New rain was alot less mosoon and a bit more rain, still gives off the feeling of being wet so that's pretty good.
Vegetation also started working on bukkit again, so the jungle grass looks pretty decent even if it's a bit different than the traditional grass. Does add alot of foilage to cover the otherwise flat grasslands.
New stone's quite a bit of the similiar colour as cobble, which I like blends alot better at far and still distinguishable at med and short range.
New glass pattern is pretty decent, limits visibility a little but does add a bit of class. Still not too big a fan of the material texture, does give off a bit of that wrought iron look, feels a bit rough up close but if that's what you're going for I suppose nothing wrong with it.
Dirt also looks quite a bit less like chocolate which does help curb the temptation of trying to eat dirt.
4.0.8 was perfect for me. The new stone texture seems very repetitive with 4.2.2, sadly. If you could somehow make it blend in better then I might change my mind... possibly. Glass looks awesome though, very stylish.
This is definitely my fave texture pack out of all the ones available. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for the constructive comment. =D
I'm not quite finished with the glass texture and I'm not quite sure where the actual texture will be when it's finished.
Lol, atleast we're on the same page with the dirt. XD

I personally hate the new glass texture.
Could you release an alternate version of terrain.png with the old one (no lines in the middle)?
If you still have the previous version you can put it in yourself. =)

I guess I'm a little fond of the new texture for stone because it was entirely hand drawn and edited. Many hours of work. =/
Glass does spice things up a bit and I'm enjoying it. ^^

if i change the java heap size to 2048 will it fix the problem even if im on a win xp 32bit?
I'm not entirely sure about XP, but you could always try. =)

How much RAM do you have? On XP, it won't be more than 4 GB - and 2048 is half of that.
Remember, you want to leave some RAM available for the computer's other functions - background processes, the OS kernel itself, etc. - or the crash will just happen for a different reason.

Personally, I quite like the new stone.
It's actually AMAZING.
Much better than the old one IMO.
And about including the old glass texture, it wasn't exactly 'complex'. I fail to see the problem with editing the new one back to the old one manually.
So kind of a silly request :S
That wasn't meant in any disrespect though, as simple as it was even the old glass was awesome :smile.gif:
It's not that I dislike the texture itself. It just repeats too obviously, and it's especially noticeable in the distance. Maybe it's to do with the contrast level. On a smaller scale the texture look nice, but because I have a lot of big structures on my map, it shows up more.
Great work though, seriously, you give MC a face-lift!
Some thing is not right. The 256 version of the is pack worked perfectly fine for me when minecraft was in the 1.5 version but for the past week since i patched it to the 1.5_1 version the game keeps crashing and giving me the out of memory error. I know this is not the real reason as before the new minecraft/minecraf tpatcher updates broke it i had the Java heap size set from 512 to 2gigs. I Have followed the steps to install the texture pack and the patcher to the letter.
here is my system setup
AMD athlon 64x2 6400 3.2 ghz
2gigs ram
32 bit win7
Radeon 4850 with 1gig onbourd video ram
update:
Ok with some work I managed to get the mod to work, but i had to lower the heap size to 869 in the patcher If i set it any higher it crashes.
I still don't understand whats going on but if i had to guess I would say that the mcpatcher is buggy and does not like to play nice with the mc1.5_1 update and my current system

Wow... seriously?
You can't give Java 2 Gigs if you only have 2 Gigs...
Your problem is you are trying to suffocate your operating system...
And your operating system is stronger than Java.
Java attacks OS with Pillow.
OS fights back.
OS succeeds.
Java gets K.O'd.
Minecraft crashes.
yeah i know, but it worked before the new update. that and when you set the java heap size you set a min and a max. So at the moment the max size set in the java console is 2gigs while the max set in the patcher is 560m. I find that its odd that it maxes out memory and crashes now when it didn't in the past.

Heya, this pack looks amazing and like a must have but thats the problem, I'm running a 64-bit architecture machine and i followed all your advice to the letter (especially the quote) and im still getting a black screen, i have the mcpatcher dump log:
Launching C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
java -cp C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/minecraft.jar;C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl.jar;C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl_util.jar;C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/jinput.jar; -Djava.library.path=C:\Users\Systemus\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\natives -Xmx2048M -Xms512M net.minecraft.client.Minecraft
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Minecraft exited with status 1
Now i haven't a clue what i'm looking at there im not very apt with java, but i dont get why i keep getting black screens... help?

Loving the new update, stone is just amazing in the caves. My only suggestion (and I'm sure it's probably been brought up before) would be to slow down the new custom fire a bit. I do like the artwork, but it looks just a bit too fast. I realize this is a new feature in the patcher, so I have full confidence you'll have this sorted soon enough. =D

I agree 100%. It is quite a bit fast. Other than that, I love it!

Question~ I just enabled MipMapping via optifog, it made my game beautiful and I realize its probably not compatible but the water seems to mess up rather badly. Any way around this?

Not unless scuttles were to make a compatible version.

Alright thanks. This texture pack looks extremely busy without it though. Makes my eyes hurt. Unless I am doing something incorrectly.

First off. Why only 32 bit win 7?
Second, you need more RAM. win 7 is a bit hard on resources. CPU on the otherhand should be fine as should the GFX card. (Not proficient with ATI) the one gig of onboard memory is whats saving i would say.

Mipmapping in Optifog is completely incompatible with MCPatcher, so I fail to see how you have custom textures enabled with Mipmapping at all...
I'm not using a 64bit OS as at the moment I only have 2gigs of RAM so I wouldn't get any benefit, that and I play a lot of older games which wont run on 64 bit OS. Not that it really matters as within the next year or so whenever I get the cash I plan on completely rebuilding my system.
