I'm 99% sure that only takes affect for the "Test Minecraft" button, and you still need to use the Java Control Panel to change it for normal use.
Sad day. I got excited for nothing. Maybe I'll notify Kahr that it should actually change it outside of the "test" function. Although, it may be frowned upon if something goes terribly wrong with their Java or computer.
This is an absolute amazing texture pack, its so detailed and the water is awesome you really should keep going and keep making this texture pack awesome!

yea also seeds are really bad being held, but its a issue on how minecraft makes objects in hand "3d"

Yay, my first issue that I can ACTUALLY fix today. ^^
I was going to finish up the items but got distracted with 1.6 and other projects. I think that will be my weekend project. I'd love to see some screenshots of the specific issue just to clarify what needs to be repaired/fixed.
At this point, nothing on the items.png can even be considered "finished". I'm far too picky and I've been constantly fixing the terrain.png which was flooded with graphical errors and tiling issues at one point.
Other tools and items do this as well. This is with the 256 version of PhotoRealism. I absolutely love this texture pack, and I will be using it regardless. XD

Me too. You're one of he lucky few that it actually renders the items for. The rest of them, such as myself, just get obnoxious white boxes for items. XD
Well, I do have a significant amount of touch-ups to do with the items.png still. So that's a plus that you've reminded me, lol

I've already made the glowstone "glow" more in the next release as well as the diamond being a bit brighter. I'm also trying to find a solution to the coal being so damn hard to spot for some people. I'm too used to it at this point that I can't why they are so blind. XD

It's a bit disheartening to look at the minepedia version history. It's like "we fixed these 4 things, but here's 50 new issues because of it"... Yay. =(
If you could make coal a little more noticeable it'd really help. There are times when I'm right beside coal and can't tell it because it kinda blends in with cobble stone lol.
I mean it looks great. But maybe it could be a little darker? or something..

Hey just wanted to let you know that I've downloaded all three versions of this texture pack and with no luck of having any of them working.
Seems that I keep getting one of the following errors each time when I try to log into a server my husband and I have running for our own use:
- Out of Memory Error!
Minecraft has run out of memory.
This could be caused by a bug in the game or by the Java Virtual Machine not being allocated enough memory. If you are playing in a web browser, try downloading the game and playing it offline. To prevent level corruption, the current game has quit. Please restart the game.
- Connection Lost
Failed to login: Bad login
- Connection Lost
End of stream
I've even tried the whole unpatching the game and repatching it to see if that worked and unfortunately it didn't work. Also tried the old launcher to make sure nothing was wrong with the new launcher, still didn't work. I was using the previous 128X128 and that was working fine, but it seems the updated pack is just not working correctly for some reason. I really hope this can be fixed cause I quite enjoy this pack a lot. n_n Am I doing something wrong here? Just to let you know, I didn't mess with any of the settings in the patcher, so I don't see why there would be a problem there.

Anyway, it's either because you are out of memory (most likely), or your GPU drivers need to be updated.
Try changing your Java Heap Size to 768M.
Get the latest drivers, as of today, 5/27/2011, here:
