Amazing. I love this pack and it definitely is a great pack. One of the few packs I can stand to have on. Now when I switch to default it feels depressing. The best Texture pack I've ever seen. Definite diamonds :Diamond:.

I'm in the same boat.

The pumpkin face ist wrong since version 4.0 and ist wrong every time in all package. the jack o'latern face is ok I'm unhappy of this. It's the best of all Texturepacks.
The pumpkins are now actually more realistic in the fact that you won't find pre-carved pumpkins sitting in the middle of a field.

Wow! Nice! How long did that take to build?

This is by far my favourite texture pack so far
Thanks. =)

I had the wrong version before!
Well after downloading the right versions and remoinv/reinstalling Minecraft (and even watching the tutorial) it still crashes! I can at least now drag the High Res file into the textures folder and then I click "Done" but when I go to SP its still the default textures. I go back to that texture selector and then it freezes! >.<
-snip-
BTW I tried making anew level and loading an old one but crashes either way or doesn't have the high res pack!
----edit....again----
I noticed you said if running Windows 7 64bit you need Java 64bit. Well I uninstalled my Java, restarted the pc, installed the 64 bit version for Win 7, restarted again. But under the java program in the control panel it still says its 32 bit. >.< Maybe thats the issue.
Haha, sorry I haven't been around for this fiasco. =/
I would certainly put running in 32bit as a main problem with your 64bit Java. I think you stilled installed the 32bit Java. Try Googling "64bit Java download" and select the "filehippo" one. It's always worked for me. =)

For some reason, even after patching it with the Newest patcher It crashes whenever I try to play sp with it selected. Then It crashes every time I try to open minecraft.
What are your system specs?

Love the pack, but i was wondering if the computer i just ordered (To build btw) will run the x256 pack?
SPECS:
8 GB DDR3 1333mhz ram,
3.30 GHZ Hex core CPU (AMD Phenom II x6 1100T)
Nvidia GTX 460 - 1GB Video Memory
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Thanks in advance! oh and i love the new glowstone :smile.gif:
I agree with Grable on this one. You should be able to run this with ease. Just BE SURE to download 64bit Java as you have a 64bit computer. =)

That should probably be able to run it, it shouldn't affect the computer much. Hell i get the same FPS with the 128x as i do with default.
If not, the 128x is just as gorgeous <3
Scuttles, i have to say that the iron armor looks absolutely BADASS.
I spent quite a bit of time hand painting that helmet. I think it turned out really well. Next up this weekend is finishing off the gold/diamond. I'm not looking forward to the leather.
I do have to agree with the 128 being just as gorgeous. Almost no noticeable changes to the textures until you intentionally look at them up close.
Well I tried it that way, opening minecraft after I pasted over the texture zip. When I started the game and tried to select the texture pack, the game froze and crashed. Now it won't get past the logo. >.<
Maybe it is that Java issue. I will try that and see if it works then.

I would imagine that it is that Java issue. The 64bit won't crash like that. It takes a fairly large bit of memory to load up the textures initially and that's where people crash often.
After the Java 64 install it now works! ::woohoo::
While the textures are all updated, I don't have that tall grass or bushy looking thing like in the pictures though. >.<
Are you using the wildgrass mod? Also, using the "client" and "modloader terrain" folders of wildgrass allow you to bypass the wildgrass download. The "modloader" requires the modloader in addition to the wildgrass download.
Great pack! Thank you!
Only one thing: according to my tastes ofc, smooth stone is too dark and "dirty" (though very realistic).
One reason i'm saying this is that most packs have "clean" and lighter smooth stone (than, let's say, cobblestone) and it would be nicer imo between builders, if there wasn't that much of a difference between packs.
I'm having the same issue as Assassin X. However, I'm sure I've done everything correctly. I tried downloading the 256 for the record;
My Steps:
1. Went to Control Panel to check out bit OS
2. Followed Java link on front post and downloaded the online download for supposedly 64 bit
3. Downloaded x256 pack.
4. Downloaded HD Patcher 2.0.1(From the link), ran it, patched
5. Placed the texture pack in the texture pack folder
6. Ran minecraft, crash at logo.
ok so i have talked to my friend about it since he uses the baleria texture pack and i have shown him the post i made concerning the double tools/weapons and he says it also happens to him, imo i think its the HD patcher that does this.
still working on it, but faaaaaar too long about 2 weeks so far working 3-5 hrs a day, the obsidian took FOREVER to collect. But it looks so much nicer with your pack

A double resolution texture pack that stays faithful to the original Minecraft textures.

Its bugging me about that low quality stalagmites and stuff.

Well if all packs looked the same... :/
Sad thing though, is that this guy doesn't think that MediaFire is AFTER Ad.Fly because Ad.Fly is to provide moneys.
Can't wait for you to get MediaFire Pro!

I know why it's doing this.
Short version: ERROR ID10T
Longer version: Modloader and Bettergrass are incompatible unless you use the compatibility patch.

Maybe I can try it out on my mom's computer while she's at work, not on this 1.5GB RAM, GeForce FX 5200, single-core 2.16GHz piece of dung.
What I'm saying is, it looks great!
