Just want to say thanks for including my video in the OP. It really helped to give my channel a good boost in activity. I've been thinking of using your pack for 1-2 other videos as well. heh.

I must say, your videos are stunning. They were one of the reasons I decided to use this pack.
Scuttles, thank you for making the best minecraft texture pack I have seen to date.

Are you completely done working on the photorealism pack and only working on the RPG pack now? I still prefer the photorealism pack by a long shot :sad.gif:
I have been looking around at other mods and seeing screenshots of other texture packs and I noticed something about your pack. Though it is by far the most realistic looking one, it is very dark. I took two screenshots just to compare the default minecraft textures with yours:
Though the default textures are overly colorful, they are much brighter than yours, and in the screenshot it appears as more of a sunny day. In your pack, it always seems like it is a foggy, dreary day. Don't get me wrong, I love your pack to death, but I was wondering how much of a difference it would make if you just brightened up things like the leaves, grass, tall grass, and tree trunks. Maybe even add a more yellowish-greenish tint to the foliage so it looks like it has sunlight beaming onto it.
Alright what inventory GUI looks better. The differences are very subtle, but I really need an outside opinion so I can finish up the rest of the GUI. Ignore the black strip on the first one. I think Imgur corrupted it. =/
I love the texture pack =) but the water don't seems to work x64 =( and does this texture pack effect toomanyitem mod/ fly mod..cause it doesn't work after patching the texture pack... ><

I personally think a brightness in between the two screenshots would be best :tongue.gif:
also, just curious but what mod are you using to change the leaves?

I actually just released an update for the Photorealism pack recently. I will continue to update it, but I'll be focusing on mainly trying to catch the RPG pack up with the PR pack.

No problem at all. I could tell you put a huge amount of time into making the video so I'll be sure it gets recognized.
I'd actually be quite flattered if you'd make more videos containing my texture pack. ^^
SCUTTLES: about the GUI, if it isn't too late, what about modifying aageon's GUI (which I like the style of, nice job aageon) and giving it a more old and worn feel like the 2 images you posted (liked the second one better btw ^^). Maybe have the metal parts rusted in some areas, the wood having a weathered appearance?
That's actually what I had planned. I wanted to add a bit of grudge to the GUI without taking away from the brightness so that people can differentiate items still. That was a major issue of the old GUI. XD

I rather like the darkness of the pack. It adds a sense of realism as well as compensates for the lack of proper lighting. The trees around where I live are quite dark all year around. Even on bright sunny days the leaves are dark. The grass, on the other hand, may need to be a bit brighter.
Do I have to patch MC If I get the x16 version of this? (Meaning basically: I already Patched MC To Get Misa's x64, but I heard you have to Re-Patch Everytime you get an HD TxtPak, if thats true, do I have to repatch if I get the x16 version?)

You only have to repatch when you update your Minecraft client. Since you've already patched, you won't have any issues if you put it into the texture pack folder.

that's only temporary as the RPG pack is still a work in progress. Best thing to do is add the missing files in from the photorealism pack

How much RAM do you have? Alone, GLSL needs about 150 MB. The 128 needs about 200 MB alone. The 256 needs about 300 MB alone.
Definitely your first one. Looks far better.
i agree, the first is much better

Photoshop CS5. I got it cheap when I was in college for graphic design.

You don't have to repatch for every pack. You have to patch everytime the update comes out or you download a fresh jar.
that would be this mod right here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/508886-mc-v173-mod-v173-x-better-grass-leaves-mod/
OMG 1.8 is going to be... well there are no words for it but AMAZING
