You jut got here, so you may not realize that the "utter d bag" has been here helping people getting their texture packs to work when they cannot follow simple instructions.
He's probably so sick and tired of answering the same old stupid questions from people with no common sense, that now he doesn't bother being nice about it. Nor should he have to be.
He's right - if people would just take a moment to read, and engage their brains before posting, we wouldn't have to do volunteer tech support. You should be thanking him for being here, not using your first post to set yourself against us.

I unstalled java and reinstalled, still getting the crash. Do you have steam or use IRC, some other instant messaging? Play on a particular server?
I mainly play on a private server with my girlfriend and a couple of my friends. Also, was 64bit Java a viable option?

Phantom has supported this pack for a long time and even provides semi-stable download links. We can probably both agree that it gets very frustrating after about 1k-1.5k of these posts are people not following directions and blaming it on the texture pack instead of their incompetence. /rant
Alright, thanks for the compliment and I REALLY want that wildgrass to get updated sometime soon. Mods take a bunch of effort to decompile and recompile every time an update comes along. I also can't wait for him to implement the seaweed/underwater life into his wildgrass. =D

Some nice looking things about this mod, and I'm a big fan of financially supporting mod and app makers in this and other games for work that often starts as a personal hobby and turns into something with 100 bells and whistles.
That being said, I would never download this mod and try it, nor support it's creators and supporters. Phantom, you're proud of being an internet douchebag? Really? A written FAQ won't help - people like that have demonstrated, time and again, that they simply don't read the instructions, or even previous posts on the same page that contain their answer.
Take a look at how many times a day we have to tell people to use the new HD Patcher, despite that being emphatically noted in each pack's installation instructions with links directly to it and in spite of the sticky at the top of the forum. Or how many times a day we have to explain to people that their pack is grayed out because they zipped it wrong.
FAQs don't work because the people with the questions don't bother to read them - they just rush through the steps and then post for help when it doesn't work. Often times, they won't even read answers directly in reply.
Forgive me for saying so, but it's hard to empathize with people like that. You want to show some empathy? Have a little for the people who have to deal with fools who think their own time is more valuable then ours.

I tested out the rain fix with the 256 pack think the orginal was better as the water droplets look a bit cartoony.
I think the reason he changed the water is because it was harder to see. Not sure if this is correct, but I think its right. Keep the older one if you like it -.^

did you by chance delete your bin folder and start fresh when you used the patcher?
I went to the .minecraft folder under roaming, and backed up my saves. Then deleted the .minecraft folder. Next, I ran the minecraft exe to reinstall, then patched the game with the latest photo realism patch.
So, yes, the bin and everything else.
Unless.... your meaning delete the Bin folder after the game is reinstalled then run the patcher?

I admit this is some really HD stuff but EVERYTHING LOOKS SO HIDEOUS. The weapons and tools especially.
