3. Downloaded x256 pack.
4. Downloaded HD Patcher 2.0.1(From the link), ran it, patched(At 2048)
5. Placed the texture pack in the texture pack folder

i think you did it a bit wrong there, i think you're supposed to have the texture pack in before you run the HD patcher
I downloaded java x64 but im not sure if minecraft is using it because i still can not put in objects without the game freezing and stopping. Is there a way to assign minecraft to using java 64? Do I have to uninstall java x34? Will uninstalling it affect anything ells?

You should uninstall it...
Anyway it's Java x86, not Java x34. :tongue.gif:

ok so i have talked to my friend about it since he uses the baleria texture pack and i have shown him the post i made concerning the double tools/weapons and he says it also happens to him, imo i think its the HD patcher that does this.
Thanks for the confirmation, Chaotic. ^^
It's good to know that I don't have to change or fix anything, lol. I'll probably post something on the HD patcher thread to see if he can fix this issue. It's been around for a long time and maybe I'm wasting my time, but it's worth a shot.

still working on it, but faaaaaar too long about 2 weeks so far working 3-5 hrs a day, the obsidian took FOREVER to collect. But it looks so much nicer with your pack
Haha, thanks.
It has turned out very nicely, though. Massive projects are always satisfying to finish. =)

Recommended specs?
Maybe I can try it out on my mom's computer while she's at work, not on this 1.5GB RAM, GeForce FX 5200, single-core 2.16GHz piece of dung.
What I'm saying is, it looks great!
I wouldn't try the 256 for sure. You may be able to get away with the x64.

I am confused, when I run the HD patcher, the HD Textures and HD font buttons are not available, what am i doing wrong?
I'm not quite sure as I've never experienced that. Please take this to the proper thread (HD patcher thread) and see if they know an answer.

Well, well, well. Welcome back! Nice vacation?
Hopefully it was better than my weekend. I got a little drunk and spent the next morning over a toilet.
Sushi + Alcohol = Disgusting as hell when throwing it back up the second time
Personally, I think it was just the sushi. >.<

Sad thing though, is that this guy doesn't think that MediaFire is AFTER Ad.Fly because Ad.Fly is to provide moneys.
Can't wait for you to get MediaFire Pro!
Haha, me either. First I have to grow some chest hair and sign up for a credit card. :sleep.gif:

Do you have a crash report? Also knowing your system specs will help greatly.
In the mean time, click "test Minecraft" with the patcher and see if that works. Also go into task manager while Minecraft is running and see what Java is doing the payload. You may be running off of 32bit Java even with your 64bit installed.

Great pack! Thank you!
Only one thing: according to my tastes ofc, smooth stone is too dark and "dirty" (though very realistic).
One reason i'm saying this is that most packs have "clean" and lighter smooth stone (than, let's say, cobblestone) and it would be nicer imo between builders, if there wasn't that much of a difference between packs.
Well if all packs looked the same... :/
I love all the textures and colours in this pack. Especially sandstone. Because it resembles sand+stone, it's even true to the default texture but more evolved and it's what sandstone is in 90% of the packs. "Yellowish+stony". If a builder wants to build for example the pyramids this texture material is like, godly and resembles what the builder wants to make.A guy though who comes and has X pack (i wont say a name) comes and sees something that resembles a grey mud monster. But the 99% of the server even if they use default, they will say "aww its the pyramids".
Generally builders want their buildings to be aesthetically pleasing to others too. My point is if they have a pack that differs, not in texture, but in colour and contrast, the thing that they will see will be very different than the thing others see.
Anyway the current cobble and smooth lightning are kind of reverted in comparison to -from my experience in packs - 90% of the packs out there and the default. Smooth is a tad lighter and "clean". And it's not necessary to give up realism to achieve that. For example it could be like the stone texture here http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~sbuss/CourseW ... index.html , and with the cobblestone being a little darker in order for them not to be too similar.
Forgive my arrogance, i have no experience in creating texture packs or textures and again i love this pack and i use it for my own visual pleasure, even if when i build i have to keep in mind how others will see the thing i build if it has smooth or cobble in it (which is a rare thing but still :tongue.gif:).
I can see where you are coming from and that is an extremely well-thought out and constructive post. Thank you.
Anyway, I'm working on several alternatives and I've been messing around with the idea of different themes for my pack based off the location that they are suppose to represent. I'm from Michigan and the stone near me is very dark and gray. This is probably not the case for many others and I think it would be extremely beneficial if I could start mirroring other locations.
Such examples could be that the dirt of, well to be simple, an Australian outback setting has a very distinct red tint to it. I know many of their stones would be a light brown to a red color as well.
A light gray stone is certainly a potential possibility and I've messed around with some near white textures a long time ago. (I was going for a marble look... Don't ask it was ugly)

Are you running off of the latest HD patcher. That almost seems like an outdated version issue.
In any case, to check to see if your Minecraft is running off Java 64bit you should start up task manager while playing Minecraft. There should be a Java process running and if it says something like java*32, you're running off of the 32bit version. If it says Javaw, or something similar, you're running off of 64bit.
Uninstalling 32bit Java will affect very few programs/applications. I'm not really experienced in that area so I may be completely wrong. I also don't know how to assign 64bit Java to a program. =/

1. No Crash report appears when the game crashes after the Logo Screen.
2. Windows 7 Home Premium, AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor 3.00 GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit OS

Your specs surely surpass the minimum requirements so that's not an issue.
I would try uninstalling 32bit Java and 64bit Java. Then reinstall only the 64bit Java. If it's still running off 32bit after that, your download wasn't right. =)
Did you use the link on the first page to find 64bit Java?

I had actually uninstalled my Java and installed "64 bit" prior to send you the information. And yes, I used the link you had given me on the front page.

Try this link:
100% virus free as long as you don't go browsing through the "ads by Google" area, lol
This is the link I use because, like you, the 64bit download doesn't always work for me on the main site. http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre_64/

I just solved it. It's running successfully and might I say it look amazing. Might I make a suggestion? I would suggest that maybe somewhere on the front page, you recommend downloading the 64-bit Java with Google Chrome. Here's why: Not a lot of people are too savvy when it comes to their internet. They just use it. And one part of not knowing would be not knowing their bit version of the explorer they used. I hadnt realized that my Firefox and Internet Explorer weren't 64-bit. Here's why I recommend stating to use Google Chrome. Going to that link on the front page using Google Chrome will show something that could save a lot of time. Through that link on Google Chrome, you will see the two downloads(On and offline) for Java as you would on Firefox or Internet Explorer. However, it will actually state that the Online download is the x32 bit version and the offline download is the x64 bit version. So regardless if people had x64 bit Browser, they still may have used the online download pinning them with the 64 bit version. Just a thought to add. Thanks for the help <3 I'll enjoy this pack. :3
Hey Scuttles great texture pack ! Ive been using it since I first started, but i can't seem to get the WildGrass and WildCaves mod working. Ive read almost every single post about wildgrass/wildcaves and i still cant get it to work. I put the files in minecraft.jar but it still wont work. Help !!
Windows, assuming you have a 64-bit version, does come with 64 bit version of IE. This would be why there should be 2 IE icons in your start menu, and why there's a (64-bit) next to it, go figure. At any rate, after going to http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp and clicking on the Free Java Downloads (which really sounds alot like a spyware link) It'll become quite immediately present which browser you're using. If it doesn't say 64-bit, here's a hint, you're using the wrong one. As for browsers, most of them are 32 bit, as are most applications/games. Likewise, without any sort of prior knowledge, I'm gonna assume that the default chrome download is 32 as well.
