Actually, can you just use a service that doesn't have a downloader? I'm not installing something made by the bamboo corporation just to download a minecraft texture pack. That would be insanity. Why no, megaupload, etc?
Yes, the mediafire links are asking us to install an iLividSetupV1.exe, not a texture pack.

Neither link requires a downloader, and the mediafire links download the texture packs just fine for me.

DANGEROUS.
Yeah, I don't like Adfly either... but what can ya do.
I fail so hard at installing these new Texture Packs using the MC Patcher. Either it won't go past the Mojang screen and stops responding OR it will randomly crash after right clicking in-game or randomly crash. :sad.gif: also the link doesn't work
ONE KEY NOTE WITH THE TEXTURE PACK AT HIGH RESOLUTIONS! The game does take TIME to load. I know that time is a lost concept on a lot of people, as well as patience. Just sit back and let the game load. It takes a good 20 seconds for me and I'm on a very high end PC. So if you're on something a bit mediocre, just give it the extra time it needs to boot everything up instead of freaking out about having to wait more than three seconds for anything in life to happen.
Just finished my last final of the semester. One more semester and I'm done school, but before that I get some well earned rest. Which means more progress on my stuff! =)

I hope so, really want bump mapping :tongue.gif:
Can we get a percentage of completion? D:
If you need someone to beta test, I'm your man.
I have a computer from Nasa too... basically... :wink.gif:... so that may help. lol.

HAHA sweet, yea I need to do a re-analysis of what was completed....If you want a run-down of where I was when I left off here it is:
I started out my work in GIMP to store the textures while using a BumpMap generator (like CrazyBump) to do pieces of each textures bit by bit. I finished about 10 textures (which are the results from the popular video). Then I switched over to Photoshop (cuz its nicer) which required a big port (took quite a while). I did quite a few textures in Photoshop when I realized that it apparently does alpha transparency in a way that GLSL doesn't like (or my version is screwed, but either way it wasn't cutting it). SO I need to reopen the GIMP file and find another Bumping generator, or re-activate my trial of crazybump). I have a few ideas in mind for bump mapping environments.
I'd estimate the progress is about 15%, but then again there were a lot of new textures added since I started. Of course have a better idea when I get moving again. Once I find a method that I can easily repeat and produces quality results like in the demo-vids the project will really start to take off again.
If i need any testers, I'll be sure to compile a package users can easily follow for installation.
To everyone:
It's been a rough day and dropbox has failed me. =(
Before I decide to burn my house down, I'm going kick back and browse my interwebs while answering questions.

You have an outdated patcher. Follow the link in the instructions and it should direct you to the proper one. =)

I don't really like iron and gold block texture. It shouldn't be rough and bumpy. I think it should look more like this:
-pics-
Since ingots have smooth and shiny texture and it would make sense if the blocks are smooth and shiny.
Interesting. I'll try softening them up and making them less rigid. ^^

Question for any of you using the 256 pack anyone experianced fps problems when using a mod that adds new blocks? ive noticed this in the past with things like industrial craft and having simular issue with plasma craft.
That's because the patcher is having to render 2 different resolutions as the same time and, unless I'm mistaken, it forces the lower resolutions up to the HD size that the pack is and causes many more textures to render at a high resolution. Thus... Lag.

You've been talked about alot the past few weeks actually. Everyone wants to know if the pack supports the bumpmapping like the video on the main page. I love your impressive work and eagerly await your release. ^^
As far as the updates:
I've changed around the stone textures and a few slight modifications to other textures.
