A little help here
my minecraft keeps running out of memory when i am trying to play with the 256x, before the 1.6.4 update this works fine, but now i can't play using this. Help?
FYI, i already done that Java-Memory thing, and still doesnt help.
Could you help me here? So far i can only use the 128x, still doesnt satisfy my hunger of the Graphics.

Let'ssssss dessssstroy that housssssssssse over there...ssssssss
I'm working on making a better version of this pack and hopefully it will help fix the white box issue until a more stable version of Minecraft comes out.
Hi there !
First i want to thank you for your texture pack, it's the best i ever seen, and i use it since 2 month, since i play MC :biggrin.gif:
But i got a problem with the new links, i can't download it, seems like mediafire got problems.
Could you (if it's possible) upload it on Megaupload or RS or HF i don't care but i hate running minecraft without this pack :tongue.gif:
Thanks a lot.
eAveNN
EDIT : I'm running it on a laptop so I use the x64, thanks
Sorry I wasn't around when the links weren't working. I just downloaded all 3 resolutions so they seem to be working now.
awww I'm looking forward to the next update because the game runs really slowly after a few mods with this texture pack (for me after I add MCExtended) :tongue.gif:
Hopefully I will be able to remedy this. I managed to reduce the size of the x256 by 10mb. Easily enough to increase the FPS dramatically.

The reason that happened is Minecraft had new textures that, when made into a higher resolution, created more memory usage and it was just enough to push people into the crashing threshold. I'm working on remedying the issue by using several compression methods in an attempt to help the memory usage. So far it has had some pleasing results on my laptop, but made a minimal difference on my desktop.
Anyway, enough rambling. What are some of your computer specs? You may need 64bit Java or even updating your Java to the latest version helps.
Im have a problem, ok so when i downloaded your 256x256 pack it was working fine. But i usually have 2 mods on my minecraft wich are modloader, and single player commands. So when i downloaded my 2 mods i started getting white boxes for some of the items, so i checked your forums and found a solution to take away the white boxes was to download java JDK, i downloaded the 32 bit since i dont have windows 7 and my computer cant run the 64 bit. so the 32 bit jdk got rid of he white boxes. but i still have one problem, After i play for like 30 mins my minecraft turns off, also whenever i go onto minecraft a get that black box java popup, and one time a message popped up saying that i dont have enough memory and that it needs to shut off.
edit: i just checked my minecraft, now whenever i try to load a level i get that out of memory message
I completely forgot that it had all the updated textures with that download. Well, cake isn't quite finished yet. I wanted to make the sides tile better.
Not sure if should even bother posting this, but i did a first (really basic) attempt at some post-processing, and thought this was quite a suitable texturepack for that case.
(And my excuses for the variable fps at times, my pc is getting older and flying around, recording in full screen And having wild grass grow new grass in a new area in a map is a bit too much it seems =] )
A modest link rather then a huge video blocking the view:
Anyways, keep up the good work! =P
I actually watched that video prior to you posting it here. I found it quite amazing. I can't wait for you to develop your video editing skills even more.
Hey, Firstly i love this Texture pack, I've been using it for awhile now, but.
Call me stupid but since patch 1.6.6 i havent made any backups, And yesterday After a week or so of playin without mods, i decided to load them all up, At the time your 256x texture mod was working fine. Either way a mod went wrong so i had to start from scratch.
I started MC, Closed it Patched with the the latest HD patcher, Then copied over your 256 Pack.
-crash-
I have 8gb of ram, and have never had any real problems running Minecraft (other than messing up mod installs =) ) I've tried your "White box" fix, and the MCPatcher 2048 fix. Any help would be great
PS, I can use both the 64 and 128 packs just fine, its just the 256.
Download 64bit Java, silly. =)
It may have been a mod conflict initially. Also keep in mind that the latest version of Minecraft takes up even more memory which downloading 64bit Java will fix entirely. The new version I have out seemed to reduce my memory usage by 300mb while playing.

Have you tried allocating more memory to Java? Also, if you wait a few days I'm releasing an extremely compressed version of this pack which should run much faster.
I started up minecraft after switching from Minecraft Enhanced to this one. And I've gotta say, I'm speechless. Can't put it to words, it's lifelike, better than I thought Minecraft would ever look.
I really love your texture pack but ever since the 1.6 update it hasn't been working for me, I keep getting the black screen. I did everything the forum says but whenever I test my minecraft after patching it this comes up

Is this the texture you changed the glowstone to? Man the other one looked so much better please change it back D:
But other than that I really love your texture pack and keep up the good work
Yeah Im with him to.. I loved the old glowstone so much.
I have the (256x256) DOWNLOAD LINK: VERSION 5.0.4
And it laggs quite hard does anyone know how to fix it?
I'd recommend downgrading a resolution if you are having major lag on the x256. If you wish us to troubleshoot, post some specs. I haven't got much going on today. I planned on working on this for the better part of today.

Are you using 64bit Java? It seems like it's running in mixed mode (32bit Java on a 64bit computer) so that may be the issue there. Also, a fresh install is always better than an overwrite.

I've batted back and forth between several glowstone textures for quite some time. I have the old texture in the alternatives coming next update. =)
I started up minecraft after switching from Minecraft Mnhanced to this one. And I've gotta say, I'm speechless. Can't put it to words, it's lifelike, better than I thought Minecraft would ever look.
Then my job is done. =)
I've spent countless hours looking at this game and wondering "how can I make this look amazing in ways no one has ever attempted". From that spawned one of the first x256 packs and the originator of the wildgrass biomes so now we can actually visualize the rainforests and savannas. I'm continuously trying to find hidden ways to perform even higher tasks as the limitations of this game are nearly non-existent.
I have now finished some rail types but Im not sure which options I add in the final.
Finillay scuttles choose the parts for the final rails. :biggrin.gif:
But I would be thankful for hearing your meaning to this.
I used the new Planks(not released yet) from LB Photorealism and originally the rails but i resized them and recolorified every vertical pixel string individually.
-images-
I'm not quite liking the rails. =S
It doesn't seem to have that "realism" aspect of the other ones. I'll certainly add them to the alternatives, though.
How is your alternative terrain.png coming along, by the way?
Only thing I notice is that at a distance it looks pretty grainy. Anything that can be done to combat this ?
Edit: Brown objects, espectially sticks are abit hard to see in the crafting window, especially individual items with no number.
The GUI has priority has been pushed back a bit, but may be changed in the next update. I'm working on an efficient compression method and I have tested it with great success.
The "grainy" effect is Minecraft lacking any form of texture filtering. To combat this I'd try the mipmapping mod or even the GLSL shaders mod has been known to fix this. Phantom know a hell of alot more about the shaders mod because I simply don't use it.

I use Shaders & Mipmapping together, the grain is virtually nonexistent.
The shaders really smooth out the mipmapping, so it just looks like it's far away, realistically, instead of just being a solid-color texture.
I use the Shaders Grugsy posted with the Unofficial 1.6.6 port of GLSL.
- Detector Rail (finished)
- All types of Torches (normal, redstone, lever)
- Snowy Dirt
- Few fixes on the minnerals
- Edit the Top of the Workbench
- Dispenser
- Sugarcane small lighting fixxes
- Bed graphic
And have you finished the requested things. I need them.
When i have the requested Things it will be finished hopefully Thurs-Friday.
I've been extremely busy refining the compressed version of this texture pack. This is extremely revolutionary as I've seen the compressed x256 pack run well and steady on a 3GB RAM junk computer. ^^
I may be able to get around to doing them, but no promises as of yet.

Precisely, I got a better compression program. Takes an hour to do the x256 terrain. xD
This weekend so I have plenty of time to finish up many more textures. The terrain.png is almost 100% finished at this point. ^^

That seems like Minecraft is running out of memory and is running the game without the textures to save memory. =(
