Im not really familiar with download sites so i cant help there! I had a quick look around seen a few things but i will wait until the updated pack is out and see if they have been sorted.
I just uploaded the pack and put in a download link, lol
Keep in mind this is still in beta form, I just want opinions to perfect the appearance of it.
I realy like your pack, its great. The only problem I have with it is, that I cant play longer then 1 minute. Then I get a black screen and my game crashes. (Not a Java error, an Windows error) :'-(
Have this problem in both packs (128 and 256)
I dont think my hardware is to low. I've got a GTX285 with 1GB, 4GB Ram and a Intel C2Q 4x3,2GHz
I really can't help you with the windows error because that borders with a possible instability in the system files. Have you updated your video card/display adapter?
Yes, my Drivers and my Java is up to date. Look at my other post above yours. I added a screenshot.
Oh ok, what mods, if any, are installed? It seems that your java is dumping too much memory and crashes which would cause that error.
Another thing is that if you are running in a 32/64 bit operating system, you may want to uninstall the current java and reinstall the appropriate 32/64 bit java.
I have Windows 7 Proffesional 64Bit, and the only thing I have installed is a Minimap mod (This -> klick)
Okay, let me try to reinstall java. Then I will post again if it worked or not :smile.gif:
That mod won't cause the game to crash like that (I hope), but other than a reinstall of Java, I'm out of ideas at the moment. Hopefully that works for you.

To use brighter textures is a very bad idea, why you might ask ?
Ok its like this, when the shaderpacks gets more stable and bloom is standard all you are going to see is WHIIIIITE
i acctually tested this allready by trying to got lens GLOW flares on the tourches and was forced to change allother textures to -under 160 limunocity to be able to see.
One more note, the textures are fine IT IS the lighting that DOES NOT exist.
minecraft does not use a single realtime light.
Please dont make brighter textures, for those who wants bright just add the glsl shader and pump up the bloom over 0.3
Not everyone uses bloom and to have the audacity to ask not for darker textures just so you won't have too much glow is selfish. If it looks too bright, then don't use it and find another texture pack (or just turn down the glow).

Reason for that error was because of an attempt to patch over an existing texture pack. Having a clean install of the game before patching will fix this.
More information is under "common errors" if you want to read up on in more detail. viewtopic.php?t=46173

I am working on revamping the entire terrain.png for a very subtle increase in contrast/vibrancy. As for as I can tell this creates a better image and doesn't glow like the sun is inside your eyeballs.

Do you think you might make a modernized version of this tex pack? Its really cool, I like how nice everything looks, but I love building citys in minecraft which means I use moderncraft because of the glowstone and cinderblock retexes.

Ack I can't get the texure pack working with BG+BL and wildgrass.
BG+BL and WildGrass works fine.
Texture Pack and BG+BL works fine.
However when I try to use WildGrass with the texture pack I get past the Mojang logo then just get a black screen and not responding. Doesn't that mean some sort of compatibility issue?
Heres what I do:
Download and patch your texture pack.
Patch MrMods on top. All works fine up to this point.
Download WildGrass for BG+BL and copy all the files from its .zip folder and paste them into minecraft.jar, this must be the stage causing the error, are there any files from WildGrass I should be avoiding adding in? Am I adding them to the wrong place? Gah once I've figured how to get these 3 working together I'm sorted :sad.gif:.
Yes, the terrain.png from the wild grass needs to be ignored when placing them into the .jar. Hope that helps.
well the only probs i see is wood plank texture isnt lined up properly and is grey. also the dirt/grass blocks grass is lighter on the side than the tops of grass blocks.
Personal gripes:
Sand: texture looks nice at the coast but doesnt suit desert enviroment as its watermarked!
Stone: to dark Makes mining alot harder (that might have been your intention)
Clay: Is A brown red but drops white clay item (but i take it you still have to do the item recoloring)
Other than that looks like a great pack hope some of my feedback helps!
What do you mean about the wood not being lined up properly? I just checked and It's tiling well unless you mean the bottom board being that small sliver which is a quick and easy fix
Gripes:
Sand was an only 128 texture that I found and It's been the only one I've thought fit well.
Stone: Dark was the intention and I'm currently working on a vibrancy which will enhance the stone without losing the effect.
Clay: Lol, didn't realize that. Thanks for the find and yea I haven't got around to touching the items what so ever.

I am working on revamping the entire terrain.png for a very subtle increase in contrast/vibrancy. As for as I can tell this creates a better image and doesn't glow like the sun is inside your eyeballs.
And I won't stop you. :wink.gif:
Well that's not good. Is it just my pack causing these problems or MC in general?
Another thought, did you install the appropriate hd texture patcher for the pack?
I greatly appreciate your dedication, I'm confident that this is going to be awesome.
If you're looking for a name (Photo Realism is awesome, but it might be better as a description of the texture pack then as a name), here are some I've come up with. Feel free to use whatever you like, it's up to you (or you could keep the original name):
1. PhoReal (This name was made completely on accident, combination of "For Real" and "Photo Realism")
2. RainReal
3. Nature (Seeing as how your texture pack is the most realistic one on the entire forum)
4. Exposé (Sounds fancy)
5. Beyond Belief
6. Surpassion (Combination of "surpassed" and "passion")
These are just some that come to mind.
I think I'll keep the name as for the sake of not confusing anyone. ^^
On the vibrancy subject, I've made some progress.
vanilla tree, dirt, and grass.
Added vibrancy (this is a very rough outline of what I'm doing with things)
This compensates for the lack of bump mapping and any form of shading to an extent.

Yes, the terrain.png from the wild grass needs to be ignored when placing them into the .jar. Hope that helps.
I PM'ed him so we'll see what becomes of that. I'm pretty interested in doing something like that since people keep bringing it up. :wink.gif:
Thanks and yes the little details count big time which is basically all this pack is about. Details. =)
If you had gone back a few posts, you would have realized that the colors are being worked on and made brighter.
Yeah, I'm sure he appreciates your feedback. And all of these bumps.
