Link? Source engine has much better water than that...
That water rendering is identical to when directx10 had just been released with vista, and source was at a midway point where it could utilize some of the new libraries, but still remain a dx8/9 app. The lighting and HDR made it obvious, as well as the movement. The map style + the fact that he didn't break any blocks added to that. I don't have a link, but theres my two cents.
Scuttles, Photorealism needs the Custom Main Menu done with a 512x512 pack.
The panorama on the title screen that they look around with? I agree then. When I finish up the wildgrass on the x512 and some more of my mods get updated I'll try to get some screens.
I've noticed in 1.8 your 256 and 128 packs are pretty laggy. 1.7.3 I could play the 256 no problems. But now the lag is pretty intense. If you find out if there's anything up with those versions let me know brah. Because I find that a bit odd.
With each update, the game is becoming more memory intensive. This effect is amplified when you use textures so much larger than the default. Unfortunately, I'd either try the optifine mod (not very unfortunate as it's AMAZING) or step down a resolution. =/
Edit:
Just read your other posts. Have you tried the batch file by the x512 to run the pack?
This video can be reality if water shader becomes compatible with GLSL's God's ray combined with new lightning engine. Even water shader looks better than the water in the video.
Wow, we ARE really close to that. :blink.gif:
All we need is real time shadows.
i could need some help. with mcpatcher and better grass. it works perfect with the default pack but as soon as i switch the texturepack i get gray sidegrass.
im using 128x
thx for any help.
That usually means you have a conflicting mod with MCPatcher. I'd try a fresh install and start with the patcher. Then gradually add the mods until you find the one conflicting.
Put it in the same folder as the minecraft launcher (I think you need to be using minecraft.exe)
Ah well, thanks anyway, but it still won't load with the 512. =( I've got 8 gigs ram, i7 quad core (shadowing 8) and Ive fixed my java to run high, so I don't believe its my computer (maybe still operator error)but it wont load - just gives a message about not having enough memory and saying it's closing the game to save it from harm.
It's okay though - I'm very happy with the 256 anyway. I just wanted to see what the 512 was like and if I could make it work.

Then give more RAM to minecraft. Adjust the bat file text from 2048MB to 2556MB.
I was waiting for the update! BTW you still got to make iron bars, the animation of the bow when it's charging, update the chests, the discs, the ender pearl, the melon seeds and the foods.

Is anyone here able to tell me how to get GLSL working?
Is there any trick?
How i will be able to use shaders?
I don't think it would be enought only to copy the shaderfile into the minecraft.jar shaders folder without any modification.
I would be very happy if someone could enlighten me.
well you have to install the gsgl mod from page 215 i think on the gsgl shader topic. thats for 1.7.3 hasn't been updated yet. then just copy the shaders into the shaders folder in the jar. also you need to add custom files to the texture pack for bumpmaping and spectral lighting.

On top of these, there are the huge mushrooms! (Currently can't see them at all with the texture pack D= )
Im still loving your texture pack, but do you plan on updating the gravel texture to a more fitting one?
In my Opinion, gravel should rather look like this:
-image-
Wow, oddly enough, after testing last night on some textures that a fan helped me make, I really noticed how out-of-place the gravel texture is.
At this point, I do have plans on changing up the gravel texture to something a bit different. I'm too busy at the moment for the change. :wink.gif:
okay problem solved. i still dont know what it was. after the 2nd reinstall of minecraft it worked. i might think it was a update prolem or something due to a patched 1.8 and than updated to 1.8.1 and patched again. or something else. but its working now.
I have a problem with LB RPG Realism on 512x512. too. I only see the dirt backround.
/Edit: If i compare the LB RPG Realism.zip to another texture pack, then there are flowing folders missing: aether, armor, art, item, misc, mob, terrain. And the pack.txt is missing too. :/ Is this usefull for you?
The RPG pack is far from complete so that's why it has less folders and images. I believe that you are possibly running out of memory. Have you tried the .bat file or using the x256?

I have an ATI Radeon 5770 HD Graphics card
Every single HD pack says to get it, but never actually has a link :dry.gif:

Dropbox dislikes you and you got too much traffic from your images. XD
Anyway, I'd love to see and critique it mate.

Is it the latest patcher as well? I'm experiencing absolutely no issues here. =S
Where do we put the minecraft.bat file that goes with your 512 text pack please?
Just play, have fun!
Put it in the same folder as the minecraft launcher (I think you need to be using minecraft.exe)
Random Minecraft Seed Generator

3KillaBytes Minecraft Server Map (Tectonicus)

Phantom's Survival Server [3KBCraft]

yea the 1.8 update is only partially released.

Use the latest version of MCPatcher.
You need to use the hd patcher (should be a link on first post somewhere)
You haven't used MCPatcher to get HD Patch.
Use the HD Patcher my friend!

The next update (Hopefully coming REALLY shortly) will focus on fixing some terrain textures and adding some additional items.png textures.
That is strange. =/
Glad you got it work, though.
