Haya, been trying for a while to get this texture pack to work, i finally got it to at least start minecraft up by patching 256 instead of 64, but i encounter an error when ever i see the destruct animation complete.
Im running 10.6.7 OSX w/ 8gigs of ram, im running the latest 64bit version of java and the latest minecraft
hmmm, looks like I'll have to try the 128 one. I used the 256 one a little after the 5.1 update (and for the 1.4_01), but for some reason I'm having problems with it after the 5.1_01.
I hope the 128 one looks almost as good as the 256 :sad.gif:
i got a block placement crash solution! :smile.gif: first go to mcpatchers' page and under hot click the link: "here" save it to downloads rename it to jar press patch then launch minecraft go to textures and mods click open load all your texture packs in there and there you have it. One major drawback no custom animations :/
Just got the pack and i'm really enjoying it but I do notice a couple things.
The health indicators don't really match what it seems the pack is going for and the white outline around them is very distracting. Also the rain looks more like a blizzard and you can't see anything.
Oh and for those having problems I found out if you are running a 64-bit system you need 64-bit Java to run this pack.
I've been playing around with the 256, 128 and 64x versions of your pack and I can say that it's vastly improved from when you started out :smile.gif:
I started dabbling with a 64x version for my own pack and where most of the detail has been lost it still mimics the 128x feel. I'll have to sharpen up the images as I go along :smile.gif: Although I barely have time to work on much at the moment =/
You keep up the great work so far :smile.gif:
Ps. I might make a video showing off your pack if you're interested? I've been neglecting making videos for quite some time but I already have two in the works for now :smile.gif:
Hmm... I thought snow was basically rain in a snow biome, but it seemed otherwise.
It is, in my experience. My castle is very near to a snow biome - so when it started to rain, I took a walk over there. At the boundary, the rain changed to snow.
It's my understanding that rain is a worldwide event. Also, it does rain above the cloud level - I built a stack to level 128 and it was still raining up there.

"Don't know why you should feel that there's something to learn... it's just a game that you play."
Wildgrass appears to be not ready for prime time, this pack is compatible but Wildgrass hasn't been updated and it uses sd.class, was for 1.4_01 most recently and since I've seen it posted that the two-letter class names switch around every update it's not surprising.
I only just now noticed the fact that clouds in this pack aren't rectangular solids, bravo on that!!
Someone above posted about diamond ore texture, if there was one criticism of the art I'd mention, it would be the sort of spray painted nature of the colors. Coal looks fine, Iron is plausible as a kind of rusty seam, but the others aren't as convincing. Something nuggetty crystally maybe for diamond and redstone and lapis.
That and my previous plea for something to distinguish the top of a furnace so it's not just a differently colored stone square when I set it into the floor.
I mean this only constructively, I certainly couldn't do better.
Love the packs you make :smile.gif: thank you. Just tested out the new 256. The rain is a bit much, I love the splatter sprites but the rain coming down itself is way to thick. might need to add a slight blue hugh and make it less dense? Just a suggestion.
Nice job though. I've been following and using your work for a while now.
this is NOT 1.5 compatible. I can't play longer than 2 seconds, and I start inside of a block for some reason
Mate, it IS 1.5_01 compatible.
And if you were to use your brain and look at the textures, you'd see all of the 1.5 textures are there... IN HD TOO.
Except for the ****ing web. Damn you Scuttles! :sad.gif:
I really like this pack. I have always liked the smoothness and almost tackieness of Misa's 64x64, so it was a bit hard getting used to this. My FPS dropped a bit, but it was still about equal to Misa's. I'm not sure if I wanna dedicate myself completely to this pack, maybe have a few others to go along with it. The new HD Patcher allows easy switching.
Pros:
Really good image quality, the photographs are so much less pixelated than Misa's
Realistic Biome coloring
Well optimized for a 128x128 pack.
Cons:
Particles look a bit too large and seem to linger
Top TNT texture has no depth, and looks pretty cheesy
All the wood textures are a bit rough, not smooth like Misa's, but I think I can cope.
Cobble is a bit rough, but I like it in a lot of ways.
The biggest issue I have with it? Glowstone. Glowstone is one of my favorite building materials, and works great. The glowstone in this pack is just not good looking to me. I actually like florescence style glowstone.
Is there a patch file I can download to get a white-ish gray florescence light texture? It really makes roof light fixtures look a lot better.
To everyone with issues. Make sure you're using the NEW HD patcher (Beta one). This pack works when everything is installed properly.
Also please post any errors retaining to the patcher in the dedicated thread. I have nothing to do with the patcher. =(

Interesting. The snow looks good I hope? I know that the rain ended in a failure and I'm changing that as soon as possible.

People who are getting crashes need to use the NEW HD patcher, not the old ones. Check the sticky at the top of this forum.
Yes.

Why did you change the water? It looks a little unrealistic now with the new shade of blue.
I liked the old waterrrrr
The water hasn't changed since 6-7 updates ago. It's always been that hue and texture.

Just a few things:
I think you need to change the rain because it is very hard to see when you are in it.
And plz get it 1.5.1 compatible :smile.gif:
Yep. Next update will remedy this. =)

Haha, good to hear from you KD. I thought you dropped the pack after so much downtime. =D
Yea, I've started to become fond of the x64 resolution because it's amazing how much detail can still be obtained with such a low resolution.
I'd be delighted to have you do a video showing this pack off.
Have you updated your pack yet? I've been busy the past few days and haven't had much of a time to look around at other texture packs yet.

I had a bunch of problems using this pack with the minecraft patcher (both new and old one). Basically found out that despite the fact that I had set the memory allocation at a high level of RAM, and having a computer more than capable of running this texture pack, it kept erroring out saying there was not enough memory.
After googling for a while, I discovered I was running the 32bit of Java. So I installed the 64bit with the modified memory allocations, and now it works flawlessly!
Precisely. If you're running on 32bit Java with a 64bit system, you're asking for a crash. Glad you got it working. Seems to be one of the few able to. =/
If you crash after the mojang logo when using the 256 pack, you may want to allow more RAM to java, you can learn how to do this by watching the video on the first page of this post. Note that you will also need the 64bit version of Java to run it.
There's no need to uninstall or delete anything.
Also should say that once you select the texture pack in minecraft options, the application will freeze for a few seconds.
You'd think that this would work, but hundreds of people have "tried" it and still are having issues. I'm thinking the new update screwed something up, but I'm not sure.
