I'm having some difficulties installing this (I've tried both 256x and 128x). I've run the MC-patcher-thingy you've linked to in the OP, and placed both texture pack versions in the "texturepack" folder in .minecraft.

Any tips?
did you choose it in the mods and texturepacks menu in game?
sorry...just don't know what the issue is..need more info
Relatively well, the CPU is back in green now.
As far as I could tell the downloads were running fine all night though, yet the website itself still refuses to load.
Mind = Blown
CPANEL loads fine now too, where-as last night it was running slow along WITH the website.
Now it's just the website that's down.
It's only the main site too, all of the sub directories work fine.
Weird ****.
Possibly my Wordpress install got corrupted.
EDIT: I guess this gives me the motivation to uninstall wordpress and either add some sort of actual functional website or just an epic 404 page.
Alot of stuff that makes almost no sense to me. =D
Joking aside, it seems like it's holding fairly well, but takes down only the main site which is really something strange. =/

Every time I try and download these files the download stops at 3-10mb. Is there any chance you could put a new mirror up for the highest reso one?
Thanks, and looking great!
Known issue for some web browsers and slower internet connections. I'd stick with the Mediafire links if you keep having issues with the downloads.

same with me here,
i have Win7 32bit with a Dualcore, 4gb ram
128 works with me though... it just needs to load for a minute...
The x256 really isn't much different from the x128. The biggest difference you'll notice is the items are more pixelated in appearance with the x128.

32 Bit can only hold like 2 GB :s
64 Bit can go up to 16GB depending on how good it is.
Theoretically 64bit can go up to several Terabytes of memory. The limitation comes into factor on how good your computer makes use of your memory.

I installed the 256x pack and it did not work at all. Just used basic textures. Grabbed the 128x and it works fine.
I'm using Windows 7 x64 with 6gb ram.
Amazing looking pack by the way. Saw it on the Yogscast and immediately came here to switch!
That seems to be a corrupted .zip. Redownload the pack and see if that helps fix it. You have well over the minimum requirements. =)

I'm so confused... what am I supposed to take a picture of?

Just to let you know one of your downloads for the 256 pack does not work so you should take that down. I got the 256 first download and nothing worked so I then got the one labeled direct download and noticed the file size was much bigger and that one works so the other must be missing stuff.
I'm having trouble with the 256x version too. I'm using windows 7 64bit with 8 gigabytes of ram. I also have a 6 core processor. When I select the texture patch it crashes my game and I can't get back into minecraft until I delete the texture pack. 64x and 128x work perfectly fine, however.
I assume this 256x pack doesn't work with 32bits operational systems or with less than 4gb.
Depending on your processor, it could be a yes or no. Just try it out and, if not, then move to a lower resolution. =)

You just need to install 64bit Java and that will fix all of your issues. The 32bit Java on a 64bit OS is just a no go.

The downloads are fine. It's mainly the web browser and/or their slow internet that corrupts the files. A simple redownload would have fixed the issue, but you seemed to have got it working with the other. ;D

I don't understand...
He said the long ad version didn't work... but the direct download did.... huh... they both go to the same link...
I can try removing that...but I would really wish to find a way to live with it.
Testing now.
Edit- Nope, even without it, it still crashes. How did you install the LB photo realism, did you force install, or use HD patcher, then drag n drop into folder?
Edit-
Weird, I forgot which folder I was suppose to force install the files into. HD Patcher seems to edit the minecraft-1-501.jar folder, and not minecraft.jar one. Ill try to force install in there.
Doesnt work with that one, ill retry minecraft.jar
HERE is how to fix the black screen problem. After a little bit of reading and google and stuff like that I fixed my 256 crashing error.
ONLY DO THESE STEPS IF YOU ARE ON A 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM!!!
1. Version of java.
1a. By default windows 7 64 bit auto downloads java 32 bit. Why? Because browsers run in 32 bit and most java applications are web applications, thus the 32 bit default.
2a. To resolve this issue go to HERE and choose the 64 bit for your respective operating system. Install, rejoice, eat cake.
2. Now! For the easy stuff. Download the HD texture patcher that is linked in the first page of this thread.
2a. inside the HD Patcher go to the Options tab. Find the area under "General options" that says "Java Heap Size (MB)" Change this field from "1024" (What mine was defaulted to) To "2048" (exactly double) and patch your minecraft.
3. ?????
3a. ????????
4. Profit!
Please, please, PLEASE make a tutorial video... I've spent 2 hours slaving over this trying to get it to work. I can run 256x packs, i have a 64 bit computer with 64 bit java...
Why make such a good mod only to have it be almost unusable due to the difficulty of patching it?

a few more questions:
Would this work in conjunction with:

The one I am really intersted in with yours in the water colorign with biome, but all 3 plus yours would be nice.
EDIT:
In one of the pics in the OP, I saw entire blocks made out of grass, is that part of this too?
EDIT 2:
In th evideo in the OP, he used viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=128043 too, would you recomend I use both?
Im using three mods, (all without mod loader)
WildGrass
TooManyItems
BetterFences
At this point, i already used HD Patcher and ready to go.
I loaded up minecraft and it works fine without the texture pack.
When I try to install it (via texturepack folder and force instal)l, it doesn't work. The game loads, then crashes about 30 seconds after.
I used the HD Patch before I installed any mods aswell.
Any help?
Edit- Im trying to install the x256 pack onto my x64 bit OS.

It gets to the white Mojang screen, then quits.
