-Glistering Melon doesn't appear at all. Tried both through creation and editors.
-Regular Potions (the ones that look just like glass bottles) have no color and appear to have no liquid inside of them at all. They also have weird gray dots on the right edge in the inventory.
-Splash Potions appear exactly like they do in the Default texture pack in the inventory, but when holding them they disappear.
-Eye of Ender has strange cyan dots all around it at random. (Inventory)
I hope this has been helpful feedback, everything else in your texture pack is completely wonderful.
And one last thing (please don't kill me) is that I was wondering if you were planning on continuing your RPG pack. Just curious more than anything else.
I'm still working on those. I had a series of tests and projects due over the past two weeks so I've been focusing more on college than this. Sorry. =(
I do need to fix those graphical errors. Thanks for stating them.
I will continue with the RPG pack fairly soon. With winter break coming up, I expect to have quite a bit of free time for it. ^^

About the swamp grass color, it is a feature that was added to 1.9 pre release 1 that almost made me gag when I looked at it XD I have gotten more used to it, but it is very annoying how, if you want to for some reason, you want to use fast settings, it is VERY VERY VERY dark green/black color on top, but bright green on the sides. I am sure it is possible to fix if you change the biome grass color thing. I am not sure how you would do this though, or if it is even possible, because I have no experience with making texture packs. :tongue.gif:

Gimp isn't *that* unusable - I'm working on a photorealism adaptation for IndustrialCraft (with permissions) using nothing but Gimp (although I have Photoshop sitting in the backseat in case I absolutely need to do something I can't figure out how to do in Gimp). It's going fairly well, most of the time is being spent just learning/practicing platform-agnostic techniques, not gimp or photoshop specific idioms.

I am considering getting an ACTUAL MONITOR for a computer, but I am not really sure what I should get... I will do my research on NewEgg.com or maybe some other websites. I just want to get the full gaming experience from my computer :happy.gif: Thanks for any suggestions or possible answers to my problem, and why it is happening.

Photoshop does have some free trials that you may want to look into. It's like a 30-day trial so you could get many things done in that time.
As of right now, I've put mod additions on the back burner until I can find time to finish the main pack.
Ok I'm sorry if this is taken as bitching but I'm just gonna try to offer some constructive criticism here. I'm not sure about a lot of other people but on the 256x texture pack I personally feel as if the weapons are too skinny. Again just my personal preference, so please feel free to disregard this but at least think about it. If anyone else likes this idea please speak up.
EDIT: Please disregard this statement! After some comparing and other things I actual like how big the weapons are, its just how they look in your inv that makes them skinny.

Yea, I've had a few comments about the size of the swords. I may thicken the iron/gold, but they really do like fine in-game compared to the menu appearances. =)
Fortunely you dont had to cuz the foliagecolor.png and the grasscolor.png only chnage slightly the tone of the swamp grass but the dark color will be still there.
Only a Mod could change it nothing other.

The swamp biome is going to be my focus tonight as well as making the final touches on the enderblock/portal.
You're quite welcome and I hope you don't mind me using some of your textures such as the doors which, frankly, are very well done. I'll try and get around to posting specifically what each of the artists such as yourself play as a role in this texture pack.
As for what I've done, this mostly includes the all of the minerals and stones, grass, all of the trees, the hd cracking pattern. I'll probably post a changelog as things progress.
Good eye! I'll fix that some time today. I'm pretty busy with college.
I realize that they are quite dark textures and after extensive amounts of trial and error, it seemed to just work. The books were borrowed from another pack and I can't remember which one. If some does know, please inform me as I can't find it on my laptop anymore.
Feels good to be part of the collection and I hope to impress more people with the coming days.

Looks great. The gravel is usually my least favorite part of most packs. This looks pretty good however.
