Hello, I installed this, nice beatiful, gorgeous etc. Texture pack. It looks fantastic. Works perfect, But there is a But. Do the wooden steps get black? I use TooManyItems mod. A Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Minecraft 1.5_01. Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz 256 MB VRam 2 GB ram. Thanks.
semi off topic question: i am using a mac and have used this texture pack before but i have recently been trying out mods. on a mac you can take the minecraft.jar and decompress it and it will still work, but for MCpatcher it wont recognize it as a .jar file. is there any way to turn it back into a regular .jar and not a folder with a .jar ending. thanks!

i tried 128x 128 and still mojang sign and then baaammm !!!!!

AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30 GHz
2.00 GB RAM
NVIDA GeForce 8500 GT

my brothers comp is about the same with a shittier video card and he runs 128x just fine since updating his nvidia drivers. (they were released a week ago.)
At first I the game was crashing with the 256x, then I updated java for my 64 Bit PC and it worked perfectly. The pack is beautiful, no errors once so ever.

You dont need anything even close to a 12k computer to run minecraft at 256X
even if you dont build it yourself, my Alienware (Dont grief me please) is at $1700 and runs it perfectly, on dual monitors, while watching a Blue ray on the other monitor. =]

Alienware has come a long way, i promis you =) altho, you gota be smart on how you buy, Example is getting the CPU overclocked by Alienware is a MASSIVE waste of money.
in the end, i only payed $200 over what i would have, had i built the system myself. so for pre-built and unified warranty, i think it's worth it.

I would definitely try 64x... but you may not be able to go passed 32x.

I don't understand your post at all.
However your PC isn't really good enough to play 256x256, and I don't believe you can even play 128x128 without ANY lag.

If using a 64 bit operating system, are you using 64 bit Java?
How does it crash the client? does it just go non responsive?
