Because the sun is shining again today here, i tend to be in a good mood and help you out a bit.
Download ->these shaders <- (Damajor's shaders for the curious people out there) and then only pick up the base.vsh, and drop that in the shaders folder inside the minecraft.jar (replacing the old file ofc.
This base.vsh will add waving water, trees, grass, etc.
If you want to get fancy you can also use the final.fsh in that package and add bloom/godray's/aa/ssao.
If you want those you will have to open the file (final.fsh) with notepad and remove the "//" before the functions you want to use, and add "//" in front of the ones you don't want to use, since aa and godray's, but esp ssao will demand quite a bit of graphical power.
But if that sounds way too scary/difficult, just adding the base.vsh from those shaders will give you waving stuff
ugh i want shaders but freaking mcpatcher doesn't' work with 1.7.3...
Works fine for me, while running 1.7.3. But in the case of Mcpatcher...i usually have a "don't fix what isn't broken" mentality when it's about mcpatcher. Had a few issues before where the newest version didn't work properly yet an older one did.
(Using mcpatcher 2.1.0_02)
It worked fine before i used optimine. but since then hd textures and fonts are greyed out. Its using the stock 1.7.3 jar so don't know why it wouldn't like it. Also it seems many others on the forum have the same issue as there is at least a page of us that have it. Nothing 2.0 and up works. didn't try below that because it likely wouldn't work anyway.
Can someone help? I have the 64x64 one (my comp kinda sucks) amd its laggs really bad, i have optifine and the hd patcher and all my video setting in-game are at the lowest. Is there any way i can get more fps?
Scuttles you are by far my favorite texture pack creator! I recently started messing around with your RPG pack and I almost had a heart attack because it is so amazing! Haha anyway a bit of criticism on my part maybe make the mossy cobble more mossy? But that's just me because I like my mossy cobble, well mossy! (Bad joke is bad) :tongue.gif: Anyway I freaking love the pack keep going man.
i love it. its absolutely amazingly superbly detaled and realistic. :biggrin.gif:
however, just a few little things i noticed:
-i dunno if its just for me, but i cant see any crack animation on glowstone when you hit it
-(also an "i dunno") i dunno if you removed it, but i dont see the ripple effect in the water (the waves)-not that the water looks bad w/o it, it looks great anyway, but just wondering if you did take it out
theres a few other things but they've been mentioned by the other commenters.
Scuttles are you planning on adding an HD font? I'm currently using the font of Misa's texture pack (don't tell her!), and I just feel it really adds to the pack.
Hi guys!! i have just finished replacing some textures in the 256x256 Terrain file..
so let me know what are you thinking about it :wink.gif:
the resolution it's the same but i improved the look of the stones, sand, snow,GLOWSTONE,Jukebox,Dirt,Grass, gravel, wood, obsidian, bedrock, wooden door, iron door, sandstone, wooden planks and more
im also improving the lava (that really sucks)
GRASS MUST BE CHANGED

It looked like you're using LB RPG pack. Do you realize that pack is NOT FINISHED? Of course a lot of blocks texture are not polished. I think the grass texture is fine and lava looks great. What makes you think you can go around and change somebody else's texture pack?
Bty, there's an unofficial update for GLSL shaders. It's on page 215.
So.. How much RAM should I assign to Java if I want the 512x pack to work? I allocated 8GB and it still gave me the error.. :|
well I'm assuming that you're going into the java control panel and adjusting allocated RAM there...that didn't work for me and I had to allocate more RAM to the minecraft.jar file itself. Here's what I did:
1. You will need to download the .jar launcher on the minecraft website. If you already have it, good for you!
2. Download optifine + optimine and get that up and running. Might be a good idea to test that the launcher and minecraft with optimine + optifine still works up to this point (just in case you derped somewhere :tongue.gif: )
3. Create a new text file in the same directory as your minecraft.jar launcher, and add in the following text: "javaw -Xmx3072M -Xms3072M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame". Then save this file as <insert name of choice>.bat. Make sure this does not save as a text file.
4. open your new .bat file, which should open a command prompt and shortly after the minecraft launcher with a good 3GB allocated! (allocating 3GB worked for me, but if you want to allocate 4GB, edit the .bat file so instead of "-Xmx3072M -Xms3072M" it now reads "-Xmx4096M -Xms4096M". You shouldn't need any more than 4GB)
Hello, i'm new on minecraft world, so i will try to help.
First, remove lines inserted on Java control panel (from others tutorials)
I'm have a 64bit windows with 64bit Java 1.7.0, this work for me.
Create a TXT file on desktop and rename it to minecraft.bat, open this file
with a texteditor a past this:

I'm sure you don't need to hear this again, but the 256x is an absolute work of beauty. I downloaded in some months ago and tested it just for funzies (there's no way in balls my integrated graphics driver is going to handle anything of this quality). I ran about 0.002 frames per second.
Are there any screenshots in this thread of the 16x version? I'd rather not scroll through 327 pages looking for any. I have a feeling there may be some textures I'd like to splice together with XSSheep's pack.

besides that, no problems! :wink.gif:
Haha, I love the juxebox :biggrin.gif: Nice work!

Click on the 256x bumpmapping video link at OP. There's a download link in the video description.
Well, it's fine as long you're not stealing the pack. Scuttles might approve your improvements.

Update the path to your Minecraft.exe and
then, double-click the bat file.
Here works with LB RPG Realism x512 Mod.
Any question, i will try to help.
Note: Point to Minecraft.exe, not for minecraft.jar,
so with this they will use your official account.
This works great for me.
