Only things you might have a problem with are CPU and RAM.
For 1, use the .bat file.
For 2, Make sure MC is allocated at least 1Gb RAM, though that is possibly too little. To make sure it has this RAM allocated to it, open it up, load up a world, then press F3. The numbers in the top right hand corner along the lines of 'xMB/yMB' (For me 1800Mb/5966MB) will tell you how much RAM MC is using (Former) and how much it has allocated to it (Latter).
To allocate more RAM, use the instructions on the first page, or find someone who has posted how to make a .bat file to do this, or go to page 378 (I think) and try the link on one of the posts there to get the MClauncher that will allow you to choose how much RAM to allocate to MC on startup. Note, I am getting a 'You don't have permission' Error trying to access the last one, so you might not be able to get there.
Ty for your replay i tried .bat file i have changed it from 2gig to 1 gig and opened it here it's my f3 pic:
I sayed that I dont mean you. Your asked for news the others says: UPDATE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, PLS UPDATE FOR 1.128981789129
You understand :smile.gif:
lol, yes I understand, I was purposely over exaggerating the issue. XD Didn't think I would get another reply, but thanks for clearing things up :tongue.gif:
Oh, lol, the texture is either outdated or you might need to patch again XD
Patched it multiple times. I even started with a fresh 1.9.5 minecraft.jar and still come up with the same problem of 64x 128x 256x not rendering the Stone Bricks.
Edit: Was using the compressed version. Tried the other version of 256x and it renders the Stone Bricks properly.
still getting memory error with 512 texture pack but it's ok with 128
I'm somewhat confused about the '50% allocated' part there, mine is always 100%. IDK why its doing that. Is it by any chance crashing at sunrise or sunset? Or when looking out over a large area? I notice it is using merely 256Mb when in a cave, but it will be using far more when in the open.
Also, allocate the 2Gb to it. The more you allocate to it the less it should have out of memory errors.

you know? it's 128x TP i wan't able to load up the world with 512x TP every time i click on the 512 TP in texturepack menu i get out of memory error but it's ok with 128x it's fast and don't have any problem.
Hey Scuttles, I just wanted to ask your permission for using your textures. I want to upgrade the Redpower 2 tools to be HD, and I wanted to know if it was all right to use your tools and just recolor them. Appreciate the texture pack, I can't bring myself to play MC without it!

Ahhh. Well, the 128 uses a lot less RAM then the 512, and it is quite possible that there is not enough memory to run it. If Java has full RAM allocated to it, and you are using the .bat on the OP, I'm not sure there is anything else you can do to get it working, other than maybe using Optifine instead of the HDPatcher and getting more RAM sorry.
Any news onm the update what was mentioned for sunday gone? A few pages back.
My sincerest apologies for that. I had quite a few things sneak up on me and slow/stopped all progress. I am back to working on it and I would have to say next Sunday at the latest.
I may be able to get it out tonight, depending on how well the final textures work out. :wink.gif:
It's mostly finished, I just need some final touches.
I rather like the background, but the text is a bit hard to read. =)
I'll have to try out the pack.
Nice to hear from you drfozenfire. ^^

I've been really busy too, trust me. I can't wait to see your update but you should throw some feedback on the fear thread. :smile.gif:

AWESOME! :biggrin.gif: I am very excited to see the new, and updated pack! I really enjoy this texturepack, and I have also tried 512x RPG out, it is awesome as well, especially the stone and cobblestone :biggrin.gif: It would be great if the Photo Realism cobble could have slightly more contrast or something, or make the stone just look a bit different from the cobble so it is easier to tell them apart. They both still look great, I just have noticed they are hard to tell apart. Again, great pack, and I am excited to see the next update.
Can someone send me an idiot's guide to installing these texture packs? I've tried many time to get it to work using that patcher program, and the packages never show up.
EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot and derp'd by putting extracted folders into the texture folder instead of the zip files.
I have the largest version of the photo realistic texture pack.. but it doesn't seem to be working properly. Some of the things - like animals and menus and such - look beautiful. But basic things like grass, trees, and water all look like the default minecraft pack. is there any way to fix this? it's quite bothersome.
I've never installed an hd texture, always seemed like too much work for too little reward. But I will definitely give this a shot. Just amazing.
