Personally, I quite like the new stone.
It's actually AMAZING.
Much better than the old one IMO.
And about including the old glass texture, it wasn't exactly 'complex'. I fail to see the problem with editing the new one back to the old one manually.
So kind of a silly request :S
That wasn't meant in any disrespect though, as simple as it was even the old glass was awesome :smile.gif:
I'll keep messing around with the glass texture to see if I can get something better. =)

It's not that I dislike the texture itself. It just repeats too obviously, and it's especially noticeable in the distance. Maybe it's to do with the contrast level. On a smaller scale the texture look nice, but because I have a lot of big structures on my map, it shows up more.

It has been brought up and I've been working on some smooth transitions. My only concern is that the texture will be doubled in size when it's done so it may take up more memory. =\

Here's a few pics of the "wild caves" mod that someone showed me a few days ago.
For some reason it makes my sidegrass grow as gray. Anyone know why or did I just install it incorrectly?

Whenever I force AA or AF in Catalyst Control Panel it DOES make it super smooth, but it also makes outlines around all of the blocks and torches...
TBH I'd rather have the noise :S

I made a mod that adds new blocks for your 128x textures (I used your rock one for background of new ores)
Then I noticed you changed them.
I thought they must be nicer than the old ones.
But the 128x rock texture is now worse than before. It was better quality before.
Would you please keep the old rock texture for your 128x? the 256x ones look great though, so that was an upgrade.
I didnt check the 64x one.
What do u think?

Very impressive! I saw it on the Yogscast and wow, that's amazing. I normally don't use texture packs, but I'm considering getting this one. I probably won't since the monsters are all realistic too (so scawy D:), but man, that is really, really good!!

In Minecraft, 3 things are certain; Day, Night and Cobblestone.
I'd try a fresh install, patch it with the new 2.1 patcher, then place the texture pack into the texture pack folder. Also, I can't remember, but are you even selecting the pack in the texture packs menu?

Yea, the exact same things happen when I force it on CCC. I'd imagine a mod to support AF wouldn't be too difficult. Just a polish up of a few graphical errors.

The textures for the stone is going to stay for a while. Personally, I love them alot more and they work extremely well with the wild caves mod that I'm putting in pretty soon. =)
You could just use the old stone from previous versions and just paste it over every update.

That Yogscast was fairly... Creepy. I actually played that map immediately after watching it and I was killed by a creeper that knocked me down that massive hole that you were "suppose" to scale down. =(
But, yes, as the user posted after you. If you want, open the .zip and delete the entire folder called "mobs"

I always thought the very high resolution packs left a very distasteful copy-paste feel to them and thought you myself that "I could do that a hell of alot better". So I tried and it became very popular. Still shocks me to this day. =)

No clue what Wild Caves is, but Wild Grass and Sidegrass overwrite each other, you can only have one or the other.

Wildgrass is not compatible with the side grass in the patcher. It's one or the other at the moment. The choice is yours.

It's basically the wild grass mod for caves with stalagmites/stalactites growing on the ceiling and floor.

I'm not sure that I can slow down the fire without losing the effect of being a realistic fire textures. Fire in real life is very fast like the first texture. Ever watch a house burn to the ground?

Someone try out this new texture for the fire and tell me if it's slow enough.

Xau's patcher won't work unless you are running on the 1.4 version of minecraft still.
