Mine does not look like the Photo realism pic with the grass and trees. I did the new java, booted my ram thing, and did the mcpatcher also, did I miss something?

I have been having trouble downloading the file without error's in the rar. After repeated downloads I have managed to gather every file in an undamaged state besides the texture.png file. This is for the 256x version, Photo Realism. If anyone could upload this single file anywhere, would be awesome.

There is nothing that cannot be achieved through sustained effort and an exertion of the will.
I may sound stupid saying this but, can someone please help me. I started playing the 32x32 version of this texture pack, but the water is not blue but black and other shades, it gets darker as it gets deeper. The bottom of the body of water are almost pitch black, well the top and edges of the body of water are lighter grey and almost unoticable. Help will be appreciated.
The modloader version is to be installed after modloader itself.
Default shaders included (DOF and World Curvature). For more, download the official 1.5 package, or visit the Alternative Shaders page of this Wiki.
1.Drag contents of modloader zip into minecraft.jar >> I think you have to run the game once.
2.Drag contents of Laurina's patch for GLSL into minecraft.jar, just into the root of the file, same as modloader.
3.Run mcpatcher (HD patch) to enable HD texture packs.
4.After these steps you can use the LB Photorealism and Enjoy
Drag and Drop them in to the shaders folder in minecraft.jar
the first pic in the first page, how the grrass makes it look real. mine doesnt look like that, and I also did your steps and dont get the option of it
Alright, here's the deal everyone. I haven't been able to work on this pack AT ALL this weekend due to work (Actual work, lol), but I do have many textures 1.8 ready.
Now, would everyone like the pack simply 1.8 compatible and update as I progress, or do you want to wait for me to finish them?
Once again, wondering why my FPS is a bit low/bogs down at times.
-Six Core
-2.3GHz
-8GB RAM
Running 256x, and I only average around 40. A good portion of the time it's bogged for to around 30, sometimes less. I've optifined my game, and have the .bat file allocating 5GB or so...

well your cpu has a very low clock speed (stupid amd) and your graphics card is the thing that matters most.
I disagree when it comes to Minecraft.
Sure, the GPU is important in every game, so if he has an integrated GPU that's probably his issue.
However if he has a half decent GPU he should be fine, the CPU and RAM would be far more important.
Sure he has 8GB of RAM, but maybe it's slow RAM?
well minecraft uses about 10% cpu for me so its inportant to have a fast clock speed. and he doens't. but with higher texture resolutions it uses a lot more gpu than cpu. but thats also bc my cpu is more powerful than my gpu but both are very high end so it should still stand true.

Wait for official 1.8 and release your pack when you have all the new 1.8 textures on terrain.png and update as you process.
3.2GHz is enough for 256x and 512x. However your GPU VRAM is only 768MB which is your limiting factor. The higher resolution the texture, the more VRAM it uses.

This is what I used to think because my old gpu sucked my cpu sucks and I have only 4gb of ram (allocating 2gb to minecraft).
I recently bought a new gpu (It's a Radeon 6850 I'm slowly upgrading my computer). Before I could only play on the default texture pack, I HAD to have optifine, and all settings set to fast and I would only get around 30 fps. Now I can play 256x texture packs, no optfine, and fancy graphics and get a steady 100 fps. Keep in mind I only have an Athlon II x2 220 (EEW I'll be upgrading to the phenom II x6 1100t soon :smile.gif:) and 4gb ram (Upgrading to 12gb so I can have more people on my server)
So I have a really bad cpu and a really good gpu (bottleneck lol) and I run minecraft great.
Oh and I scuttles I vote you should release as you go because I <3 your texture pack and I'm missing it a lot lol.
I'm skipping the 4 giant mushroom textures and some of the other apparently useless ones too. Watch out for the particles, especially the new explosion and some green thingie particle.

I want to play with these textures!!!, make it compatible, then update it!!! Please? There I asked

I would also like to play with these textures as soon as possible :smile.gif: Just make them compatible and update them - even before the official 1.8 release (everyone already got the 1.8 pre-release version). Thank You :smile.gif:

Man, I didn't think my GPU was this 'bad'...
Also, the game lags horribly overtime in the pre-1.8 release when I fly around exploring the map. Is this supposed to happen? Like after 5-10 minutes of going in one direction, it's nearly unplayable.

Thank you so much, though it took a good 30 downloads, I finally managed to get my file and its running beautifully. Anything I can do, let me know.

I wonder there's a difference between DRR3 1600MHz and 2000MHz in minecraft.

Will probably slow down my laptop once I install it, but it's worth it <3
