love the pack and all but 512x is laggy as well as 256x i can run 128x around 22fps :/ how do you allocate enough memory for java?
and another thing is the water suppose to be blue? i mean default texture pack blue in the videos and some user pictures the water is a light blue with a rippling effect :unsure.gif:
u need to change the bricks and gold in the 32X32 pack they have fire and portals swirling in them
Less jumping to conclusions, more looking for answers. -waits 5 seconds- Here, I'll just give you the answer. Use the HD Texture patcher. Know why I hate doing this? You still rely on other people, and you don't learn anything.

Here's a comparison of the LB Photo Realism versions. I tried to get a picture of the 512x LB RPG Realism pack but some sheep decided to push me out of the way. Needless to say, it is no longer with us.
any idea why I get an access violation when i use the 256x PhotoRealism pack and join the MC server i play on? It seems to work fine in singleplayer :/
Minecraft always run out of memory when I'm using the x512 texture pack.
I have the latest java for 64 bit and have run paramters set to -Xincgc -Xmx3072M (tried with lower numbers too).
I have patched it to use 3072 Mb ram from MCPatcher.
I have 4 Gb of RAM and always a lot of free ram before, during and after Minecraft tries to apply the texture pack.
My GPU also has free RAM.
What should I do?

Allocating more RAM by using parameters and MCPatcher won't do a damn thing. You have to use the batch file.

I'm sorry but what batch file? I followed the instruction to allocate more ram to minecraft but is that not enough?

I found the batch script online, but why doesn't it work the way people say that it should?
Remember to download that executable jar file too. There are other, maybe better batch files that have been posted countless times on this thread, but that one on the download page works just fine with me. You make a folder with the executable jar file and the batch file in there. Place the folder wherever you like, and then just launch the batch file.
(Remember to change 4096M if you do not have or have exactly 4GB of RAM, probably not smart to allocate the whole thing)

I agree with this. I mean it might work for some people, but not for others. I suggest completely removing the suggestion on how to allocate more memory in the OP, and instead tell people how to make the batch file and everything. Better to have people do it a slightly harder way and have everyone get it, and the easy way when only a couple people get it.
Ok so.. I've been getting this problem (Sorry if the solution is in here somewhere inside these 370 pages). So, I downloaded the texturepack, and did the Patching. When I start the game, it rolls just nicely, but when I have to choose a world to play, it says to me:
"Plugin(s) failed to load: spc_WorldEdit.class"
"Please refer to installation instructions."
After that, the game just closes itself.
Anyone have a solution?

That's not exactly a problem of the texture pack, but of a mod. It seems to be Single Player Commands not being installed correctly.
You should probably install the mod correctly.
Is it normal that most of the items i pick up (like, say blobs of clay) using the 256x pack are just white, blank squares?
EDIT: Oh wait, i switched to the default tile set, then back to this one and the stuff had the default appearance. Not to sure what happened there, a bug? Should i be seeing the default blob of clay?
Also, it may have been pointed out already (too many posts to read through and check) but sometimes water is invisible, it gets fixed by leaving and re entering the server.
Any news on whether or not 512x512 textures will be made for the Aether and the Nether.
Scuttles would just like to work on his RPG Pack, And then when he finishes (To a good state) he'll add support for the Aether mod, And the Nether is already supported, I thought :/

I'll check to see if the Nether has 512x textures.

Sorry for not being around folks. I had one of those "I'm sick of this" moments and decided to take a break from it before I lose interest entirely. I will try to put out an update tonight. It has a few tweaks and added textures as well as a really nice HD fire texture which I may add to the Photo Realism pack as well.

The batch file that is at http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp under the Linux/Other section.
"java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame"

thats a bug with mcpatcher. try using optifine.
Try allocating more RAM by using the batch file. Read last couple pages of how to make a batch file.
