Hi there I just had to say that I am totally in love with this texture pack on 256 + wildgrass. It makes my world look like a rich, tropical jungle and immerses me unlike any other pack- and I've tried many, including Misa's and Bumpmaft. I think you've done an amazing job thus far! The only thing I wonder about is the glowstone... I'm not sure I understand what it's supposed to look like, to me it looks like an extreme close-up photo of sand grains or something, and it seems a little out-of-theme to me. Is that the look you were going for, Mr Scuttles, as it's from the Nether after all?
Thought I'd also show off some images with your pack:
My primary home cabin:
View of the jungle from inside the cabin:
View of an obsidian tower from the same cabin at night:
And lastly, the bottom floor of my branch mine, which I also use as an art gallery:
The upper right hand corner- nickhimself
nickhimself was a big inspiration because his work was phenomenal and, to my opinion, hasn't been bested in the 256x256 realm
:-*
Haha, wow! =D
Haven't heard from you at all before.
I generally don't come to this site anymore but I periodically receive messages on Youtube requesting my pack and it reminded me that I had an un-read message here.
I really like the direction you've taken the pack, it looks amazing.
here is your water/lava with shaders...after I changed it again...lol also they have bumpmapping w/o shaders :tongue.gif: (still have to have them installed, but it doesn't need a separate height map. custom.zip
Edit: @Pazaz yup...was time for a change..lol figured me all G'd out was fitting :tongue.gif:
IT'S SOOOOOOO EPIC! My Jaw instantly dropped when I saw this. Is It Possible For You You Shrink The Image Down Because The HD Patcher Epicly Fails On Me (Screws Up MineCraft's Login Stuff)?
Here is a mushroom that's just like in the Mario Games

Excuse my stupidity, but how exactly do you install them?

PLEASE keep up the great work :biggrin.gif:
I will continue work on it. Whether you decide it's "great" or not is a matter of opinion. Very nice images, btw. It's really unique you kind of built around your surroundings instead of demolishing it like most people would. I prefer your method and cope with the land. It makes it so much more beautiful when it seems natural.
The glowstone has been an issue that I've put off for far too long. It was originally a hand drawn/burned/dodged portion of sky, if I recall correctly. Don't ask me why, half of this stuff is something no one would have ever guessed. XD
One example would be the snow. I accidentally inverted the original chunk of sand and noticed it looked pretty cool. Next thing you know, snow is made.

I can't maintain a decent image if I went any lower than 64, I'm sorry. =(
What exactly happens with the HD patcher? I may be able to help. Half this thread is troubleshooting anyway.

Thank you. =)
I really means alot to get a compliment from one of the biggest inspirations to this pack. It really all started when I was browsing youtube and found one of your videos on some other game. It might have been black light, but I'm not sure anymore.

You look pretty damn G'd out to me. XD
I wore a suit similar to that for prom when I was in high school. I might have to scrounge up a picture, lol
I'll have a look at the shaders and make some refinements. I can't use them on this computer, but I'll be able to run them on my main computer whenever I have time. =)
I'm not sure if you fixed this yet But when testing the 128x128 (Its 2.9.0, Unknown if you did a miniupdate)
I got some stray pixels on the diamond sword...
o.e right?
lets see...runin' water ALWAYS runs backwards.. and something is seriously wrong with gimp converting an animation filtered texture to a still image. it always gets errors in the layers somehow, but runs seamlessly in the playback >.> I had to blur it all out for that test run :sad.gif: but I got the waves down :tongue.gif: aaaand I just can't get the whole strething the image to make it run right down...trying the long version tomorrow...moving layer after layer 1 pixel at a time.
Edit: and i finally got around to making mossy stone

Thanks for the catch. ^^
I've fixed it. It'll be in the next update. I'm not sure if I did any updates outside of 2.9.0. 3.0.0 Will come with (hopefully) some more amazing stuff instead of using other packs as a crutch.

I can't help you with the animated end unless you can send the series of images. I could fix your flowing water for you, though.
stupid uniblue dumped my recycle bin...so no flowing water... was just the still water filled into a 512 wide canvas and shrunk back to 128. Here is the original file...well...the last one.. figured out it animates the same at 128,64 or 32 frames. http://www.mediafire.com/?a16c6dlat8v4llq
if you tell me exactly how much to stretch it I know i can work it out...don't have a clue about the still water issue tho.

Bah, I need GIMP. =(
Edit:
Using a 128x128, you'll need to stretch the entire strip of flowing water by 128 pixels vertically.
Edit2:
Resaved as a .gif so I could access it... It appears you'll need to recreate each tile seamlessly using some sort of offset method. The "ripple" effect also seems to have tiling issues which may also be causing the problem. It's one hell of a start to still water, though.

Second, Grugsy, You changed your picture?

Edit: always good to own a couple nice shirts and a sport coat. casual yet sophisticated..and I have a thing for fedora's... own a collection.
If you can get that to animate properly and seamlessly, I'm quite impressed. =D
What are you having troubles with, though?
Always great to stay classy.

edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?g1tzezjtim13orf .psd no clue if it'll work
edit: it was rendered by gimp..using the animation filter for ripple effect..auto does it...lol
Does it tile seamlessly in GIMP as well?
