I can not stress enough, GET THE NEW MCPATCHER! Many odd things happen when you use the outdated ones. If you have the latest version, try re-downloading it. Again, this only happened to me when I had the outdated one, so I do not know what to do other than re-patching with the latest version of the mcpatcher.
Yea, Skyrim is absolutely fantastic so far. I love RPG games almost too much.
I will not let you down. ^^
I cannot believe how good Skyrim is. I've dropped basically everything else just to play, especially since in a week I'm flying to visit family and won't have a gaming machine available. Makes me so sad :sad.gif: Looking forward to the updated packs!
One thing: Are you going to change the chest texture from default?
There is a chest texture, if something doesn't work right, just redownload and patch with the latest patcher. it also might have something to do with you using a lower res pack for Photo Realism, I have heard they aren't updated completely, but I would imagine that they are up to that point. 256x is the most updated of the packs.
yes.. people with there problems with not trying again before they fill the forum thread up with "This is default" "This is white boxes" "This looks weird and is bugging me" ect... :biggrin.gif:
Hello all, first time posting here, though I've been following this thread for some time. :smile.gif:
First off, I absolutely LOVE this texture pack, and I'm so happy it's finally compatible with 1.8! I installed it and have been running it for awhile, but I found one problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. It looks like the alpha information in the plant textures isn't being applied properly by the engine, it's loaded, but then there's a line around every one's edges that is set to the sky color, and the bottom side of the block doesn't seem to render at all. Screenshot:
And before anyone asks:
I am using the newest MCPatcher
I am using the newest version of the pack
I'm running Minecraft v. 1.8.1
System Specs:
ATI Radeon HD 4870 w/ 1 GB GDDR5
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.2 GHz
8 GB DDR2 RAM
I hope someone can help me fix this, I really want to use this pack. :biggrin.gif:

Hmm... That's a tough one... And thank you for the extra information below that picture! :biggrin.gif: Umm... honestly... I do not know... Aww, it stinks I can't use a higher resolution on my monitor... Because it is a tv screen and when I set it any higher than it is... it just makes writing look really weird, and it makes the screen flicker. :dry.gif: Ok, well, maybe try re downloading the pack? Make sure you aren't getting the compressed version which I do not thing the problem is... Maybe it is that you are patching it with "Better Grass" I don't think that is your issue either, but just try playing around with things like that :happy.gif: Sorry If this didn't help :/

Oh also, my watermelon plant is at the default. I really don't care, as I only have a single plant on my entire map, but yeah, if that could be fixed it would be sweet.
AHA! Got it. I don't know what was wrong, but I wiped out my .minecraft folder except the screenshots, texture packs, and stats and then had minecraft re-download everything, then ran the MCPatcher again and everything seems to be working now. :smile.gif:
That said, I am noticing that my food bar, experience bar, and the watermelon plant are still not working? Totally bearable, just odd, and if someone could point me where to find a fix I'd be greatful. :smile.gif:
do you have any mods installed? If not then I would recommend using optifine instead of the MCpatcher.even if it doesnt fix your bug it will give you a nice fps boost.

Accidentally 'Force Updated' my minecraft.jar, When I did I re-patched it.
Now I'm receiving a glitch(?).
Anyone know what causes this and if there's a fix?

I had that for awhile, but it and Misa's texture pack didn't like each other, so I switched to MCP. That was of course before this one was working with it. :biggrin.gif:
And anyway my comp churns out a steady 75 fps, so I'm not wanting. No need to try and fix what isn't broken.
So apparently RC2 is less laggy :smile.gif: I tried out the 128x version of this, and I STILL lag to much... The 64x one looks really good to though :biggrin.gif: Hopefully Optifine + RC2 = amazing fps. I looked in the terrain.png, and the chests have different textures. How come they're default in-game? Is it cuz I'm in RC2?

just a quick question. is this RC2 compatible? if IT IS then u might wanna take a look at the 128x128 (not LB RPG, but the standard) cause the chest still has default texture on it
nono wait i mean a texture addon for the industrialcraft mod
I believe the general rule of thumb for texturing for Mods is Skuttles won't do it unless the mod only affects graphics - like the wild caves or W/E mod that added stalactites and such - and even then it will come after the main pack is completed.
Meanwhile, I go check to see whether the HD patcher is updated...

Latest version, using the 256. I tried the 128 as well, but that turned all my chests back to the default.

Now back to being cool.....
If you could tell me how to create these kinds of textures I would absolutely love it.
I've been wanting to do something like this forever.

Im getting this 'error' on all texture packs I attempt to use, Besides Default.
Nope, distributing minecraft jar files is illegal.
