Just wondering, has all the flickering on semi-transparent blocks as shown in the video been fixed by now?
Flickering? Link me please. If it's Phantom's GFX test, That happens to me when I put it on max

Im sleep deprived. 8:30AM here, Been up since 5PM Yesterday.
The texture pack looks amazing however I haven't had the pleasure of using it because It doesn't work, I followed the installation instruction but still no luck, I'm currently running minecraft 1.5_01 I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me figure out what is wrong. Thanks for your time hope tho hear from you soon.
We'd love to help you, but we'll need more information before we can even guess what's wrong.
Tell us a bit about your computer (Operating system, RAM/CPU/Video Card) ; what's the version nbumber of the patcher you used, and most importantly, what is happening?
"It doesn't work" is not specific enough to assist - please be more detailed. Thanks.

that is what happens when I click on your 256 version of the texture pack in the minecraft mods n texture packs window. it is grayed out even though i have no mods and am using the
[1.5_01 compat.] MCPatcher HD fix 2.0 beta4
as soon as I try to click and select the texture pack MC crashes
edit: also im running win 7 ultimate x64, 4gb of ram, and a good video card. i can play crysis 2 at highest settings so im pretty sure i can handle minecraft at 256x256
256x file has only one file in it misc. The download jumps from 4mb to completed.
128x works fine. 256 just needs to be reloaded.
256 is fine, it's on your end.

Okay... so i totally love this pack and im using 128x128 withhout any lag.
But.. What's with this Rain?! I can't see trough at all and its making me lag like crazy.
I know it has to be a realistic pack, but this amount of rain is just overdoing it...
Reallife?!? Who needs this? This texture pack is much better :tongue.gif:
Lol, thanks. XD

I put up an alternate rain texture. I underestimated the rain and it ended up becoming quite overwhelming at times.

Do you take mod texturing requests?
Not yet. I mostly do the mods that I think benefit this pack greatly such as wilgrass. =)

Oddly enough, being able to run Crysis at any setting means absolutely nothing to Minecraft. The 256x256 will actually compete in computing demands with it, but with different aspects of your computer. Minecraft is run directly of off Java (Good or bad) and the only things that matter are RAM/VRAM and your processor.
On to your question. Since you have a 64bit system, download 64bit Java. This should fix 99% of any problems relating to minecraft crashes.

I got the texture pack to work using the texture folder by following the instructions, but I can't get wild grass to work. I put the wild grass files into your texture pack before putting it into the texture folder.
Wildgrass is not compatible with the latest Minecraft version so it won't work with any texture packs currently.

Hello, I installed this, nice beatiful, gorgeous etc. Texture pack. It looks fantastic. Works perfect, But there is a But. Do the wooden steps get black? I use TooManyItems mod. A Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Minecraft 1.5_01. Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz 256 MB VRam 2 GB ram. Thanks.
-Hrachya D.
Yea, the steps are a rendering issue with 1.5. It should get fixed sometime soon, hopefully.

I tested out the rain fix with the 256 pack think the orginal was better as the water droplets look a bit cartoony.
I think the reason he changed the water is because it was harder to see. Not sure if this is correct, but I think its right. Keep the older one if you like it -.^
Hmm... I haven't really considered the new texture to be "cartoony". But, yes, I changed the old texture due to the vision being extremely difficult for some.

I'll send a PM to the author of this texture pack so he/she can maybe make a sidenote of this fix. If you have an ATI Video card, are trying to use the 256x Texture Pack and are getting crashes, you need to do the following. (If you are on Windows 7 64-Bit)
3. Un-patch your minecraft.jar with MCPatcher (the new one), then click Options and change the heap size to 768. After that, patch Minecraft with MCPatcher.
4. Run Minecraft, open the Texture Packs folder and copy in PhotoRealism.x256.zip. Click it inside the MC Client, once, and wait. Once the client has changed textures, you can be sure the Texture Pack is working.
5. Enjoy. Hope this works. If it doesn't I can't help you, this is just what I did.
Bump.
This isn't really relevant to ATI graphics cards, but it really will help people with installing this pack.
I have an ATI card and never had a single issue with Minecraft.
