i have the same problem hovertac had earlier. only thing is ive got 64 bit java, had fesh installs of minecraft and then patched it with the current hd patcher. everytime i put the 256 version in the texturepack folder and then select it in game i get a black screen and then it freezes. and then if i try to load minecraft again it crashes after login. hope this isnt some stupid error :sad.gif:
I really like your idea and also please help me with this

I got it working by deleting all old minecraft files and redoing from scratch, worked perfectly. As long as you're using a fresh install, new patcher and the resolution size that is digestible by your PC, you shouldn't have too many problems. If you're crashing on block interaction, make sure to re-download your files and start from scratch - it doesn't take long and it's definitely worth it.
Much better rain, for you Scuttles.
Also, make sure you're using the new patcher. You weren't were you?

where you live?
edit (to save another post): imagine making the rain and snow blocks of wood, or cats!! or....
So it could Rain cats and dogs eh? That sounds like an awesome idea...
Ok, we went through this a few days/pages ago. If you are on 1.5_1 and crashing due to breaking/placing blocks with this pack installed, it is 99% caused by using the old patcher. Please use the BETA MC patcher before asking for help in this thread, as it will remove the crash issue. The old patcher no longer works in conjunction with the new update and this pack.
Lot's of people are posting the crash problem without reading the last few pages of the thread, causing some useless posts.

Yea, the old rain was a disaster when I realized the difficulty of actually seeing. XD
I'm happy that you got it to work finally. Usually a fresh install will do the trick.

I have a question: is your pack working together with pwned's better_fences mod?
I have no idea. Could you post a link?

Awesome texture pack, I really like the rain and snow :biggrin.gif:
But are there no textures for the new booster rails.
Rail textures should be in all the packs. I just checked a moment ago. =\

someone please help me with this error
Seems like you're out of memory. Have you tried reinstalling Java or, if you have a 64bit system, 64bit Java?

Just downloaded the 256x pack and sent my pc into cardiac arrest. Is there anyway to boost my fps without downscaling this magnificent texture pack?
Depends. What are your system specs?
Haha, it happens. XD
Anyway, there are a few mods out there that boost fps, but I'm not sure of the names anymore.
Got the link from your first post btw. :wink.gif:
It gives me some trouble to install, because it always ends in a black desktop and game crashes. That goes as long as I use the McPatcher again, which is, of course, deleting the mod by packing the minecraft.jar
It DOES work without texturepack though.
Oh, lol
Didn't realize you said Pwned's mod. XD
Yea, it should work with it. I'm not sure why it isn't. Usually you have to patch it, then place the files into the .jar.
Or maybe it really isn't compatible with the new patcher. =/

This can happen if you simply don't have a computer that can run it...right?
Also was the rain changed? I saw mention of it being changed but seemed more like a user of the mod changed it instead of the actual mod having it changed. I am simply having a lot of trouble seeing through the rain and it looks more lie a blizzard is happening.

Thanks for making such an awesome texture pack. :biggrin.gif:
Quite welcome. Glad you got it working. =)

At the corner of Dude and Sweet. :wink.gif:
In other words, i aint tellin... LOL

Good Point. Maybe edit the original thread for the new people?

Best of luck. His mods usually work with just about anything. I haven't tried any mods at all with the new updates, though.
Anyone?
