Not sure if this has been brought up before, but every time I attempt to place any block in the world, the game freezes and immediately quits. I have done many reinstalls with mods and without mods in addition to this texture pack and the problem still occurs.
Side note: I previously had another HD pack before switching to this beauty of a design and that one had the same problem. Could 1.5_01 have an HD texture pack bug or is there something I'm missing altogether?
EDIT: I installed this using an outdated patcher. Nevermind this post whilst I try again.
EDIT: Works perfectly. Probably the best HD pack out there to date. Keep up the good work!
I'll remove the direct links when I get home later, assuming Ad Fly is back up.
// I suppose there is no use in removing these links since Scuttles quoted my post...
Feel free to use them I guess, but if you do enjoy this texture pack use the Ad Fly links in the OP to support Scuttles.
(Assuming Ad Fly is up)
1. This texture pack is awesome... I must say that I am impressed with the ability of the artist to put up with incompetence and ignorant fools as well as continuing to develop this.
2. I have 96GB of Ram... yeah you heard me... I game on a dual socket motherboard! YEAH EPEEN WINRAR!

good thing he has fanboys helpers to deal with it eh?

I'm not sure if you're fixing this, but could you fix the rain? I can barely see two blocks in front of me and it makes moving in the rain very difficult. could you make it thinner so you can see more easily?
i downloaded the 64x64 version, but it doesnt work. it just waits, then crashes and them i have to drag the .zip file out of the minecraft folder. do i still need to patch it?
Yes, anything above x16 needs the patcher. I think the x32 is an exception, but still will have bugs.

I am nearing completion of the main parts of my pack!
Sorry you haven't heard from me in a while, and thanks [HUGE thanks] to grugsy for helping me speed up my animations. I had ran through close to 30 different animations before and was doing the copy paste one frame at a time.
I am going to link to the OP of LB pack on my post when I finish up, and I will give credit to your pack for what I didn't do, but I do not know the respective authors of certain elements.
I have been nearing completion for a while now, but all these dang updates keep putting me behind!
I shall let you know when it will be ready to release the first version!
I can't wait. =D
You really have been gone for a long time. XD
I'll remove the direct links when I get home later, assuming Ad Fly is back up.
Interestingly enough. I went down while I was sleeping and was back up when I woke up. XD
Adfly is now paying me double the rates, though! I might have to put out an update to exploit such income, lol

slight problem with blocks with the modloader terrain version seems to be affecting the sides of the dirt blocks with grass on them. not sure if its a texture pack issue or mod reported it to the mod creator as well
-image-
Hmmmm... Yea, try posting that in the wildgrass thread. I was unaware that it even worked with the current version of Minecraft, but that also could be the issue. =)

Main post has an alternate. =)

Great work in this texture pack, dude!
One of the best ones I've seen, and I have been using it for roughly a week, and I'm very satisfied with it.
One suggestion, though: The rain is awfully heavy, and you might want to reduche, if possible :smile.gif:
Main post has a lighter rain download that will be implemented into the actual pack very soon.

Hey, i become a Outofmemory and so i need more Space for Java , so how i can increase it ? I have 4 Gb DDr2
In the Mainpost is nothink so can you help me please !?
Lol scuttles, for more cash, Just split the pack in two parts, If you want part 1, You need to click on this adfly link, part two, same thing :biggrin.gif:
Has anyone else had problems with this texture mod not reskinning mobs and/or items?
I apologize if this has already been addressed, I couldn't find it when I looked.
Jeah thanks but, with McPatcher i can in Minecraft yet, but the game crashed by Mojang if i start it normal ...
so this come
so i run minecraft with 512m a. 1024m is it enough !!? Or i must adding more !?
-error-
Well, 512m won't be able to run any texture pack above x32 so that may be an issue. It seems like your error was somewhere along the lines of an improperly patched game. Make sure it's a fresh install before patching.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. I think this has to do something along the lines of the web browser not downloading everything that it should from the mirror. Try the mediafire links and report back if you have any trouble.

New dirt looks cool, has a very earthly feeling to it. Anything brighter / more colorful sounds good to me, I always thought the dirt looked a little bit dark, especially since I play without wildgrass, so everything looked quite muddy until 4.0 came along (which I think also has slightly brighter dirt and improved grass).
While you're at it, I think tree leaves could also benefit from a more vibrant texture. Just so they don't look too out of place in comparison with the ground...and summer trees naturally tend to have quite bright leaves anyway. I'd adjust the tree leave colors on some warmer biomes and make birch tree leaves more colorful as well (right now they're a bit gray). Conifer tree leaves are fine atm though.
Wild idea, why not make a colorful (/fantasy?) version of this pack as well, with just a little more saturation on everything while keeping the original feel? :tongue.gif: Or actually, can I do that myself by just opening terrain.png and adjusting its saturation?
Thanks. I'll tweak the dirt just a bit more and I'll call it good enough. =)
I've been messing around with the leaves and vibrancy, but due to the high graininess without the support of a texture filtering, it always makes it obnoxious looking from a distance. =\
I won't care that you make personal changes to the pack as long as you don't post it as "your" work.
Although...
I have debated on making a second texture pack once this becomes more finished over the summer. We'll see what happens and what the majority of people want. So far I'm not entirely sure where I want it to go.

Clearly I'm just clueless. That solution that you provided for me worked flawlessly. Thank you!
This texture pack is amazing. I'll be sure to spread it among some of my other friends who don't know about it.
Absolutely fantastic work :smile.gif:
Wow this sucks...I can't get this texture pack to work anymore..It worked before, but it all of a sudden won't. I have already deleted my minecraft.jar file, forced update for a frech copy of it, exited of of minecraft, patched it, then open minecraft back up and go to mods and texture packs..I select the texture pack and wait for it to load and then crash. Then when I try to relaod minecraft, it crashes at the mojang screen. Then I unpatch it, etc. I have tried it many times, but it does the same thing. The 256x worked before =\

Many people have experienced this exact issue, but I'm fairly clueless when it comes to resolving it. What I can recommend is trying out 64bit Java and/or reallocating memory to Java.

The file for 256x is damaged and doesn't work with minecraft.
Download using the Mediafire mirror. Phantom is trying to figure out why sometimes the downloads won't work correctly.
What happened to the paintings in this texture pack?! I used to have beautiful Van Gogh paintings and lovely images of sandy beaches in my house. Now I have incredibly ugly old-worldy paintings of country houses and huge religious iconography. You've completely ruined this texture pack for me.
I used to really love this pack but I can't use it in its present form, those paintings went from gorgeous to horrendous.

There ARE ways to embed viruses into images...
Sounds to me that's what our Mr. 32GB of RAM (LOLOL) did.
Thankfully most AV's block this specific strand, so it's cool.
