To be honest, I don't like the water. It looks plain and dull. One of the reasons I like the ALBION texture pack is because of this:
Do you notice how nice the water fits in, bright, colorful, and detailed? I'm looking for that kind of mix. I hope that you could eventually come back to water when you have the chance and give it a big renovation.

I've been trying to get something of that quality alongside something with full animation. I haven't given up on the water just yet. I'm just too frustrated to work on it. xD
Posted this on the patcher thread, but bringing it here as well to see if anyone here can help:
Ok starting to go a bit crazy here. I installed the LB Photo Realism Pack on a friends machine and it works no problem. Our computer are custom builds and near identical in every way.
On my machine the game will sit at the Mojang screen for a few seconds and then crash to desktop. Oddly enough if I click "Test Minecraft" in the patcher the game starts just fine and runs great. It only crashes when I try to run it outside of the patcher.
Here is what the patcher tells me when I hit test:
Reducing java heap size to 768M for 32-bit OS + large texture pack
[java, -cp, C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/minecraft.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl_util.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/jinput.jar, -Djava.library.path=C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/natives, -Xmx768M, -Xms512M, net.minecraft.client.Minecraft]

First things first...I normally hate texture packs that are above 32x32, but I must say, the 256x256 pack is gorgeous. It definitely looked realistic, aside from a few textures, like reeds, etc...However, the rest was mind blowing.
Only problem is, it lags like crazy with it! XD I get roughly 4 FPS when playing with it, not to mention it takes a LONG time to get past the Mojang splash screen. I think I might check out the 128x128 version some later time.
If possible, do you think you could make a version that works well with better grass? I had to edit the terrain myself so the grass had color. A terrain made by you (the creator) that had colored grass and leaves would be awesome, so I know it's official and looks nice.
Try updating your version of java. I had this issue and just by updating the java I had, it solved it :happy.gif:
Already checked that, no luck. xS
What does the tester load differently that would cause it to work but the actual client to crash?
I have no clue as to why your computer is acting so funny. =\
The patcher skips the login part of the original MC. This may be a problem with your Minecraft itself and possibly a reinstall might be necessary.

hi version at 256x256 is the white with the light gray wool reversed
ps: sorry for my bad english
You're English is fine. ^^
Thank you for finding that. I'll fix it in the next update.

My pack should be compatible with better grass. The lack of color in the grass seems to be an incompatible biome which is a typical issue when installing through the texture pack folder.
Most of the screenshots in the first page use better grass as well
Another thought is that I could be mistaken and there is a different better grass mod that I'm not aware of.

Everything is still square.
That pretty much completed my night, lol
Edit:
Would anyone prefer Misa's mobs over the bumpmaft ones? I've been thinking of moving in that direction for the time being. I'll attempt to super-sample them and increase their resolution, but I almost like them as they are.
Where can I put my other saved worlds
I looked in the usual spots but it was nowhere to be found
I wanted to take my old worlds and insert them into the new files how do i do this

I usually just copy my saves folder to the desktop and put it back into the .minecraft folder after a fresh install
I agree, would make it much easier and much more "user friendly" for the people who don't feel like doing anything but a simple drag and drop of a .zip

It is in a drag and drop .zip format.
The 256x256 is very sensitive and rarely works through the texture pack folder. It may work with the hd patcher, I just haven't tested it yet.

Love that pack. After being satisfied quite a while with the Minecraft Enhanced 128x i upgraded to your 256x but that blowed off my FPS and Memory several times so i had to go back to 128x and it still is great.

this is a really awesome texture. i've never liked any texture before other than the default because there was always something i disliked about it. the only thing i dislike about this texture pack is that i have a hard time running it, i hope to get a desktop computer soon so that i can.
Is anyone else getting crashes with the recent update and the gui api mod settings screen?
Probably the mod isn't compatible or the version of java is exceeding the memory use and a 64xbit java would probably fix it.

I'm working on ways to subtly increase the fps of the 256x256 pack without losing too much quality. I'm getting there. :wink.gif:
Thanks for the compliment.

Hopefully minecraft becomes more efficient with it's memory usage and a whole world of issues would disappear. =/

Tried what you said (updated to java 64 bit) didn't help. Heres the error I got if you want to take a look at it.

Again, this is on the 128x128 until I figure out the higher resolution one.
