Just a note, the website is down because the server is experiencing hardware difficulties.
My host said they sent the hardware department to fix it.

The ETA for downtime is 30-50 minutes.
Hopefully once they are done it'll be up much more.

I am talking to support about the previous downtime too, though.
Maybe both problems are related, who knows.

Okay so I have a problem with the 256x. I've installed everything correctly, I can run the 128x fine. When I go to select the 256x from the texture pack menu it freezes for a bit then crashes and sometimes it loads the pack and I go to generate a world and it blackscreens after "Saving Chunks" and then crashes. Any help will be appreciated, I can post any information that might be needed.

Which resolution pack do you guys prefer? I'm using a 1080p 21.5" monitor and I find the 256 so detailed its pixely if that makes sense.

Also, what mods are good with this pack?

I prefer 64x64, because anything higher than 64x64 leaves the terrain extremely noisy.

Hey scuttles. Been using this for a week now, and its amazing! The ONLY thing i don't like about it is the glowstone, i find that more of a building material, and your pack makes it a bit less appropriate for building. But thats my only complaint, which is amazing. every other pack i have tried(which has been at least 100) had at least 4 complaints XD
Anyways, keep up the great work!
P.S. I LOVE the think rain cover :biggrin.gif:

Same here. 64x, IMO, has the best balance between appearance, performance, and detail.

i saw my friend using this pak so then i downloaded it... it makes my game crash. do you need to patch it even if you have the 64x64 one?

Yes, you still need to use the HD texture patcher for anything above 16x. Make sure you have the Beta 4 patcher or later.

I didn't die, don't worry... Unfortunately, my computer did. Posting from phone. If I get some cd's, I might be able to get ubuntu again. Until then, I will be at my grams in like 2 weeks, may be able to play then if I dont get discs sooner. I will troll this topic/thread on my phone, occasionally posting. See you after my dinner.

one thing i realized is the guis are a little bit too dark. you can't really see the text in them and you can barely see glass in your inventory. that my only issue with the pack

You can change the GUI, just grab one from another pack that you like and put it in the GUI folder :smile.gif:

One thing I noticed about my memory usage. I set -Xms512m -Xmx2048m java heap size(I have 8GB RAM). I have 100% allocated memory (around 997MB), but I have about 67% used memory (around 660MB) out of 997MB. I still get 200-300fps with no lag spikes. Should I be worried or is it nothing?

EDIT 1: The allocated memory went down to 88-90% (815MB) after playing a while.
EDIT 2: The allocated memory is the same without messing with java heap size.

This pack'll really beat the living crap out of your computer. Good test for new rigs.

If you know you have a **** computer, *DO NOT get it. If you do, you could say that a creeper blew up your video card.

I haven't tested breaking birch with any other type of axe but thats my problem any one know a fix?

I think your issue is in the fact that you are running a 125x125 texture pack, which doesn't exist...

Anyway, in all seriousness: This has absolutely nothing to do with the texture pack... why post this here?

be sure if u have a 64bit OS to get the 64 bit of java installed
