There's always an error, just need to know where to look.
Hint: Test Minecraft in MCPatcher, wonder what that button does? :-)
Thanks, but this is not a fault of the texture pack...
This is with MCPatcher, and/or more likely, your computer.
I think Java is slightly easier than PHP...
Maybe that's just me. :tongue.gif:
That is what I stated. I think it is MCPatcher and NOT the texture pack. The packs work perfectly fine with MC 1.6.4. It is a combination of the 1.6.5 update and MCPatcher.
Well for me, i grew up in a small school with our librarian teaching us how to use basic features of a computer(these were the macs that had big boxes on the back of them). by basic features i mean microsoft word and powerpoints and internet explorer. after that i pretty much had to teach myself other things. then i heard the words 'mod' and 'java' and other things like that for the first time about 4 years ago. didnt mean much too me at the time because at 10 years old play-dough and a matchbox car was enough to satisfy. Then BOOM im in highschool. year seven was pretty much the same as year 6. normal year with a **** load of homework. then year 8 hits and im introduced to Youtube and Facebook. i find games like Minecraft and i watched videos of how to survive your first night by paulsoaresjr. then he uploaded videos about mods and i got more interested in them. a few months ago i finally got mods to work and not crash the game. So thats the breif version of the technological part of my life story starting from kindergarten. You may notice that i know absolutely nothing about anything about java and script lines/error codes and all that ********. Please explain. and please point out where in that story was i supposed to learn what scripting and java ect was all about.
My school doesn't know crap about programing. I'm self taught too. Plus I disagree I think php is much easier than java, but I'm not experienced yet with java.
I Mean come on Minecraft? Optimize the game.
I can run Crysis 2 with full specs, but I can't run a low graphic indie game?!
I'm pretty sure it's not my computer causing the problems.

MC is more dependent on RAM than other games, 32-bit ****s with RAM.
So it is your computer.
Mess around with it.
I gather since you only have 4GB of RAM that you do have 32-bit.
If I am correct, set it to 768M.

It's Java, for the most part. If Minecraft was done in, say, C++ it'd be better. Java... see my sig. Here's hoping that later when modding gets easier to do someone does just that, non-java Minecraft. You'd get a big FPS increase, it wouldn't break as easy, and it wouldn't be such a resource hog.
There's a reason you don't normally see Java used anymore.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Java is bulky, slow, hogs resources, passes out from exhaustion, and although it was big in the 90's is now typically only found on poorly designed websites. Much like Harry Knowles. So any time Minecraft crashes, blame Java.
What happens when you use the 128x? You didn't finish your sentence...
And what are your computer specifications?
You have a really powerful computer, tell us what it is then...
Oh, I have a commodore 64, it's a super powerful computer.
Perfectly capable of running 128x in 1.5_01.
CWHATIDIDTHAR?
Here is the specification:
CPU
Intel E5400 Pentium Dual Core 2.7GHz
Artic Cooling Cooling body
Mother board
ASUS P5QPL-AM G41
Memory
2GB DDR2 800MHz Kingston
Hard Disk
WD 640GB SATA 32MB
CD Burner
NEC DVD RW X 24
Package
Hec Compucase 6C11
provider
EZcool 450W
Video Card
Geforce GT220 1GB
Keyboard and Mouse
Microsoft multimedia
Screen
LG W2271TC 22'' LCD 5ms
As you may see, this computer is custom-made :smile.gif:.
In the 1.5_01 i ran the 128x version and it worked just perfect. now when i run the 128x it takes about 10 second to load, the menu is fine but when i enter my world, everything is in white! >.<
I can't upload screen shot cause after few possibilities i tried, the game simply stop running when i chose the 128x and said to me "Not enough memory!".
As you may see, this computer is custom-made :smile.gif:.
Really good computer?
That's a super low-end computer, mate.
I'm surprised it runs MC decently WITHOUT any Texture Packs.
I can't see you being able to run it with HD Texture packs at all.
My mind is blown that you were able to play 128x in 1.5_01.
However, performance of MC does vary between versions.
I recommend trying x64.

Really low-end computer? how can it be? it run everything perfectly without any lag (Beside multiplayer and that is the game problem, you know :wink.gif: )
Anyway, i just downloaded the new HD patcher and it work just fine, thanks for you help anyway.
*whisper to myself* Really? a low computer???! *whisper to myself*
Also, I may have to delve back into mipmapping. The latest version like a month ago just wasn't compatible with my graphics card so it might work now. ^^

I'd say get more RAM 4-6GB and you'd actually have a pretty beast computer to my standards. You do have quite a few choke points, though. This is usually as a result from custom built computers and not knowing what some parts would benefit from.
GT220 graphics card, that's like the best of the Low End cards, but it's still low end.
Only 450Watt power supply, extremely low :S
The rest are fine, but those are the core parts of having a 'beast' gaming PC. :/
Not that I want to trash his computer, but he calls it "really powerful", when it really isn't.
2GB of DDR2 RAM really isn't enough for HD Texture Packs.
What games does it run perfectly without any lag?
Runescape? :S
Okay, I have set my java's runtime parameters to "-Xincgc -Xmx1536M". Is there anything I should do in MCPatcher before attempting to run the texture pack?
I'm not sure if my computer is able to handle the 256 version of this TP, I'm trying to be polite as possible as i'm not that good with all this computer and technology stuff. Is my computer capable of handling at least the 128x version?

minecraft at fancy graphics and normal fog (far causes random crashes), my computer is really good and the problem was in the HD patcher, so stop teasing me! :tongue.gif:

Best texture pack out there! Thanks.
It's not that bad... if only torches and leaves weren't iffy.
Oh well, here are the best two screenshots I could take without flymod, nothing special:

As I said before: Don't use your age as an excuse.
As far as real life teachers come, I taught myself everything, with the help of Google and some friends I have made online.
Rather then feeling sorry for yourself, and making others do the same, start pushing yourself to learn things.
Just my stance, not only to you, but to everyone in similar situations.
Anyway, I explained to you what to do in my previous reply.
EDIT: Scuttles, would be neat for support for following mod:

Ah okay, I underestimated you.
Most people with 4GB of RAM stupidly use a 32-bit OS.
Try 1G, 1536M, and 2G, in that order, until it works. :tongue.gif:

This is the absolute most retarded mickey mouse ghetto fix ever, but it seems to work consistently. (for me anyway)
1. Switch your texture pack to the default (switching to any other pack seems to work too)
2. Restart Minecraft.
3. Switch back to LB Photo Realism
It should work fine now, but quitting the game seems to reset it and you'll have to do it over again.
This is with 128x, btw. Haven't tried it with other versions.
Hope this works for you guys!
EDIT: Also using 64 bit Java, though I'm not sure whether it actually effects anything.
