I'll re-do the 64 bit java though I did that a while ago. Doubt its a hardware issue.
It may be out of date, but I'm not sure if it would do that. Have you tried simply reinstalling a fresh version of Minecraft? Maybe something in the coding got broken along the lines.
It's a fresh install, this is the only addition I have on atm. It's definitely not the java version. The lag is really weird, it's probably my video card tbh. The lag is like frame stuttering and it makes me literally sick and dizzy.

That is really weird. I'm out of ideas, though. Sorry. Maybe update your graphics card?

Your graphics card is fine. I have 2x GTX 460 1GB overclocked high, runs on SLI and I have no problem with it.
That should be fixed now. I'm guess you were downloading the compressed version which I hadn't quite updated until last night. =)
Alright, it seems like I did do that by accident. I downloaded the correct one now. Thanks!
(Although I did find out that by installing Java 64-bit to fix the crashing with this pack, the Mumble overlay in MC is now broken. Not a HUGE loss, but it's disappointing.)
I do have the 1.5GB to allocate. I tried 1GB too and the same thing happens.
EDIT: I'm using the compressed pack. The regular x128 lags really badly as well.
You only have 2GB of total RAM... Your OS and other background software are probably using more than 500MB...
Get more RAM, upgrade to 64-bit, and then it should work :tongue.gif:

I'm unfamiliar with the mumble overlay. Maybe reinstalling the mod will fix it? I really have no clue, lol
Greetings. I have been loving this texture pack for some time now. However, I did my update to 1.7 tonight, and installed the latest version for 256, but now I have a problem with one specific grass height with the wild grass mod. Previously I could mess around with each grass height when it was spilt out of terrain.png, but given my lack of experience with editing it, I don't want to mess things up.
Anyways, as you can see with the below image, I get crossed lines at the top of the grass height image, but again only on this one specific grass height. All the others are fine, and the rest of the textures seem fine.
Any ideas?
btw...love the new glowstone!
EDIT: Nevermind. I reloaded with the version that doesn't use the terrain.png and we're back in business. Thanks again for a great texture pack! Carry on...
I am having the same problem. If I use the modloader version of Wildgrass, all of the wildgrass, wildvines, and wildflowers are low resolution. If I use the modloader version of Wildgrass with terrain then I get the high resolution grass, vines, and flowers, but the artifacts show up over that one specific grass height.
Been using LB Photo for a good while now and man do i LOVE it. One of the greatest texture packs available and Scuttles, you are one of the most helpful texture pack creators around! Which is a good thing for me since I do have a small problem:
My lava and my water are default. I've run the HD patcher - obviously since everything else works fine. It's been this way since the first 1.7 update came through. Any help or directions?
Hey scuttles. I have a suggestion for your awesome pack! When I'm cave exploring I sometimes find it hard to see ores when its slightly dark. I've missed coal and iron a couple of times. I even missed diamond once. Maybe you should try making the different deposits more brightly colored and noticeable. It isn't really that big of a problem though, just I suggest. I love the pack either way. :smile.gif:
Bah, the Optifog's mipmapping takes the realism out of the texture. Yes, it does remove the graininess, but it blurs out the textures 6 blocks away from you. All well, I don't really mind the graininess anyway. I'll try the GLSL with AAx and maybe hopefully the bump-mapping magic.

Haha, I shall continue to perfect the x16. Right now it's a downsample of the x256. =)
Hmmmm... I was thinking something similar to that. I want to find something classy yet legible.

Use the HD patcher. =P

It may be your harddrive. Try defragmenting.

Thanks. I didn't realize that it was a mipmapping mod. I'll check it out.
I didn't know Optifog does mipmapping. I thought the mod is for people who have slower computers.
Same here... but wow - I never knew what I was missing. I've been using the shader mod, but it hasn't updated in a while. Optifog works like a charm.
Now, if only I could get wildgrass to work with modloader I would find nirvana.
EDIT:
Wouldn't you know it. As soon as I discover Optifog, they go and release an update to GLSL. w00t
