I have an issue with this pack, and all HD packs. I don't know how to properly use the HD Patcher, although I've seen videos on how to use it correctly. I can put the HD texture pack into the custom texture pack folder, and it works, and in game I get around 80-100 FPS, but anytime I try to open Minecraft after I closed it, it won't start up. The only way to fix it is to go the the texture pack folder, then remove the HD texture pack, then Minecraft works again. I don't want to have to keep putting the texture pack in the game every time I start up Minecraft. How can I fix this, if I can? Or is it a crappy processor, or what?

Read my avatar. 100% true, and if you don't think so, I will fight you.
Dude!, WHY on earth did you change the stone texture? Just the regular stone that you mine to get cobblestone. It looks HORRIBLE now. I updated to the newest version of the 64bit. since it runs the best. very sad you changed it :sad.gif: im going to have to go figure out how to change it myself or use someone elses textures. Im really bummed you changed it. makes no sense cause the new texture is SO SO ugly.
Sorry just trying to give constructive critisism. I loved this pack and used it exclusively but now its ugly and dont feel like having to edit the terrain.png just to change one texture. :sad.gif:
bummed out dude!
I have terrain.png with old stone and dirt texture with new iron, gold, and glowstone block. I edited it myself. I can give it to you if I know where to upload the png.
for the people talking about HD skins, it is 100% impossible to have an HD skin. Skins NEED to be the right size, any bigger or smaller and they won't work. However, for your skin, you CAN add texturing (slight color differences between pixels, to make it look rougher), but you CAN'T add more pixels. Skins are ALWAYS 64x32.

I'm with Phantom on this one. This wasn't constructive at all. All it was is you saying you despise the new stone texture for absolutely no reason. The new stone texture looks far more natural and personally much better looking than the old texture.

I'd have to say that you're running out of memory with Java. Try updating your version of Java to 64bit, if you can, or look up how to increase Java heap size.
Is there any chance someone could please post a mirror to the files? When I click the links in the OP i just get redirected to a 4x4 blank png image.
thanks guys! beautiful texture pack, just wanna be able to download it :wink.gif:

I'm working on getting some better links in the future, but for now remember to click the "skip ad" in the top right corner and it should direct you to a mediafire link.
I tried using this pack but it causes a black screen after the loading screen.

HERE is how to fix the black screen problem. After a little bit of reading and google and stuff like that I fixed my 256 crashing error.
ONLY DO THESE STEPS IF YOU ARE ON A 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM!!!
1. Version of java.
1a. By default windows 7 64 bit auto downloads java 32 bit. Why? Because browsers run in 32 bit and most java applications are web applications, thus the 32 bit default.
2a. To resolve this issue go to HERE and choose the 64 bit for your respective operating system. Install, rejoice, eat cake.
2. Now! For the easy stuff. Download the HD texture patcher that is linked in the first page of this thread.
2a. inside the HD Patcher go to the Options tab. Find the area under "General options" that says "Java Heap Size (MB)" Change this field from "1024" (What mine was defaulted to) To "2048" (exactly double) and patch your minecraft.
3. ?????
3a. ????????
4. Profit!
I've done that, I have the newest patcher, and these are my specs:
Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
I'll need more specs than that. That's just your OS. I'll also need to know amount of RAM (to determine if your just short on RAM), your graphics card, and most certainly if it's 32bit or 64bit OS
scuttles!! you may as well add GlassCraft under mods supported because nearly all of my 128x128 textures are based on yours, apart from my items :tongue.gif:
Probably could. :wink.gif:
Hey, could you send a pic of the layout for the golem again? I seemed to have misplaced my USB drive somewhere and I think it would be much faster to start again anyway. (I didn't quite like the texture that I was using)
Now that I've made some better textures, I think I'm going to scrap the spider as well and redo it. =/

You CAN have HD Skins, but it will only show up for you... no one else.
ive tried unpatching and then repatching still doesnt work

Why? You can't upload HD skins to MC for SMP.

Also, this is for all resolution HD packs?
Have you patched it with the HD patcher and what are some of your specs?
That's natural. Blame Notch for never putting in a proper texture filtering into Minecraft. =/

How about you try upscaling it to x64?
I guarantee yours will be blurred the **** out too.
That's 32x, not 64x. :S

Thank you. =D
I shall add that in. I didn't keep track of my changes so I really don't know if anything else was changed.
Thanks. =)

Talk about Epic Fail! :dry.gif:
It was late and I wondered why it was so easy. I forgot it was a 2x4 square image.
It was a fresh install of P.S. and it was not set up yet. Blur is all your ever going to see on that image in 64x.
