and im a big fan of the traditional japanese culture(edo-chapter). I got the Idea from a movie from 2001. Its and Anime movie it calls german: Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland eng.Chihiros trip to the spiritlands (dont find a official translation). You can se In the beginning some little houses. And there they say their for the kamis (japanese spirits).
Nice. You know, this pack used to be unique. Now everyone and their mums are trying to be "realistic". =(
I used to watch plenty of Anime shows/movies. Ghost in the Shell was a huge favorite of mine. I rather like the idea of potentially taking this pack "East", if you know what I mean. I'm currently working a post-apocalyptic version at the moment. It's turning out quite well.

Na, My warenty was 'messed up' when I installed linux. 50-60 Bucks for a new charger. :/
Damn that sucks. =\
My friend actually reinstalled his Vista that came with his laptop when his charger fried his battery so that he wasn't voiding the warranty. Oddly enough, that same laptop had Windows 7 installed when a stick of RAM went bad and they didn't even question him about it...
Biased against Linux maybe? I'm smelling a lawsuit. >:biggrin.gif:
Kidding, best of luck with the new charger. When is it coming?
From what I'm picking up on this, Notch was spoon-fed Microsoft bribes. Knowing them, somewhere in the contract prevents him from making it for the PS3. I really don't mind that, it's just really not a console game let alone for Microsoft gimmicky "Kinect".
Firstly I'd like to say a lot of thanks for the texture pack! Me and a few buddies recently set up a building server and we're using this texture pack due to it's awesomeness for buildings and terrain.
I'm not sure if it's just us though, but all of us experience water that is falling as 'holyshitwtfbbq fast' it looks more like a mini-tsunami river than plain falling water, the odd thing is that water that has no movement in it is fine and calm. we were wondering if this was done on purpose or that it is a bug somewhere.
With kind regards,
Blazerer and consorts
p.s. also +1 rep for this great piece of work
That is an unintentional bug that I'm not sure how to fix. If you look at it up close it's a nice calm falling water textures. From the distance, it seems like it's going to rip everything apart. =/
I know water in real life flows extremely fast when in a downward motion. Maybe we can pawn it off as I'm just trying to keep the water dynamics realistic? =D
I use java version 1.6.0_25 JRE
I use 3 gb RAM + Soon still I will buy 1 Gb ram = 4 Gb
If it does not give result, then all hope on 1.7 minecraft
:dry.gif: F**k
That additional 1GB of RAM will greatly help you. =)
If the compressed version didn't work then I'd wait for either 1.7 or your new stick of RAM.
I reinstalled Minecraft, installed Java for 64-bit, ran the MC Patcher-2.0.1. and I still get this error. It's like the black screen of death
Minecraft has crashed!

Operating System?
Which error are you getting? The out of memory?
6GB should be plenty, assuming you are on a 64-bit OS with 64-bit JAVA.
I have Windows 7 64-bit, yea im getting the out of memory error.
Uhm i uninstalled my javas and installed the newest 64-bit JAVA so I tried it and it gave me an error saying i need a 32-bit java so i reinstall my old one, just telling you.
I was wondering how i could fix the memory error? I tried with mcpatcher, and i still got the error, What else should i try?
All my Item pictures are white squares and i dont know why! I even reduced the size of item.png to 1.57mb but still the same error...
I also have 4gb of ram and gave 2 of em to Minecraft/Java

The only reason it would give you that error is if you have the pirated version of Minecraft. The launcher was only scripted to identify 32bit Java. Either buy the game or allocate memory using the link in the top of the first post.
It's running great, looks fantastic, but the only thing I'm wondering about is how grainy it looks, mostly when I'm moving around, is there a simple fix for this? Like a change of refresh rate or something?

There are a few mods out there to remedy the bad grain. It's a consequence of Minecraft lacking any form of texture filtering. I'd try the mipmapping mod personally as it's really easy to use. If you'd like something more advanced, look into the GLSL shaders mod.

Are you using the HD patcher and what exactly is crashing?
I am using HD patcher and when i would open the texture pack folder the game would give me a crash screen saying "Minecraft has crashed" and when i am using HD patcher i get a black screen on start up.

I'm thinking it's an out of memory error crash. I'd try following the top of the first post's link. It gives a helpful tutorial that will allow additional allocation of Java. It also may be a possibility that your computer can't handle the higher resolution textures. I'd say that 4GB is a minimum for the x256. I know it's possible to run with the 3GB, but it's not really trustworthy.

Sounds to me like either
A) You pirated the game.
or
:cool.gif:[B] You are trying to play the game in a [32-bit] browser.
fair enough :tongue.gif: I must say it's also not as bad as it was at the beginning, you kinda get used to it. but it's still a pity considering our first building is a water temple :tongue.gif: Still, ty for the response, i'll be keeping an eye out for this topic
That is a shame. =(
I really have no fix to it unless I completely change my water texture
when i had compressed it with PNGgauntlet, I got only a reduction of 5-11 % :ohmy.gif:
If you have Photoshop, there is a filter called posterize which if you set it at like 45-60 range, reduces the size dramatically without a visual loss.
Also, keep in mind for the breaking animation that you don't want to have it selected before doing posturize as it turns it into a different shade of gray which is simply not good. XD
I compressed only about 3/4 textures because some of them become a little corrupted such as the mobs.
Did you change the particle effects of torches and redstone in the latest version? Or did I get a bad download or something?
-snip-
Thank you, I've updated the link now. You can probably just drag and drop the particles from a previous version if you don't feel like downloading all 45mb again. =)
Minecraft is refusing to load the 128x texture pack :sad.gif: It shows whatever Texture pack I used last, with the exception of gui, particles, sun moon, and clouds. right now im copy&pasting bits of your pack into minecraft enhanced 128x to see what isn't working.
Anyway, if you bought the game, and you downloaded it fresh off of Minecraft.net, then your issue is most likely with the [B].
Well, yea i didn't buy it, i also didn't download it off minecraft.net, so I guess you could say the pirated version, but wouldn't it be the same as the normal beta? :huh.gif:

lolz, laterz.
