Firstly, I have to say this texture pack looks AMAZING! This is the only other texture pack I like next to Misa's. Having said that, I have a couple pieces of constructive criticism, if you don't mind.
1.) The texture background of the inventory menu:
The texture is a dark and "uneven" color, so I can't tell what I have in my inventory without mousing over each item. It's very difficult to see those items.
I'm not sure how to put the original texture of just the inventory menu into this texture pack, so if anyone could suggest how to do that, that would get rid of most of my "complaint" about this texture pack.
2.) Paintings:
On my dedicated server, me and friends are building a large city and part of that city has an amusement park with several roller coasters. One of those coasters is a creeper ride which uses the creeper painting through a window opening to give the impression that a creeper is looking at you through the window. Similarly, there is also a fun-house ride which uses the skull and skeleton paintings.
All of those paintings are changed to something else with this texture pack. Misa's texture pack has the correct paintings. So, if someone could point me in the right direction of how to replace the paintings from Misa's pack into this pack, that would be great also.
3.)Torches:
The big black puffs of smoke are a little too much. For instance, with automatic double-doors, you've got black puffs of smoke just puffing through the floor from redstone torches underneath the floor. Looks weird seeing puffs of smoke coming through the floor.
Other than the above, I don't really see anything that needs much tweaking.
I would like to know what people are doing to get rid of the grainy-ness. That's kind of annoying. I'm using 256x, btw.

Open up the zip folder and replace the "art" folder with Misa's "art" folder.
Dear god, is it possible to play MC on 512x without crashing? Mine crashes when I switched to 512x even with 2GB RAM in java. Here's the error report for luls.

yea im just 12 and havent gone on any painting or graphic design class. so im proud of it XD and im just making it smother right now. dont know how to ad shader who... got any ideas? hope im not bugging you just say if i am.
Give it time then. You shall learn with age and experience. =D
I'd use the burn/dodge tools in Photoshop to add a shading effect to it.
I meant to post a joke telling you to make an update as a birthday present, I recall posting it but either my memory is failing me again (does that a lot) or I did it and it just didn't go through. :tongue.gif:
Try to make the glowstone brighter. The old glowstone you had really looked like it could cast a light but this one makes it feel like you took a gold block and made it light up the surroundings.
It's like a flashlight casting a light on a surface, but when you look at the flashlight it self, it's turned off.
Make it look kinda like this:
That looks like a potato with an inverted wiener.
Do it, Scuttles! :biggrin.gif:

I guess it is possible. I used the 512x for a few minutes. 60fps average though some things didn't look right. Maybe it's because I was using optifog+optimine instead of mcpatcher for hd textures. x)

Are there any native 512x512 released textures available for 1.7.3? I would love to try one again. :tongue.gif:

That's strange, I can play 512x terrain.png with optifog+optimine, but not with HD patcher? I thought Scuttles said you can with HD patcher. I'm getting average 120-140 fps with 512x.

Maybe Optifog+Optimine make it require less memory, allowing it to work.
In theory launching MC with >2GB should do the trick :tongue.gif:
I have an issue when I try to use either the 128 or 256 texture packs, I used to be able to run the 128 one fine, but now I get this.

I'm kind of confused... You want me to make a texture that is even darker and MORE golden to make it look like it's casting light and not "gold"? =/

I was actually thinking the same thing about the potato. Not so much the inverted wiener, lol

The nerve of you. Didn't even tell me. =(
Happy belated birthday!!
Lol, why such an odd resolution?
Thank you. :biggrin.gif:
I'll look into it. May be interesting.
Give it time then. You shall learn with age and experience. =D
I'd use the burn/dodge tools in Photoshop to add a shading effect to it.
Mipmapping mod and the anti-aliasing in GLSL shaders mod will help you. =)

This texture pack is AMAZING!
You only need it for 64x64 packs and above.
It's also recommended for 32x32 packs for full compatibility, but not 100% required.

So i put the folder that i downloaded in the texturepacks folder what do i do?
Sorry for my noobish-ness
I will update all resolutions at the same time unless I make a note of it. =)
Thanks. I'm not sure if it's permanent yet.
If I recall correctly Macs need to rezip the folder after they download it so that the game can recognize it.
Yea, I was going to fix last night, but "life" got in the way. =(
Haha, thanks, Debil. =)
I'm just trying to stay one step ahead of the community, lol
