complaints on 16x16 cacti looks crappy (lol) grass i don't know if its supposed to look like that but other wise good i have a preety crapy comp so i cant run 64x64 at all i go to 1 fps and 5
I want to know why minecraft can't actually look like this. The camera movement is so smooth in this video and the lighting is very realistic. What exactly is CinemaCraft?
The camera movement is smooth because I've learned how to control my mouse pretty well. Not gloating, I just feel that I try to animate myself to react like someone looking around would. I also did the MVtool2 based Motion blur which really helps.
Cinemacraft was a title I dubbed end of last year for trying to create some sort of surreal movie like experience in MC. I went overboard with the colors though. And I got tons of hate for it. But it's duly deserved. If someone would emulate some of this stuff inside of a shader I could make it happen probably. I could output curve overlay files if they could be integrated into a shader.
Also, thanks for posting on the front page. A lot of time goes into those videos, mainly prep work testing out everything. The editing is actually rather easy for the most part. But Aageon helped tremendously actually for Cinemacraft 2 and the growth of my youtube channel.
I like what you have going on, and the incredible following you have built up.
I would like to say that there is only two more major projects to tackle on my texture pack before the main majority of it is my created content! Too bad it's the items.png and the mobs :/
I remember when you first made the pack, and I was blown away by the graphics, and I still look forward to seeing all of the developments on your pack!
I am in the process of creating a unique alternate to the current faces of minecraft.
I hope you check it out when it's done! It will include the mods necessary in the installation of the pack itself.
Congratulations on your continuing success Scuttles! :smile.gif:
I like your rpg pack. But, could you make it have brighter colors on the sand and wooden planks? I could hardly tell that the sand was sand because it looked more gray than yellowish. Besides that, It looks great. I'm currently using your 64*64 pack for both the rpg and the normal pack. These are my favorite packs so far! Keep up the great work!

the problem i'm seeing with the x512 texture pack is you can't tell the difference between anything in chests or your inventory. but when you place it stuff looks epic. but thats the problem with minecraft using x16 textures to start with. you can't make it differant images for things in the inventory and placed on the ground.
512 doesnt work...I put 10GB of RAM into java and I still run out of memory
thats probably just because it can't allocate that much. if it won't start because it says out of memory then you need to download x64 java because your 32 bit memory only goes to 3 and a half gigs which is generally hogged up by lots of programs and windows. if minecraft opens then crashes and gives you a error in the minecraft window that says it crashed but saved the world from corruption then you need to allocate more. It works fine for me allocating 2048 bytes
That's funny....I'm using the 64bit Java. The 256x256 works fine.
-IDontGetIt?!-
Unless the file itself is bad because it's gray within Minecraft and shows the Default texture pack picture.
What?
You mean pack.png?
I don't think Scuttles made one yet for the RPG Pack..
I hope he didn't die... He hasn't been replying much lately... Which is a good thing - He's probably working on it :biggrin.gif:

Hey, love the tex pack, but I seem to stutter at a perfectly exceptable fps of around 60-70. I have tried allocating more memory to Minecraft with no resolve. My computer has plenty of ram and a good vid card and cpu. It should be able to handle this in the way I see it. Also, I had to re-install this texture pack and after I did the fore mentioned problem began happening. Idk whats going on so any help would be appreciated.

So if I understood it right I need Java for 64 bit to play with the 128x128 pack or higher.
Do I understood it right ?
In case of the upper terms, is there a solution for a windows 32 bit user ?
Edit1: Okai i tried to change the Java stuff in the Patcher to 2048. And now I havent got the white issue bug. But now the game doesn't run fluently at all. Is it because of my operating system ? I don't think it's because of my hardware.
Changed something again:
So i've done it like I said before. But now I got a white bug again. But not everything is white. Just a few things are white.
So I'm sure it's because of my Java 32 bit version. But there is no possibility to install the Java 64 bit Version because my Windows System runs on 32 bit. Does this mean that i cannot play with the 128x pack or higher ?

You can run it, you may only be able to allocate ~2GB (Without System Crash/Hang) though.
64Bit allows 3GB+
I'm sure Scuttles put a thing in the first post about the White Box error..
You are right. The compressed version might kill the white bug. I tried it and it doesn't work. Minecraft runs out of memory. But without the compressed 128x pack minecraft has enough memory. So that's a problem.
So you say i can install the 64 bit java version on my 32 bit system? Do browser applications etc. keep working ?
Perhaps my system is the problem:
Windows 7 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz
4 GB Memory (3,5 GB to use)
I think my hardware should be good enough for minecraft with the 128x or 256x pack.

How the **** did you get 4GB on a 32 Bit system... I'm calling in HackBusters in this hood.
And no, You can't install anything 64-Bit on a 32-Bit system.
Alright, so, is there any way to actually get the parallax and normal map png files to DO something in the game?
I've got the 256 textures installed and I used MCpatcher to install the unofficial version of the GLSL mod. I put the terrain_s and terrain_nh files into the texture pack's .zip file, and I'm using the texture pack properly. I get the nice DOF, but none of the parallax or shinyness. What gives?
Hey guys. I'm having issues with the "Minecraft running out of memory" with the RPG pack. I can run the Photo Realism pack flawlessly, but not the RPG pack. I tried setting the parameters to "-Xmx4096m" which is four GB, which should be fine with my system, cnsidering I have 8 GB of RAM. Does anyone possibly know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

I love the dogs. Before this pack they were just annoying. Now they are charming., I've named mine Charlie.
