You'd think that this would work, but hundreds of people have "tried" it and still are having issues. I'm thinking the new update screwed something up, but I'm not sure.
Works fine for me, it has to be user error :\
I'm running MC 1.5_01 + Optimine + MCPatcher 2.0 Beta 4 with your x64 pack.
Runs flawlessly.

Yep. I'm running this pack on all the resolutions without a single issue and even intentionally installed incorrectly to see if it had the same results. No such luck.

Must have missed that. I did alot of skimming through the comments due to most of them being spam of the pack not working correctly and errors that I have no idea about. XD
I really love this texture. Everything looks so real except one thing I don't like is clouds. Even the clouds looks better than the default texture, but it's no where near real and it looks burly. Can you add clouds texture like viewtopic.php?t=264365&f=1032 to this pack? It would be great and the pack would be completed in my opinion.

That mod hasn't been updated for 1.5 though?
EDIT: Even without the mod, which makes it better, I do prefer those clouds over the ones in this pack.
The clouds in this pack are too close to the default ones IMO.
ok.. so as soon as I saw this texture pack I knew i had to have it. However, upon trying to install it, using both the versions of mcPatcher, I had no luck. That was a few weeks ago, and I figured there might have just been something iffy with the new beta patcher.
I tried downloading and installing everything again after a total wipe of my minecraft folder, just in case. Tried both the old and new patcher, and made sure I had the latest download of your texture pack.
The strange thing is that after patching the 256x, I click the 'test minecraft' button, the game pops up and runs, perfectly fine with the text pack working beautifully. However it skips the login screen of course, and its necessary to run the minecraft.exe file (I think..) But as soon as I try to load the game up like that it force closes. I cant seem to be able to get your texture pack working on the *.exe at all. I can provide error log if needed, but don't want to spam the thread.
I also allocated lots more memory to java as was demonstrated in your video link there. I've used mcPatcher before, the old version, to load up texture packs before, 128x, and had no problems at all. I'm just compleatly stumped to what the issue is... but belive it might just be something stupid I'm over looking.
Thanks for all the great work you've put into this text pack, and as soon as I can get it working for my login, and therefore multiplayer, I'll definitely donate for such amazing art. Would love if you continue updates.. unlike other texture pack designers who simply got bored and left minecraft all together :sad.gif:
*edit* currently fixed by simply using the 128x instead of the 256x. dam 32 bit win7

Try launching Minecraft with more memory, not via Java Heap size, but via command line.
java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
Also try using the jar version of the launcher, instead of the exe.
Hey scuttles, any chance of a patch for a florescence light texture for glowstone? It would be awesome.
I do like the idea of an alternate glowstone texture. I actually pulled up what was done of Peasant's old pack and am using his glowstone texture for now. Any chance you could implement something similar to his?

If I want to see default clouds, I would switch to default pack. I feel the clouds should look more realistic on photo realism texture pack which everything should be photo realistic. That would be great to have real-looking clouds if it is not too much. I'm still good with everything else.

ok.. havent used the run commands in a while.. but I put in your line there, and it did not appear to run anything..
as for the jar version of the launcher, assuming it is minecraft.jar, I get an error when opening it "Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from C:\ ... \bin\minecraft.jar"
I'm still a ways away from knowing what I'm doing...
Love the packs you make :smile.gif: thank you. Just tested out the new 256. The rain is a bit much, I love the splatter sprites but the rain coming down itself is way to thick. might need to add a slight blue hugh and make it less dense? Just a suggestion.
Nice job though. I've been following and using your work for a while now.
You can just replace the rain.png in the pack with the one Scuttles uploaded on page 86. It really looks fantastic in motion
the 256x is weird for me im installing it and patching it with new mcpatcher selecting it from texture packs loging in eveything is flawless until im going to start minecraft next time after mojang logo i get blackscreen and i need to taskmanager to close it i have increased my java heapsize uptaded my java im runing in a 32bit system 3g ram dual core help plz
I had this problem the most likely thing is you're running out of gfx memory. Try switching to x128.
by any change could i have the download link to your world.
if you look on this page, the second photo down, its like a little house but it looks awesome can i please have the download link to that.
Thankxx Man if you do this i will donate to you :smile.gif:

The new gui is a little bit too dark. I can barely see the glass and i looked like 30 seconds for something that i couldn't see , it blends with the gui . (keep up the "HD" work xD )
Really important note for Mac users that I just spent all night figuring out. If Safari automatically decompresses your zip files, using the compress option of Mac OS X will make it incompatible with the HD texture fix patch. I do not know why this is. If you uncheck the 'Open "safe" files after downloading' and then download the texture pack, then transfer it directly into the ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/texturepacks folder it should work.
I found this after having tried deleting the minecraft launcher application, the minecraft folder in Application Support and redownloading everything from scratch.
And yes, I just registered to share this word. I'll cross post in the HD patch thread.
