Here's a picture I took while in my server. Your title is outdated (the textures have changed), perhaps this could replace it:
-Snip due to amazingly high res-
Hey Archer, very nice screenshot and you are right about the pic being a bit outdated, but it was the original 128x128 pack screen. I'll most certainly use your pic on the main screen to update it for the 256x256 addition.
It seems like you're changing your avatar every other week. XD
In other news the 256x256 pack is coming out of beta status with the next update. This should fix most, if not all graphical issues within the terrain.png. (I'm working on other things later)
I like to keep things fresh. And I'm glad to hear about it coming out of beta, it's been a great texture pack.
Hehe, that's good to know.
Hey, could you do me a favor? I need a second opinion on this water texture that I created with that program. It's moved along extremely nicely so something has to be terribly wrong since the entire water issue has been train wreck to train wreck.

It is much better than the current trash that I threw in there. Sorry if anyone hated it as much as I did. =(
Sadly, minecraft does have it's limitations and the flowing water into the still water is a consequence. I'm positive how I can fix it to become a little more seamless in that respect without hurting the eyes with thousands of waves. (Lesson learned)
This is a brief video of what the water will look like next update. (Plus or minus a few tweaks)
Sorry it's obnoxiously dark... You know how Youtube is. =(
OMG! Thanks! This is so good! Very good job man! 4 U :biggrin.gif:
It works so Good! Since my CPU Lags alot on the 256 pack, i use the 128 pack, still realistic as ever!
Thanks! :wink.gif:
I'll be making some huge changes on the 128x128 pack within the next week

It's working pretty well it seems. I'll have to accent the reflections which is a pain in the ass to do with transparencies. =\
I'm currently working on some major biome changes. Hopefully I can get this wild grass to be reasonable with it. This is involving rain forest plants growing in the rain forest areas, tall tan grass in the savanna areas and grass with wild flowers growing the taiga highlands.
This is very ambitious and hopefully it comes together.
Looks great except...my computer, which can run Mirror's Edge at max, can't run this texture pack?? This gives MC a look circa Deus Ex (which is great, I love the game's graphics)...and I doubt Deus Ex is more graphic-intensive than Mirror's Edge. Any fixes?
EDIT: Using 256x256 with no other mods.

My computer can't run ME on max, nowhere near, in fact. XD
Computer specs and 32/64 OS are helpful. If you have a 64 bit system, it would be beneficial to install 64 bit java to run this because it could take more ram than the 32 bit java can handle.
Something odd happened to my computer today. It was extremely laggy, but after a restart it ran smooth. It was strange, maybe you have a similar issue?
Another thing to look at is did you installed it correctly and or what mods are you running?

I have 64-bit, and I know my Java and whatnot is all good.
I'll try a reboot, but it'll have to wait until I shut my computer off for the night and then turn it on tomorrow.
Besides the pack, I have no other mods.
I'm also trying the 126 pack.
EDIT: The 126 pack works fine, so I'll stick with that for tonight, then try the 256 tomorrow.

Okay so I'm having some trouble with this pack (256x256) I followed the instructions for installing properly, but when I go to run Minecraft it takes 2 minutes to get to the Multiplayer/Single Player screen and sometimes just goes unresponsive and crashes and then theres other times where I can get to the Multiplayer or SinglePlayer it just crashes as soon as I get into the world
Exactly everything I did:
Downloaded the pack
Opened Xau's patcher, made sure it was 256x256 then clicked patch, closed it
Put ModLoader into my Minecraft.Jar
Added MrMods better glass, and grass
Added WildGrass
then opened the pack in Winrar and put it in the Minecraft.jar
Am I doing something wrong :c?
I really want this pack to work, the 128x128 just isn't as good as the 256x256

If you're downloading the new wildgrass, that could potentially cause that problem.
As far as I can tell, the wildgrass isn't really wanting to be compatible right now. He's having trouble making up his mind. :sleep.gif:

That's a link to the original 8.5 which was highly stable and didn't have that modloader bs that I don't understand how to use.
In lighter news, when the 256x256 comes out of beta I will have insane realistic biome support for wildgrass. I've been making alot of progress which is very strange for me, lol
Introducing... The rain forest biome. the color isn't quite perfect, but the foilage adds huge amounts of depth.
I know you are trying to implement a "biome specific" grass but is it implemented in the current downloads of the packs? Everywhere I go all the grass is a bland greyish color that makes it look dead. Was just wondering if this could be the reason, though it seems to be everywhere. could you help me?

I'm not sure why all of your grass is bland and dead. It's suppose to have a little color to it. =(
The "biome specific" grass hasn't been fully implemented because I want to work out the bugs and make sure I don't have ferns growing in the desert or oddities such as that. The update will be for the 256x256 when it is released, but will eventually be fixed into the 128x128. I'm also working on a 64x64 version to allow lower end computers to be able to run this.
Best Texture pack out there. one problem.. the pack goes grainy when i move if there alot of smooth stone and cobble.(On the 256x256 Pack. WOOOP love it as i get no lag aswell) Is there anyway to have a blur abit ? so it doesnt look so grainy :biggrin.gif: ??

This is probably my most liked improvement ever of your texture pack (besides the saturation changes).
kind of technical, but I should let you know. The redstone dust texture you have in the pack shows two redstone wires. The thing is, electricity in minecraft is DC & two wires would be AC. I won't bother explaining unless you care to hear it. The important thing is that in minecraft, electricity is "one way" and only needs one wire.

Wow, I've never noticed that before.
I'll have change that into one larger wire (Originals were from another pack. xD)
Thanks guys (possibly gals) for your support in making this pack. Expect the new biome update sometime really soon. And by that, I mean today.
Hehe, that's good to know.

If you would like, rename this to "custom_water_still"
http://i.imgur.com/lh3Qs.png?7017
And this one to "custom_water_flowing"
http://i.imgur.com/8jFa2.png?5154
Put these into the .zip or .jar depending on how you installed it.
Again, these are looking fairly beast as of right now. The flowing is insanely seamless. @[email protected]
I'm also working on a high res lava.
It looks better than the one that's currently up (woo!), but sometimes it doesn't feel "flowing" in situations like this:
Still, I like it. Just brighten up the color a bit, add detail, and then it will be finished!

I'm thinking the colors are too much and needs a bit of a saturation fix.
This is before the addition of biome specific grass. I'm still hoping that works out.

Yes, there is a mod that allows depth of field and a few more options

I don't know alot about the mod, but the results are pretty amazing.
